    Mad Mike needs to be a regular feature.

    David, it never ceases to amaze me when you react to a relatively rust free vehicle.. it's like Xmas morning for you. I suspect most of us in this great nation are the opposite and are genuinely surprised when a modern vehicle has any rust at all.

      Anyone from the Midwest or the Northeast will expect anything more than 20 years old to be at least a little rusty. Long, snowy winters with the roads covered in salt, gravel roads, body panels that trap moisture and dirt and stuff, worn paint, and more combine to ruin cars here.

    I had a 99 Yukon 4x4 with all the features and 33's on some nice mag wheels from 07-09. It was awesome. Got married, got broke, gas got high and I sold it. I was a dumb kid, everybody regrets selling one car and that one was mine all these years later.

    The seat squeaking and then Mad Mike opening and closing the door while driving cracked me up quickly followed by the "race."

    That "bird" is the GM squeak. My grandfather had multiple suburbans over the years, and every one made that noise from when they were brand new to years old.

    It would be awesome if you included the trade in value to these videos.

    How it got to Galpin is a miracle! Owner probably decided it's time for a new ride

    I advised against your moving from Detroit, as you’d be far from Coney Islands, Faygo and Vernors. I didn’t realize you’d be able to buy corn on the cob from a street vendor. Obviously, that trumps everything! Enjoy, David.

    We have a 1998 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup that my wife bought new. It has almost 170k miles and runs well - I would not consider it a beater vehicle. I appreciate its simplicity compared to my e46 BMW and TDI VW wagon.

    I have questions. One of the questions is: If that thing is a trade-in, how much money was it traded in for??

    • @rushnerd
      @rushnerd 6 місяців тому

      Probably next to nothing so the owner just gets it off their hands.
      But to be fair, I assume that's how ANY trade-in, just throwing your money away.
