Jenna Koss - My primary is a CZ75 compact, with two spare magazines. I carry a North American Arms mini-revolver as a hide out. But am always looking for reliable, quality firearms.
I get alot of funny looks when i show up to training with my CPX-2 or -3... And i get EVEN MORE funny looks when everyone else with their berettas and kimbers have an FTF or FTE where my SCCY just keeps popping along.
Absolutely!... Those gun snobs get butt hurt when they see a $200 gun out preform their high dollar pistol. SCCY is a well built value option! Made in America 🇺🇸
Love the fact you keep ot simple and short .didn't take up much time and I now wanna invest more time watching more of your videos.thabks for the video
Love mine, I have a 1 and a 2, they ergonomically fall into point in my hand. The CPX-1 is my EDC, at 45 feet from a draw, I can safety release and mag dump with an on target 5 inch grouping, the 2 flyers pushing the grouping of 3 to the 5 inch spread. Knock on wood I have had no issues with any of them other than one the mag won't drop clear, but it is new also.
The one thing it won’t do is “Stage” like a revolver. Once mastered you can shoot it as well double action as single. My Smith 642 is like that. Once broken in it shoots like a dream. Pull the slop out till you feel and hear the tiny click then it’s ready to launch . Too bad you can’t do that with This gun .
I obviously like to use revolvers, but the LCP is one of the few semi-automatic pistols I carry from time to time, feels natural to me. I have been debating getting a small 9mm to compare to .38+P in snubbies, the SCCY may be the way to go.
That is one of the the two guns I most often carry. Especially when out on my bicycle. The other one is a 3in stainless Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum. So the first functions like a revolver and the second is a revolver. I have other guns as well. But typically I am carrying one of these two.
I've had mine since October and have almost a thousand rounds through it. It's never ftf, jam, misfire, or anything. It's been by far the best firearm I've owned so far.
I carry the original gun the SCCY CPX-2 was "I think" modeled after ---- The Kel-Tec PF-9. It is the granddaddy to all the SCCY's and it works just fine for me for years.
It's the Kel-Tec P11, and I too carry one of the very first ones, still working fine, and more accurate that I am! It has never failed except with cheapo after-market magazines; otherwise flawless, and the trigger still getting better with age. Since it is double-action only it is utterly safe to carry. Kel-Tec never patented it, so both Ruger and SCCY copied the design with their own slight modifications. If it ever does die, I'll get a SCCY!...…………………………...elsullo
@@elsullo2 I polished the barrel and slide assembly on my p11. Made it even better. Never had any issues with it but I always get the mec gar mags. They are good and reliable. I have a 10rd., two 12rd., two 15rd., and one 20 rd. mags and they all work perfectly.
I'm thinking of picking up a second one. If I should be in a position to use it it will wind up as evidence in whatever investigation there is. In the meantime I'm only out a relatively small amount of money. I will go home and pick up my other one. Also I have discovered that my cpx-2 is pretty damn accurate for such a short barrel.
The warranty will actually send you a new one of you don't get it back in a self defense situation. Also, if it's ever stolen, they will send you another.
Jeffrey Barlow people were abusing the lost or stolen policy buying them selling them reporting them stolen sending in a police report for a free gun, I dont blame them for dropping the policy they still have a great warranty.
Bought mine 4 or 5 years ago for 200$ sold it this year for 200$ I shot it quite a bit basically beat the shit out of it and never so much as a hiccup.
You mean your frame pins didn't walk out every time you went to the range? Lol mine's sort of a bolt action with all the failures to go fully into battery you gotta give it a good smack to the slide
Love my SCCY, a couple feed fails the 1st hundred or so rounds to break in, shoots like a dream after 1500 or so and had to replace the ejector and the full pull striker fired makes up its own safety.
My wife owns the cpx2 Rd. It's had a few ftf but never seen the pins move out. It honestly looks like they've got it filled with some epoxy or something to help hold it in place. It doesn't have too many rounds through it. Still in the process of breaking it in.
I purchased my sccy about a year ago and Kevin I watched all of the kill videos of this gun no doubt reliable I was trying to find some training on how to counteract the long trigger pull I would like it if you could do a video on training through the long trigger pull on the sccy specifically I'm not very accurate with this weapon unlike several other Pistols that I own unless I pulled the trigger halfway and then squeeze off a shot but we both know that that's not going to be what you're able to do in a deadly force incedent for that reason i carry my m&p shield and that only any help would b appreciated
Jeremy Piazza you might try thinking of “pressing” the trigger instead of “squeezing” it. You may be surprised at the difference it makes. Your muscles respond differently to the change in mental input... generally much more accurate. 😉
Really like this. My EDC, but had to train to keep my thumb from activating the magazine release as well as get used to the trigger. I'm 6'6" so got some big ole hands but feel comfy with this and continue to train. Can usually do a 4-5" group on my first magazine. Had a few FTF in the break in period. Just clean and oil every tiny nook and keep training.
I compared the SCCY to the Glock 43, Kimber Solo, and the Sig P365. I bought the Solo first. Then got the P365 due to the larger capacity. I have shot all 4 pistols and prefer the Sig overall. I've been using Glocks for over 25 years as well as 1911's and 2011's. Great video and very informative. I need to add the SCCY pistol to our website.
I've only seen one at my local gun shop and it looked a little cheap as far as fit and finish. Not saying its a bad gun, you seem to like it and thats what's matters. I like the glock 43
Guess I am going to break the piggy bank open, and see if it has $250 dollars in it.
Cry Havoc it's a good gun but I'd save your money if you have a reliable edc gun already.

Why not?

it's basically a 10 shot 38 special snubby, effectively limited to 125 grain bullets tho....

It's my "one gun" because my "one other gun" is just too damn big to conceal comfortably.
I love my sccy
I own one and I agree with you, it's a great gun. Never saw it as a revolver trigger but I see it now. Great video.
We're glad you enjoyed this, Alejandro!
How long have you had yours?

It's definitely worth giving it a try, Gun Sam!

Is it your EDC gun, Jeffrey?
@@USCCAOfficial yes it is. It's great. I carry it with my alien gear tuck 2.0 holster. I forget I have it sometimes. It's perfect for EDC

Jeffrey Barlow you're right about them sending you another one if you ever use it in a defensive situation but the lost or stolen policy is no more.
Well that sucks. Thanks for the info. Didn't know that part changed
How long have you had them, Alan?

stoned serpent they send you tapered pins

Thank you for your feedback, Jeremy. We'll definitely pass this along to our content team!
There are after market hammer kits that reduce it close to 50%, but they say only use premium ammo after it's installed

Need it to run first time every time. I'd pay more than the $250 for that or get a surplus Makarov for the same price
I wouldn't buy a SCCY.
