I use my theories for indoor bouldering and they are excellent! The edge on the front combined with the no-edge on the side works really well. It allows me to use my foot in unique ways that I couldn't before.
I got mine a week ago, waited for a while to get them imported but these shoes are amazing, I am using them on Steep High Walls so they're not just great for bouldering.
I have a pair of the Theory and use them exclusively on highwall, climbed outdoors 2 days ago on a technical overhangy route and they were amazing, even though I reverted back to my Miuras which I do still believe is the superior shoe. Getting a 2nd pair soon so I can dedicate my current pair to bouldering
Cool video. I bought the shoe online just before the quarantine started. I've been breaking it in in the flat for quite some time now just wearing it, can't wait to finally try it out in the gym. Coming from the Futura (which is completely no edge) I'm curious how the edge will work for me. But I already love the more robust heel as well as the huge toe patch.
Well the Python is known for being quite soft right, like in the range of Skwamas, also both don't have a midsole. The Solution Comp is softer than the normal Solution but still has a midsole and is stiffer than the Skwama and therefore should be stiffer than the Python.
It looks like there will not much breathing in this shoes, too much rubber on the outside. Maybe on cold conditions not bad but indoors in my opinion you will sweat a lot.
Given it’s a performance shoe, I doubt they put much consideration into making it something you can wear for a while. Breathability wouldn’t be much of an issue if you take it off between problems, which is often (not always) the case for performance shoes
Id love to see them come in colours other then "Dehydrated Piss Yellow".. I get it, Thats the brands colours but yellow has got to be the ugliest colour in the spectrum haha..
I’d only buy it for the heel. The heel on the Skwama is just too baggy for me. Currently my best fitting shoe is the Mad Rock Shark, but it’s not a very soft shoe tbh.
I couldnt understand shit of the LaSportiva representative. He sucks in providing information. The way he explained things made me not buy Theory over Solutions Comp
The argument here is that climbing outside (and similar activities such as hiking in the mountains) produces injuries and injuries are a burden for busy medical personnel.
Fritz Box 99.9% of all hospitals in America are no where near overrun with anything. There’s a handful that got close to capacity in New York and that’s it. Hospitals outside of Chattanooga, TN are just fine.
Karim Chahine Being outside getting vitamin D and exercising is what makes and keeps you healthy which is why people with no underlying health conditions are almost all asymptomatic.
@@zraybroske2416 Yeah maybe, just telling you what the statement is about. For example the DAV (german alpine club) told it's members to not go into the mountains for the reasons above. Edit: epictv is located in the french alps. i guess the french club said something similar.

How much did you downsized on these?
Same sizing as skwamas
@@BurlyBaboon Ok, thanks man!
Looks like it’s very hard to re-sole.
2:42 did he Just slip away?
Saw the women’s version of these last weekend and boy are they incredible for incredible climbing. It’s like climbing in all rubber socks

Definitely thought that was Joké in the intro
Kieran Lawrence hahaha Same here

2:43 they slipped! So no, thanks... just kidding :)
actually, i was thinking the same, and the poor cutting choice didnt do la sportiva a favor here Lol
I saw that too! Why would they leave that in there?!
I wonder why they didn't compare it to the Futura, especially in terms of softness and using No-Edge tech...
Matt has stopped folding his shirts
People actually fold their shirts?
TheRandomSpectator I do
More like he didn’t iron his shirt

What size did you go for? Same as futura?
Curious of the sizing of these as well. The heel looks great vs the bulb of the skwamas. Interesting to see how it breaks in tho with all that rubber
@@ianwyatt6138 I've got street shoe size 45/44.5. Futuras I go for 39.5 or 40, Theory I have in 41, but will buy 40.5 next time.

ordered mine and they arrived on the day quarantine started in the netherlands :(

Très bonne vidéo, comme d'habitude ;-)
I want to hear about those new Skwamas
They turned out to be amazing shoes
Are these good for sport climbing on rock?
That moment when the "everything else season" is the "covid19 stay at home" season ... ☹️
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's 10+ bouldering videos to every sport climbing video. Why?? Give us sport climbers some love too!
TheRandomSpectator bouldering is the easiest to get into, companies want to target the biggest base of people
Nice one! What the sizing and fit look like? 1 size down or as old-school 2-3? cheers
I went 2 sizes down and it was way too tight.

Why for indore?

I dunno I like yellow as a colour, definitely much better than brown and white imo
Yeah, I buy 5.10 Adidas shoes just because of the way they look. Climbing shoes are ugly.
Looks like every owner of these will still develop Sportiva toe...
