Big facts about the be hairful brush! You put me on to it and I never turned back! 🙏🏽 I used to dive alot and all these tips are on point for curly hair! Prep is a MUST! and after care even more so! But protective styles.... Girrrrrrrl! I've never felt so free!!! Best decision you will ever make in vacation!!! I 1000000000% agree with that tip!
Your comment convinced me to buy it and I just used it for the first time & omggggggg it's a lifesaver. Cut the amount of time I spend detangling in half and caused little to no breakage, yay :)))
YAAAAAAY! Someone finally did a curly hair video for swimmers!! I'm a master swimmer, I swim six days a week and have mastered a routine pre and post swim that keeps my curls popin. I am typically the only person of color at the pools I train in and enjoy pulling my hair out of my swim cap after each swim just to represent. LOL 🤣 I'm beginning to grow gray as I continue to grow my hair out, I am fully accepting each stage of my life. But I won't quit swim just because the chlorine is drying on the hair. I protect my hair with coconut oil and a swim cap and I practice proper pool etiquette by rinsing off before and after each swim. EVERY piece of advice you gave on this subject was spot on, thank you! It was welcomed advice. 👍 You look MARVELOUS, btw - stunning. ❤️ My hair is about your length now, I'm not planning on cutting it yet. I want long curly gray hair one day. I want to represent in that area too.😆
Hey.. Do u wash ur hair before putting on the swim cap and getting in the pool?? Recently joined my local pool for classes and I am absolutely baffled on how to do pre and post care 😅😅
im doing a lifeguardcourse for 5 days next week and have been STRESSINGGGGG about my hair and how it will be after the pool. these tips will absolutely save me and my hair!!!!
I made sure to fill my hair with water and leave-in then braid it before snorkeling. I brought an extra bottle of water just to rinse my hair while on the boat and reapplied leave-in and detangled before re-braiding to keep my hair safe from the wind. The braids also protect most of my hair from the bands on the snorkel mask!
I swim for the whole summer (the perks of living on an island!) and I would recommend using a good chelating shampoo every few weeks. The one I use has sulfates (the Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo) but there are some great sulfate-free chelating shampoos. During the rest of the year, I use it every 4-5 weeks but in the summer I use it a couple of times per month to give my hair a good reset. This might not be for everyone, but I definitely recommend using a chelating shampoo if you swim often or live in an area with hard water.
Kayla Smith they probably just used it too frequently and got protein overload or their hair is protein sensitive so they should deep condition after they do it too
Hi! Olaplex No. 3 is a pre-shampoo bond-building treatment. Your hair is made up of bonds. As you go through your life, wetting your hair, detangling, heat styling, etc., you're breaking those bonds. Olaplex helps rebuild them. Since Olaplex No.3 is a PRE-SHAMPOO TREATMENT, it is NOT A CONDITIONER. So you should be applying it on dry hair, before you wash. Olaplex is not a protein or moisture treatment. It's just a bond-builder. So apply whatever hair masque and conditioner you need AFTER you wash your Olaplex out with shampoo.
The only bad thing about watching you is that I can't buy the products you recommend! I can't find them down here in Brazil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷 But I like following you!!! Your baby is soooooo cute!!
omg thank you so much for acknowledging synchronized swimmers! i swim all of the time because i am a synchronized swimmer and everyone always forgets about us. thanks so much for making this video!!
I have been binging your videos all day! I'm a little caucasian lady with 2c/3a hair and a family with NO CLUE how to take care of it. I'm in college and beginning my hair journey and you are the first person I've found to give me solid curly hair advice! Thank you for your approachable, easily understood content!
I literally look forward to these weekly videos. I seriously feel more educated about my curly hair and more comfortable/confident to find the products I need for it. I remember always conditioning my hair before getting into the water for swim and GAME CHANGERR.
This has come at the perfect time! My swimming classes are starting again next week (after being closed due to Covid). I usually moisturise my hair in the morning, my class is at 2:30pm, and then i do 2 flat twists and use a swimming cap and then wash my hair when I get home. 🏊🏽♀️❤️
Amaaaaazing tips wow I never thought of pre-wetting your hair!!!! I’ve been scared of pools ever since I started growing out my curls so maybe I will be good to try this at my next pool opportunity! :)
Spilling the Tea! I’m a mermaid and I didn’t even know some of this stuff! I try to avoid pools at all cost, but the ocean is my life and I find that the salt water actually helps my hair. But I still rinse it off after. And as a swimmer I used to do the conditioner trick under my cap and it was magic.
What i love most about this video is that Bianca was actually like understanding that yes, its easier to just keep your hair out of the water--but curly girls wanna go swimming too! So heres how to do that!
Great tips Bianca- BUT, I need to know what you did to your hair in this video! I always look for flatter curls- IK- don’t faint...I don’t like big fluffy hair!😬And Yes, to Olaplex please!❤️
I've used it for years. I have virgin hair and it only helps my hair. Of course, everyone is different but I've never heard of any of my curly girlfriends having damage from olaplex.
H Thank you for you response. What hair type do you have? I think I have type 3, I purchased it then never used it bc I was scared of damaging my curls.

Oh my goodness! We went to highschool together! Even back then Bianca had BEAUTIFUL hair. I use the olaplex 3-7 and switch between the sol de Janeiro shampoo/condition. If you haven't tried the body oil with SPF 30 in.....its AMAZING.
Thank you for the tips, I love your channel sooo much. I am just starting a channel and I just wanted to say that you have inspired me to start a channel. Thank you.
I have wavy/curly hair and I’ve had to wash my hair EVERYDAY on vacation bc of the pool, lots of sweat, the ocean, etc. And honestly, i am NOT looking forward to coming back home and having to deal with getting back into routine😩😂
As a pool owner to an inground pool of 30 years I always ask my friend and family to please wash out any products you have in your hair because you leave an oil slick on top of the water, that then throws off the chemical balance and as a pool owner I would have to spend more money to get the pH balance for my water correct. Please wash and/or rinse your hair first! Do not put anything on it before going to someone else pool! unless you plain on paying for the chemicals to keep the Ph balance correct $$$.
Tasha Love EXACTLY!! I have an inground pool as well and trust me, all that oil and leave in WILL mess up the pool to some degree. Even if a bunch of people are wearing sunscreen, I find that I have to fix the chemical balance bc it gets all outta wack😣 pls DO NOT put too much oil or leave in before getting into a pool, or just wear a protective style to avoid most of it all together
I was just reading a post about a home owner using dawn to get out the oil slick left by someone using oil in their hair before going into the pool. Things non pool owners don’t think about unfortunately.
I wish more people would see this! Like the youtube community of CG's are amazing, but giving advice when not understanding the logistics of how pools work or how using LIC and oil can negatively impact the ocean is so dangerous and to be quite frank a bit irresponsible (and I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm saying this in the most respectful way possible bc we need to have these discussions)! Yup, there is most definitely an oil spill and condish spill that happens when you wet your hair put something in and then go into the pool and it damages that pool, so unless people are ok with ruining someone else's pool for their own betterment i'd recommend doing after care like chelating and deep conditioning or just straight up using a swim cap if y'all dont want damage. BC quite honestly it's VERY rude to ruin something that does not belong to you just for hair health.
I don’t have curly hair but this really helped me I used to go swimming every Thursday and my hair used to be so frizzy and dry and matted I don’t go swimming any more but this still really helped

@Biancarenee you are my curls goddess... thanks for the tips this was really helpful... I will love to see a full Olapex video. I been skeptical on buying them plus they are expensive
Yesssss I've been waiting for this video. As a swimmer I'm in the pools a lot but I don't want to completely ruin my hair, I'm so glad you made this video!!
I use olaplex on my and my daughter's virgin hair. Her fragile toddler curls have greatly been strengthened by adding a small dollop as a leave in. She has no breakage and very few split ends. I use a tiny bit on my waist length waves as a leave in ( yes, there are professional stylists who recommend it used that way) I find I get the benefits without having to use a lot of product. It makes that tiny expensive bottle last awhile 😊. I do occasionally use it in the traditional way as well.
Well this is how I know I've been following you for a while! My daughter has the same curls as you and we do the exact things you said to do and we have no problems with detangling. She is 3 and her hair is now past her butt thanks for all the tips!
Aw man i actually bought this because of you on your first video you made on this brush, and i have to say i agree with you on how good it is. i wish i would have waited to use your promo code.
Good timing. My cousin has a pool and I live in the Central Valley where the temp has been consistently in the triple digits. I was just wonder if Bianca Renee had a video about pool hair care.
Curly haired mermaid checking in who also enjoys the loose look and then dealing with the tangles... still learning though. Super grateful for this video Please, please, PLEASE do a video on Olaplex. My hair has had so much mistreatment for so long I’ve even cut to try and restart and I do a little bit but still struggle with seeing the health stay and take off in the right direction which then just cycles me back into bad habits ngl.
I would love to see an Olaplex video. It’s so expensive I haven’t tried it yet. It seems like they advise you to use the No. 0 with the No. 3. I didn’t even check to see if it has silicone. If it doesn’t maybe you could include that one too.
Thank you!!! I need this. I am giving braids a break! Literally lost fist full of hair the last time I did braids both knotless and regular. I look forward to having my curls out and about on vacation next month!
Please do an olaplex video! Looking at the reviews for no. 3 I've seen some people say it made their hair break off, possibly because their hair strands were too thin or because they didn't have chemical damage. I'd appreciate it so much if you could look into it and help us figure out when its okay to use olaplex and when it's not! Thanks for your amazing videos!

@Biancarenee you are my curls goddess... thanks for the tips this was really helpful... I will love to see a full Olapex video. I been skeptical on buying them plus they are expensive
Protective style...yes, what did it think of that before. Thank you. Adding the oils before it’s a great tip. You rock!!
I got in the pool yesterday. Going to do a protein mask because I haven’t done one in like a month ... great video girl 🤍
Yes I’ve been seeing olaplex a lot I wanna know if it’s safe for curly hair
If is
It is
I’d say olaplex is most used by curlies lol
Yesssss I've been waiting for this video. As a swimmer I'm in the pools a lot but I don't want to completely ruin my hair, I'm so glad you made this video!!
Olaplex tutorial please❤️
PS I love you 😍💞🙌🏼💃
Any ocean-safe leave-ins we could put in our hair before swimming in an ocean? Do oils effect the ocean(life) negatively?
no bc its natural.
Oils negatively impact ocean life bc they are not natural found in the ocean - hope this helps!
Nooo wayyy I never thought I’d live to see the day where Bianca Renee tells us to use silicone
Well this is how I know I've been following you for a while! My daughter has the same curls as you and we do the exact things you said to do and we have no problems with detangling. She is 3 and her hair is now past her butt thanks for all the tips!
Yes, a video on Olaplex would be great😃
Aw man i actually bought this because of you on your first video you made on this brush, and i have to say i agree with you on how good it is. i wish i would have waited to use your promo code.
Super grateful for this video
Please, please, PLEASE do a video on Olaplex.
I needed this video! My children have kept me in the pool this summer🤦🏽♀️
PLEASE do an Olaplex video! it would be so informative and helpful!
I Just love this lady! 💙💙
Thank you!!! I need this. I am giving braids a break! Literally lost fist full of hair the last time I did braids both knotless and regular. I look forward to having my curls out and about on vacation next month!
Please give us an Olaplex video 🙏🏽💕

, love your videos
Keep them coming
Please do an olaplex video! Looking at the reviews for no. 3 I've seen some people say it made their hair break off, possibly because their hair strands were too thin or because they didn't have chemical damage. I'd appreciate it so much if you could look into it and help us figure out when its okay to use olaplex and when it's not! Thanks for your amazing videos!
