As a sufferer of severe cystic acne since I was 14, I can tell you getting a bowl of ice cold water will definitely help your acne. I've taken and tried everything, I've even done Accutane for a year, TWICE. Doxycycline, Minocycline. If Accutane doesn't work Permanently for you this might be the only fix. I went to a Dermatologist every month since my 14th birthday up until I was 20. 72+ times.
as a 22 year old, My clear skin routine is a Bowl of Ice cold water, Submerge your face for 10 seconds, take out, wait 30, again 10 seconds, repeat 3 times. I usually just submerge my face for 30 seconds, after 30 seconds I use Benzoyl Peroxide wash on my face, massage it for 2 minutes all over then rinse it off. Your face should look a lot better and will have lost inflammation within 5 minutes, ALWAYS use a clean washcloth, not some towel. Buy 20 White Wash cloths and just wash them all together, NEVER use the same one twice without washing.
At night I use Cerave Foaming Cleanser in the shower, After I eat dinner I take Vitamin D, Zinc, Fish Oil, and Magnesium pills, All Separate so its about 4 different pills. (A side effect of Zinc is you don't get sick, Haven't gotten sick in 2 years.)
The most critical thing is Tretinoin Cream, I use 0.1% Tretinoin cream which is a high concentration, maybe even the highest. Never start at anything more than 0.025% maybe start at even less. It took me over a year to get from 0.025 to 0.1%. You will purge at first but your skin will look Flawless. I used to have ACTUAL SCARS, NOT Hyperpigmentation that went away even when I still had Cystic Acne because of Tretinoin Cream, It took years. Every week I cut the leaf of an Aloe vera Plant and submerge it in a bowl of water for 20 minutes, you want to let the yellow stuff leak out. Then cut a small piece, then cut it in half and rub it on your face. You can do this before or after the Tretinoin, wait 20 minutes between. They're a great combo and are proven to be effective together in studies. Aloe vera Hydrates your face, Lowers inflammation, and helps scarring, its perfect.
Always use a clean Pillowcase and flip it everyday, every 2 days switch or wash. If you can, ONLY sleep on your back, so your face never comes in contact with any surfaces.
Cut down SIGNFICIANTLY on sugary food, and limit Milk intake, for me Dairy is completely fine but I never drink milk more than twice a week. You want a low glycemic diet to keep inflammation low in your body. Intermittent fasting helps a lot, Black Coffee DOES NOT break an intermittent fast.
I understand this is a lot to do for acne, for me this is what I had to do to keep my skin clear. I was clear for a year until I went on vacation for 3 weeks in which I started breaking out like crazy, once I returned to my routine everything cleared after 2 weeks and I've been clear for a year.
I wrote this for people that WANT to clear their acne no matter what. I still have nightmares from being in class and a student pointing out that my face was bleeding, A cyst had randomly popped and it was very humiliating. Acne can absolutely ruin your life as it did mine, I could not escape my obsession with it and developed severe OCD in my teens.
If you want instant results and don't want to Purge take the 4 pills with a meal (Zinc, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Magnesium), Submerge your face in ice water like I said previously. Always use a clean wash cloth and always sleep on your back. Rub Aloe Vera leaf on your face before bed. Don't drink Milk and cut down on sugar, Eat Low Glycemic Index Foods. Do this and you WILL SEE INSTANT RESULTS, YOUR FACE WILL NOT GET WORSE. Within 3 days you will see less inflammation, less breakouts, less redness.
For those of us with Severe Cystic Acne, you might need a little more help. Benzoyl Peroxide and Tretinoin Will break you out and make you purge. It can be bad and last weeks but it is well worth it. I would try Tretinoin First at a low concentration 0.025% or lower. I recommend everyone take it even if you don't have acne, your skin doesn't age and damage may even be reversed, scarring will slowly fade and disappear.
Benzoyl Peroxide is pretty harsh as well, I recommend the wash, it can even be used on the body. It is drying and can cause lots of redness and irritation, in my case it was pretty painful at times. It works great though and kills acne causing bacteria. Don't use at night cause it diminishes the effects of Tretinoin and leads to tons of irritation.
If you do what I wrote above you WILL SEE RESULTS! Take time to implement the harsher products. Dermatologist like to push Accutane on people, It can work and you will be clear on it, off of it is not guaranteed to keep working. I have lasting health issues cause of Accutane that my dermatologist admitted and no longer recommend to many patients, It would've been worth it had it cleared my acne but after 2 year long Accutane courses and monthly labs, It didn't clear my acne for longer than 3 months after. NOT WORTH IT
Doxycycline and Minocycline are commonly prescribed antibiotics for acne, typically prescribed before Accutane. Antibiotics work great for acne but I have not heard of anyone having any lasting results, Some weeks after stopping they break out, sometimes even worse than before the antibiotics. Doxycycline can also cause teeth staining, I've seen it, its not pretty. When you take Doxy don't lay down for 1 hour, Dermatologists don't mention this often but it can cause esophageal ulcers and burns. Minocycline works well and lowers inflammation, again, results are not permanent, acne comes back worse, and Longer use can lead to very bad skin discoloration which is Gray and Blue, can be all over the body and face, and takes years to go away, Dermatologists recommend lasers to remove the discoloration
That is all I have to say, I hope nobody has to suffer from acne, I had a severe case that would make dermatologist gasp, now I have great skin that Dermatologists ask about, None believe that I even had to be on Accutane and have severe cystic acne.

Guys I actually suffered from acne, and I’ve felt very much insecure. My face was itching and burning and one day I decided to ice my face. I’ve been using ice consistently for almost a month and all my acne / inflammation faded and to my surprise i also realised that it is starting to lighten my dark spots/ hyperpigmentation. I was very surprised and started doing research whether it was the ice because my routine is very simple (I left out toners as well because I’ve always felt like my face did better without a toner) and I can gladly say that Icing improves blood circulation in the face hence it can lighten dark spots as well ! 😩😩I’m soo happy because I couldn’t afford expensive treatments.
Pro tip: i know dermatologist suggest you should only ice once a day to 3 times a week… I’ve used it twice a day - just rub it fast on your face for 30 seconds and voila😍😍

What about pure aloe vera scraping it directly from the inside and freeze it in an icing holder? Because aloe vera products, such as cream, are fake and don't contain pure aloe.

D 6:20 erm a is ok if you can keep. but you have to spend every mont. I go to derma twice only because my pocket couldn't afford it😂😅 the derma told me i get clear skin after 3 to 4 sessions . they gave me cream for my pimples but it doesn't affect me. so I research I found that ice is good for acne. and when I tried the ice on my face I saw the difference my acne .

All I see is a dermatologist who watch UA-cam videos observed and critiqued people applying ice to their face. Unfortunately, I didn't find it informative or educational in any way. From my perspective, this video is pointless and a waste of time. I give this video a thumbs down.👎

It just seems like you’re trying to be negative, talking about her drowning herself, mam how is that even possible. From beginning to end you your video pissed me off. Even chemical products have side effects and problems when used wrong !
