Although the LS800 is brighter, it lacks in many other specs. The awol 3500 seems to be the best option after all my research, so I just got mine on order with the Black Friday sale

Been watching your reviews and really appreciate it! I ended up ordering the Formovie. It was between this and AWOL , but felt like the Formovie has great praise. New to projectors in general fingers crossed I made right decision. Thanks bro!
So far so good! I am still setting up where its going, but just off the wall (regular wall) it is great! Getting a screen but need to finish set up to figure out the size. Very happy and glad I didn’t spend $6k.
I think its good to show hkw an external device can be connected directly to formovie theatre, i am having hard time to connect apple tv to its HDMI and also connecting my sony ht-a9.
Would it be possible if you can post a detailed calibration settings for Formovie. This projector is a pain setting it up if you don’t have the right equipment. Since the default settings leave a lot to be desired to get the most out of it. This is an important thing.Pls do this for this. Also do your external drives run on this as mine don’t.
I been waiting for your take on this one. For what I've seen it seems to be the top of what we can call a budget laser projector. The AWOL looks awsome and probably netter than anything I've seen but its twice the price.
Just purchased an Epson LS800 to replace my LS500. While the 500 has been great, the LS800 appears to be an upgrade in all respects. I simply can't deal with the rainbow from any other projectors.
Your review was very helpful. You mentioned it didn't perform very well under day use, but was the screen ALR? Also, did you think your review of the Samsun Premiere did better under daylight?
Yes Same Question, Waiting for this response. How did it perform during day with windows open using ALR Screen ? Curious to know. Thanks @ChrisMajestic
It seems as of 7/10/23 the prices have fallen for the hisense px1-pro as I have seen it as low as $1700, but the formovie is still at $3499. Is it worth the premium or is the hisense the better choice now with the updated price tag?
Been thinking about jumping on to the Ust projector bandwagon too but how does the contrast on this compare to an epson 5050ub? Will it have better picture quality then a 5050ub?
Great review! Many thanks for doing that How do you compare it with VAVA Chroma new software update of a couple fo weeks ago? I have heard there was quite impressive jump and I was wondering if now they are on the same level without any ghosting and red shift in VAVA.
@Chris Yes, I am also waiting for the answer for the above, with the BF deal from VAVA at 2299$ and with D capability. Can you please help on this how they compare?

Hi, have you encountered problems regarding fan error? Mine says "Fan error. Projector will automatically turn off on 5 seconds so as to protect itself". Any idea how to rectify?
Hi Chris, I just went to test both the Hisense L9G and the ForMovie. Formovie image is indeed more contrastly but Hisense is brighter. Hisense seems also to be sharper and more '3D'.. a bit soap opera feel? Formovie seems to be smoother and image looks more smoothing... but the set and the remote seems cheap... rather cheap.. Im running in a delicated dark room. Really can't decide. If budget is not an issue, what will u install ?
I run the L9G in my living room still. It is indeed significantly brighter. If you plan on using it in a dedicated theater room you might be better off with the Formovie. The extra brightness isn’t necessary. The Hisense is a bit sharper though. The biggest downside to the Hisense is the fixed focus so you’re stuck with one screen size.
@Chris Majestic I remembered that your comparison video of the Hisense L9G and the Samsung... the Hisense L9G IRE level was 25 i think (without the ambience sensor turned on), the samsung was 17? What's the IRE of the ForMovie? Apologies for the many questions.
@Chris Majestic thanks for your response Chris! Sounds like the LSP9T would be best when it comes to picture quality overall?
