As a sufferer of severe cystic acne since I was 14, I can tell you getting a bowl of ice cold water will definitely help your acne. I've taken and tried everything, I've even done Accutane for a year, TWICE. Doxycycline, Minocycline. If Accutane doesn't work Permanently for you this might be the only fix. I went to a Dermatologist every month since my 14th birthday up until I was 20. 72+ times. as a 22 year old, My clear skin routine is a Bowl of Ice cold water, Submerge your face for 10 seconds, take out, wait 30, again 10 seconds, repeat 3 times. I usually just submerge my face for 30 seconds, after 30 seconds I use Benzoyl Peroxide wash on my face, massage it for 2 minutes all over then rinse it off. Your face should look a lot better and will have lost inflammation within 5 minutes, ALWAYS use a clean washcloth, not some towel. Buy 20 White Wash cloths and just wash them all together, NEVER use the same one twice without washing. At night I use Cerave Foaming Cleanser in the shower, After I eat dinner I take Vitamin D, Zinc, Fish Oil, and Magnesium pills, All Separate so its about 4 different pills. (A side effect of Zinc is you don't get sick, Haven't gotten sick in 2 years.) The most critical thing is Tretinoin Cream, I use 0.1% Tretinoin cream which is a high concentration, maybe even the highest. Never start at anything more than 0.025% maybe start at even less. It took me over a year to get from 0.025 to 0.1%. You will purge at first but your skin will look Flawless. I used to have ACTUAL SCARS, NOT Hyperpigmentation that went away even when I still had Cystic Acne because of Tretinoin Cream, It took years. Every week I cut the leaf of an Aloe vera Plant and submerge it in a bowl of water for 20 minutes, you want to let the yellow stuff leak out. Then cut a small piece, then cut it in half and rub it on your face. You can do this before or after the Tretinoin, wait 20 minutes between. They're a great combo and are proven to be effective together in studies. Aloe vera Hydrates your face, Lowers inflammation, and helps scarring, its perfect. Always use a clean Pillowcase and flip it everyday, every 2 days switch or wash. If you can, ONLY sleep on your back, so your face never comes in contact with any surfaces. Cut down SIGNFICIANTLY on sugary food, and limit Milk intake, for me Dairy is completely fine but I never drink milk more than twice a week. You want a low glycemic diet to keep inflammation low in your body. Intermittent fasting helps a lot, Black Coffee DOES NOT break an intermittent fast. I understand this is a lot to do for acne, for me this is what I had to do to keep my skin clear. I was clear for a year until I went on vacation for 3 weeks in which I started breaking out like crazy, once I returned to my routine everything cleared after 2 weeks and I've been clear for a year. I wrote this for people that WANT to clear their acne no matter what. I still have nightmares from being in class and a student pointing out that my face was bleeding, A cyst had randomly popped and it was very humiliating. Acne can absolutely ruin your life as it did mine, I could not escape my obsession with it and developed severe OCD in my teens. If you want instant results and don't want to Purge take the 4 pills with a meal (Zinc, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Magnesium), Submerge your face in ice water like I said previously. Always use a clean wash cloth and always sleep on your back. Rub Aloe Vera leaf on your face before bed. Don't drink Milk and cut down on sugar, Eat Low Glycemic Index Foods. Do this and you WILL SEE INSTANT RESULTS, YOUR FACE WILL NOT GET WORSE. Within 3 days you will see less inflammation, less breakouts, less redness. For those of us with Severe Cystic Acne, you might need a little more help. Benzoyl Peroxide and Tretinoin Will break you out and make you purge. It can be bad and last weeks but it is well worth it. I would try Tretinoin First at a low concentration 0.025% or lower. I recommend everyone take it even if you don't have acne, your skin doesn't age and damage may even be reversed, scarring will slowly fade and disappear. Benzoyl Peroxide is pretty harsh as well, I recommend the wash, it can even be used on the body. It is drying and can cause lots of redness and irritation, in my case it was pretty painful at times. It works great though and kills acne causing bacteria. Don't use at night cause it diminishes the effects of Tretinoin and leads to tons of irritation. If you do what I wrote above you WILL SEE RESULTS! Take time to implement the harsher products. Dermatologist like to push Accutane on people, It can work and you will be clear on it, off of it is not guaranteed to keep working. I have lasting health issues cause of Accutane that my dermatologist admitted and no longer recommend to many patients, It would've been worth it had it cleared my acne but after 2 year long Accutane courses and monthly labs, It didn't clear my acne for longer than 3 months after. NOT WORTH IT Doxycycline and Minocycline are commonly prescribed antibiotics for acne, typically prescribed before Accutane. Antibiotics work great for acne but I have not heard of anyone having any lasting results, Some weeks after stopping they break out, sometimes even worse than before the antibiotics. Doxycycline can also cause teeth staining, I've seen it, its not pretty. When you take Doxy don't lay down for 1 hour, Dermatologists don't mention this often but it can cause esophageal ulcers and burns. Minocycline works well and lowers inflammation, again, results are not permanent, acne comes back worse, and Longer use can lead to very bad skin discoloration which is Gray and Blue, can be all over the body and face, and takes years to go away, Dermatologists recommend lasers to remove the discoloration That is all I have to say, I hope nobody has to suffer from acne, I had a severe case that would make dermatologist gasp, now I have great skin that Dermatologists ask about, None believe that I even had to be on Accutane and have severe cystic acne.

Guys I actually suffered from acne, and I’ve felt very much insecure. My face was itching and burning and one day I decided to ice my face. I’ve been using ice consistently for almost a month and all my acne / inflammation faded and to my surprise i also realised that it is starting to lighten my dark spots/ hyperpigmentation. I was very surprised and started doing research whether it was the ice because my routine is very simple (I left out toners as well because I’ve always felt like my face did better without a toner) and I can gladly say that Icing improves blood circulation in the face hence it can lighten dark spots as well ! 😩😩I’m soo happy because I couldn’t afford expensive treatments. Pro tip: i know dermatologist suggest you should only ice once a day to 3 times a week… I’ve used it twice a day - just rub it fast on your face for 30 seconds and voila😍😍

did you use cleaner? I’ve been using cleanser toner and serum for a while now and i started to rub ice on my face recently but only once a day. I’ll try to do it how you said
@@Rainienuabo are you that dense to realize that if we just use ice and she says it works the whole skincare company loses out on tons of money. as he said it's her job to disagree with anything that is easily attainable such as icing your face to get something more pricy.
odd how you 👎the girl with bad skin but 👍 the two girls with clear skin even tho they were all doing the same thing.. not everyone can afford 150-220$ for a derm visit and I've no doubt she has tried otc stuff.
She is pointing out that the icing might look like it works with girls with good skin, but its not real because their skin looksgreat to begin with. It probably works for neither.
@@applepower5 icing does work, though. It's results will not be permanent, and dermatology products are useful here. Icing my face has really helped get rid of my acne and tighten my face, but only because I use a well curated skincare routine alongside it to disrupt the root causes of acne. It can add something, it just isn't a magic cure, which surprise surprise doesn't exist.
Certified dermatologist is the operative word. She will never promote any natural remedy. She's one of those doctors who only studied medicine just to earn money.
@@jonathanfoster4202 I’m vegan and have clear skin, I watch videos of vegans on social media with clear skin also. That should say a lot! It’s definitely the harmful foods and toxic chemicals we consume.
@@Muck_Unknown21 that’s a correlation not a causation. Besides, vegan doesn’t even mean natural either, meat is still “natural,” and all synthetic ingredients used in skin care is vegan. Poison ivy is natural, but it still irritates the shit out of your skin
@@jonathanfoster4202 nah it’s bullshit i healed my acne naturally. Unless you have a very specific condition then you can’t but otherwise acne can be healed by reducing or managing stress, eating healthy, not putting on make-up and having a healthy hygine. That’s about it
Some of y’all didn’t watch the entire video, she’s not completely opposed to icing but you do have to be mindful of how you do it. As a licensed esthetician I encourage you all to listen to the final remarks at the end of the video to avoid injury of the skin. ❤
Ice and super cold water definitely helps my facial skin alot. It helps the blood flow around the face therefre resulting in a healthier skin complexion and colour,
Y’all definitely didnt watch the video🤦🏿♂️she literally said at the end”SHE ISNT COMPLETELY OPPOSED TO IT” and also applying ice directly to the face can actually damage the skin,so the points she was making were valid
I wash my face then dry it after a couple minutes I take one of my clean cotton shirts to hold the ice cube and ice and dry my face then moisturize afterwards. Is this okay?
Rubbing iced cucumber on your face vs Leaving it on your face and falling asleep..... hardly the same thing, i don't think anyone would agree ice on your face and falling asleep is a good idea :p
wow the girls face looked so much better after icing, it’s water and natural, how can you say oh look it’s helping but a dermatologist will be better, you’re either brainwashed by the amount of crap you have been taught to sell products or just can’t see how good it’s done for these women
I've done the icing method for two weeks. Yet, I've seen no good resuts. The ice even made my pimples heal much slower. I'd have to say that WARM COMPRESS helped much better. You guys better use a facial toner mixed with the contents of Clindamycin antibiotic. Shake the bottle and apply it twice daily. Morning and night after washing your face. Shake the bottle everytime you use it.
How didn’t it work for you ? Probably different skin types ? I’ve been using ice consistently for almost a month and all my pimples faded and to my surprise i also realised that it is starting to lighten my dark spots/ hyperpigmentation. @@Itsjodi_Lucia Warm compress worked better for me. It heals my pimples on the spot or 1-2 days (depending upon how often you use it). Warm compress works better because it kills the acne bacterias while ice doesn't. I noticed that when I use warm compress, the pus comes out quickly like as what I have said (ON THE SPOT PUS COMING OUT).
@@Itsjodi_Lucia THE ICE IS EVEN MAKING THE SITUATION WORSE BY CLOSING THE PUS' EXIT EVEN MORE, THE ICE FEELS GOOD ON THE FACE BUT MY PIMPLES GETS BIGGER AND BIGGER WITH IT 🤣🤣🤣 (THE PUS COULD NOT COME OUT BECAUSE IT'S VERY COLD).

Cold remedy on face definitely benifits. But its not recomended to use direct ice on skin since it is extremely cold abd can cause irritation, itching etc. Rather dip a towel in ice water and apply on face. Or do what I do, buy a hot and cold gel pack freeze ot apply on skin very effective.
when I got bad tootache I apply some ice outside my right cheek to reduce the pain, I do it for about 3-4 days before I went for appointment with the dentist. Turns out after the tooth fiasco is done, my right cheek (the one I applied ice) is softer and plumpier than my left. But I never tried icing again after that, it such a hassle to ice my face every so often without a proper device like that ice mask
No one can drown themselves in a bowl of water. It’s impossible to do that to yourself your body will naturally push away and breathe like how does this woman not know that’s such a ridiculous thing to say …you have a fight or flight response and people will not allow themselves to drown themselves in a bowl water.😅😅😅 when people say stupid things like that it makes me think why I listen to anything else that they say if you don’t know basic things like that, then how would I trust you with any other more complex knowledge?😅
What about pure aloe vera scraping it directly from the inside and freeze it in an icing holder? Because aloe vera products, such as cream, are fake and don't contain pure aloe.
D 6:20 erm a is ok if you can keep. but you have to spend every mont. I go to derma twice only because my pocket couldn't afford it😂😅 the derma told me i get clear skin after 3 to 4 sessions . they gave me cream for my pimples but it doesn't affect me. so I research I found that ice is good for acne. and when I tried the ice on my face I saw the difference my acne .
My face starts itching and what I call stress rash what to do it’s worse in a plant I work in a plant we make boxes I sweat the dust paper partials breaks my skin out not bumps bad rash
All I see is a dermatologist who watch UA-cam videos observed and critiqued people applying ice to their face. Unfortunately, I didn't find it informative or educational in any way. From my perspective, this video is pointless and a waste of time. I give this video a thumbs down.👎
It just seems like you’re trying to be negative, talking about her drowning herself, mam how is that even possible. From beginning to end you your video pissed me off. Even chemical products have side effects and problems when used wrong !

NOT WORTH IT
Doxycycline and Minocycline are commonly prescribed antibiotics for acne, typically prescribed before Accutane. Minocycline works well and lowers inflammation, again, results are not permanent, acne comes back worse, and Longer use can lead to very bad skin discoloration which is Gray and Blue, can be all over the body and face, and takes years to go away, Dermatologists recommend lasers to remove the discoloration
That is all I have to say, I hope nobody has to suffer from acne, I had a severe case that would make dermatologist gasp, now I have great skin that Dermatologists ask about, None believe that I even had to be on Accutane and have severe cystic acne.
did you use cleaner? I’ve been using cleanser toner and serum for a while now and i started to rub ice on my face recently but only once a day. I’ll try to do it how you said
I totally agree with you … Rubbing ice cubes have brought some great improvement in my skin texture
damn I have been doing for 2 hours a day too much I guess
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂@@JesusChristDior
It’s her job to disagree with anything She don’t get paid for our remedies
Right
So now skincare experts aren't even trusted when they have the knowledge about skincare?
@@Rainienuabo are you that dense to realize that if we just use ice and she says it works the whole skincare company loses out on tons of money. as he said it's her job to disagree with anything that is easily attainable such as icing your face to get something more pricy.
Exactly
@@fadewhizz are you dense enough that you think ice is the cure for everything? Massive cyst on your back? Just ice it I guess, see what happens
I put my face in ice water every morning before moisturizing. Gotta say, I love it!
Not every one can afford a dermatologist
...nor do we need one.
Fr
odd how you 👎the girl with bad skin but 👍 the two girls with clear skin even tho they were all doing the same thing.. not everyone can afford 150-220$ for a derm visit and I've no doubt she has tried otc stuff.
Agree
Thats because natural does not mean better. I’d probably try putting my trust in an expert who studied the field for up to 13 years
@@jonathanfoster4202 I’m vegan and have clear skin, I watch videos of vegans on social media with clear skin also.
That’s about it
@@jonathanfoster4202her education itself is flawed if she says that icing has "anecdotal evidence" yet admits she uses it herself
Some of y’all didn’t watch the entire video, she’s not completely opposed to icing but you do have to be mindful of how you do it. As a licensed esthetician I encourage you all to listen to the final remarks at the end of the video to avoid injury of the skin. ❤
Thanks, genius.

We know how they performed in school which is why they're not the Professional 🤷🏾♀️💯💯
It’s easy as fuck lmao
Ice really works on skin
Bro this works. We all know u just want ppl to spend money when there are other solutions
Dermatology is ridiculously expensive! Thanks to US healthcare.
i like to ice my face in the morning after i shave and to help reduce puffy eyes and swelling.
lol this women just promoting her own business.." come to us come to us".. no thanks,. Icing my face cured my acne forever
Healthy diet, exercise and good sleep. All you need.
Sometimes its not though
@@LyftyG_ In general.
It is all you need but almost no one knows what that is... especially nutrition
Hello, even when I sleep well my eyes are so puffy in the morning I can barley see even after 8-9 hours of sleep
I go gym, get 8-9 hours of sleep a night and barely eat junk food and I still had to do a round of accutane
By the way - Joan Crawford rinsed her face in ice every day - she looked gorgeous her entire life.....I look to Joan Crawford....thank you......
I wash my face then dry it after a couple minutes I take one of my clean cotton shirts to hold the ice cube and ice and dry my face then moisturize afterwards.
Is this okay?

Cold is always good in the proper measures
3:10 I disagree. If the iced cucumber ripped part of her face off, it definitely DID change her life.
thats what she said
Rubbing iced cucumber on your face vs Leaving it on your face and falling asleep..... hardly the same thing, i don't think anyone would agree ice on your face and falling asleep is a good idea :p
Eww…promoting western medicine over natural remedies
wow the girls face looked so much better after icing, it’s water and natural, how can you say oh look it’s helping but a dermatologist will be better, you’re either brainwashed by the amount of crap you have been taught to sell products or just can’t see how good it’s done for these women
Ice feels better though
How didn’t it work for you ? Probably different skin types ? I’ve been using ice consistently for almost a month and all my pimples faded and to my surprise i also realised that it is starting to lighten my dark spots/ hyperpigmentation. I was very surprised and started doing research whether it was the ice because my routine is very simple (I left out toners as well because I’ve always felt like my face did better without a toner) and I can gladly say that I’ve improves blood circulation in the face hence it can lighten dark spots as well ! 😩😩I’m soo happy because I couldn’t afford expensive treatments.
@@jencampbell2406 what works for me probably won’t work for you. We have different skin types. Just as the warm compresses works for you, ice works for me.
Her skin PEELED OFF😳😲😳😲 Lord! I'm so glad I don't have a Tik Tok account.
Rubbing iced cucumber on your face vs Leaving it on your face and falling asleep..... hardly the same thing, i don't think anyone would agree ice on your face and falling asleep is a good idea :p
I find that when I go to cold country - my face feels better n less pimples
The plastic from the front tyre flip pallet truck 😂
What about pure aloe vera scraping it directly from the inside and freeze it in an icing holder? Because aloe vera products, such as cream, are fake and don't contain pure aloe.
For me the acne went away from the icing. She wants money for the dermatologist chemical bullshit things lol
got an ice burn because of that ice, it leads to turn my face red, itchy, and swollen.
Lmao , she just says goto a doctor
Which is good iceing face or dipping face on on ice water
Help I used ice on my face today and my face is really red and puffy now it really burns. What should I do!!!?
Thank u dr. And thank u healthline for this💗
All I see is a dermatologist who watch UA-cam videos observed and critiqued people applying ice to their face. Unfortunately, I didn't find it informative or educational in any way. From my perspective, this video is pointless and a waste of time. I give this video a thumbs down.👎
I have been taking cold shower everyday. can that help icing my face butter.
Great video! Guys watch the entire video
This no certified dermatologist 😂😂
if im going to the doctor i better have cancer or something, im not paying to go to the doctor for acne
the more i see she just wants people to come to her and get appointment
what do you mean by that?? I've been icing my face since i was 9😂
Shut up doctor!! It has actual worked
Let it be

It just seems like you’re trying to be negative, talking about her drowning herself, mam how is that even possible. From beginning to end you your video pissed me off. Even chemical products have side effects and problems when used wrong !
