Over the past 25 years the GMC Denali nameplate has become one of GMs most successful sub brands, and it all started with the introduction of the GMT400 based Yukon Denali for the 1999 model year. To help differentiate GMC from Chevrolet, the Denali was launched alongside an upscale version of the GMC Jimmy called the GMC Envoy. In 2001 the second generation Yukon Denali would be introduced, now offering a long wheelbase body style. An upscale Sierra 1500 would also be offered in an extended cab body style, but would be badge the Sierra C3. for 2002 the C3 would be rebadged as the Sierra Denali, which was identical to the C3 other than having standard Quadrasteer rear wheel steering. Over the following years the Denali treatment would become available on all models except for the Savana van.
I still have mine. It looks exactly like this one, and it's a 1999 model. I regularly wax it, and take great care of it. I keep it in the garage, and ONLY pull it out on nice sunny days. I love it. It's been a part of my family since 2003. I was given it when I got my license at 17 years old. I'm about to be 27 this year. I plan to keep it for many more years to come
I have a 1999 model but black, mine looks like shit and has been in multiple corn fields and hit many trash cans. I take great care of mine as well
I have a black one and I love it I recently bought a 2015 Yukon Denali and I’m keeping the 99 in the garage you don’t see many of these on the road so I’m holding onto it
@jamesmcfayden9778 yep, they're very rare nowadays. Most times, the oldest ones I see on the road now are the 2001-2006 generation models, and even those are starting to become more rare too. I definitely keep my 99 garage kept

My neighbor bought one new back in the day when I was just a young boy. He also had a late 80s Nissan pickup. Both very rare finds on the roads today. I’m now trying to keep my 96 suburban on the road. Love the gmt 400 and 800 trucks.
Both 1st gen Escalade and Denali are still my favorite , definitely timeless time capsule 😎

beautiful car. i have the escalade 2000 its the exact same car but terrible condition. you can very easily fix that beautiful leather with a very light wet sandpaper 5000 grit will make it better than new. I am SHOCKED you are missing the rear deck lid? or its just not installed? along with the cargo net. i also do not have these but they are shown in the manual and easy to get. most 2023 models do not look this prestine, well done. it is beautiful, and a beautiful color.
