Just purchased a Camaro and replaced one of the valve covers (one on drivers side that has oil inlet/cap). For how much I paid, if I knew that having to now replace the front timing chain cover gasket that I shouldve just had this done while replacing the valve cover. Thanks for the informative video :)
I just changed my crankshaft, rod bearings, oil pump and timing chains and my engine is at 10 psi oil pressure which is the minimum. Any idea why it’s so low? It’s a 2010 Camaro 3.6
hey man im having a problem with my 2010 v6 LLT camaro i just got the timing chain replaced and my cars been running fine for two days since i got it back then just today i noticed my car starts to jerk/bogg out... when im at a stop light and i want to accelerate hard it boggs out and it wants to die but it doesnt die ... theres no CEL on so do you think my coil packs are bad or spark plugs i really need help with this!! thanks
Man, I hate to guess or tell u wrong. It could be a lot of things .. I would take it back to the mechanic that did the chain for starters ya know? Does it drive good at hi way speeds
Hayes Mobile Auto Repair it drives great at hi speeds yes but i notice actually driving it earlier IT ONLY BOGS WHEN I HIT A BUMP ON THE STREETS OR WHEN THE CAR HITS A POT HOLE so i heard around it can be my motor mounts but would motor mounts cause my engine to lag out like that? idk ahah
Sounds like u have a loose connection somewhere .. recheck all sensors, wires grounds and wiring harness ... unplug and plug back in all sensors u removed...check those ground wire on the passenger side near the valve cover for tightness! Good luck.
