if you where good enough in guitar you wouldn't need a base line for those tipes of songs
@@Letsgetrich730 *were, *bass line, and *types
@@Letsgetrich730if you were good at spelling, maybe your “insult” would make sense
Bass getting the credit it deserves for once
He doesn’t even play the same thing in both clips Bass isn’t a bad instrument but you shouldn’t overrate it
@@Elias-qj7dqI'm not trying to overrate it but bass usually is ignored and its role is not appreciated. I didn't notice he played something different though 😅, thanks.
@@slappbassnowlmao he didnt even play bass in the first clip, it was just guitar
@@stefanos7724 Oh 💀
@@stefanos7724while ofc I noticed he played different things, It is true that bass doesn’t get enough credit. Bassists definitely are underrated. They must have amazing sense time. If the bassist is off groove it’s very noticeable and throws it off. And the bass states the chord without having to play the whole chord leaving room for the guitar. I’m a guitar player btw that just reallly appreciates the bass player
I like how the "bass" line was played by the guitar

Thats not a guitar dude
@@rishitachebrolu9904there is no bass guitar in the audio
@@rishitachebrolu9904it is a guitar. do you even play it?
@@insertusersname8277how did bro say that isnt a guitar 💀
If a band is a sandwich, bass is the bread.
Hmm i disagree
Drums is the bread the bass is the toothpick and sauce
Toothpick because it holds the sandwitch together and seasoning because it makes the flavour without screaming it
@@sapphicquartz I won't disagree with that, but you can have a sandwich without a toothpick or sauce.....
@@AmerigoDaVinci @leeamallan that is true! Toothpicks arent always neccisary and are more usefull in some situations,
But also a sandwitch tastes kind of bland and lacks an oumph without sauce
I think i might be going too deep with this lmao
@@sapphicquartzthe sauce analogy is perfect. Without it in a sandwich its dry and bland. Without bass the song is missing that sauce
I'd say drums is one side of the bread and the bass the other
Guy forgot about his low E string the second time around
He only uses the Low E string to imitate the bass line, it’s to demonstrate that the actual guitar in most music genres is really just the first four strings
@@juanescobar6086He isn't even playing the same thing at all
@@juanescobar6086so by your words regular 4 string bass is just a broken guitar with an electrical tunning octave lower?
Stupid

I hate how people believe he's playing the same thing both times
So many of these comments make no sense idk what people thought I meant.
Ikr he’s playing 2 entirely different things the bass didn’t make anything sound good
there isnt even any bass in the first track
It's a skit.
@@Riz_Rizenyeah but like it’s a joke sure and like that’s valid but like, it’s a bad skit then if it doesn’t actually make sense right? It’s a skit sure, but it could’ve been done better would you agree?
@@Riz_RizenJust because it's a skit doesn't mean it has to be done badly. That detail honestly ruins the point of the short
My guy played a complete different thing the second time 💀💀
He technically didn’t because the low parts were “bass” and the high parts were guitar so when it got to the guitar he only played the guitar part
Yesh and some so called wise people think that it sounds that awfull without bass 💀
Son, that’s called the E string
The bass line behind a great riff is the base for all sound
Ok, bass is important, but at least play the same thing even the dencod time 😢
Whooosh
Yes
@@ohmanilovemyguitarwhat? That’s not how it works, don’t ever do that again
Yessir as a bassist I agree
fun fact there is no bass in the first track
Yeah it's pretty surprising that you're the only one I've seen to point that out. Both clips are just guitar.
@@exscapeyeah, kind of weird. Btw maybe people are here just for the Bass kind of memes
My favourite part is the last 4 single notes where you played the Indonesian Folk music.
I thought of Brazilian pagode
Had to pull the phone up close to my ear to hear the bass 😂
Man just won a shower argument
fr bro is arguing with ghosts rn
*plays guitar with no bass both times*
"see?😌"
“You always play some weird cord and I make it sound ok”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bass relies on drum
Guitar relies on bass
Sing relies on guitar
Drum relies on all of em 😅
Man forgot he had a low e string when the bass stopped playing
Haha epic! I only started learning how to play the guitar 6 weeks ago & I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so this was super motivational!
Ah yes this same video format for the thousandth time
Plays entirely different the second time without the bass okay
Thanks bro....your the first guitarist I've seen recognising a bassist
"Okay play it without bass"
*proceeds to make an entirely different chord shape on a different part of the neck*
(It’s a joke)
@@NotVanHalen9090a bad one.
@@crispybacon4240it’s really not. having to have it explained to you like this guy and possibly even you just ruins it though.

"No Bass"
As a guitarist I can say a good bass player is worth their weight on gold. I play a lot of open strings in my riffs. I really was a big Mark Tremonti fan growing up. So using the open strings allows me to navigate without making everything so busy. It allows for a good bass player to really add cool fills and sounds much more dynamic as a whole.
😮 I'm about to cry rn 😢 my profile pic can explain
This constantly playing in bass players' head during rehearsals
Bro is 70 IQ
As a fingerstyle player this isnt a problem for me 😂
As a multi instrumentalist, I can confirm bass players are very important.
(Don't worry, sometimes you gotta take out the bass to hear it)
"that's that sound i was talking about" is peak comedy
bass players deserve more credit love you guys
bass player - ok, play it without me
guitar player - plays something totally different
"that's the noise i was talking about" got me good 🤣
It might not even consciously register with people, but without the bass, everything sounds thin and missing something. Everything is important, but the bass is like compression on a recording. It glues everything together. In some genres it’s really important. Imagine what hip hop would sound like with out the 808.
You’re lying
My brother plays bass, it wasn’t until we started jamming together that I realized what the bass brings 🙌
That's a 7th chord.
So yes. That does sound like a chord.
that tritone in it gives it da funk
Bass players don't know how to chord. Stop with these numbers what's that suppose to be a fret? /sarkasm
that's actually an interval
yes and also a chord like minor 7th or major 7th or half diminished 7th@@annalapanda7676
please make an amazing album with that hat and background when you did the close up as the album cover PLEASE bruh 🙏🏽

@@Norego.Newzealand Davie504 would disagree with you naga
Bass players getting wet at this and here I watched it and saw proof the top string of a guitar does the same job as 90% of bassists
As a bass player, no the E string on a guitar will not do 90% of bass, but yes, this video is embarrassing for almost all bass players and there was no bass in the first track and yes that was all E on the guitar
no? the videos stupid but this is cap
bro has made this video 100 times
Sounds like the bass within a guitar is enough to replace the bass player completely😂 worked for The Doors
« You always play some weird chord » I felt that as if he was speaking to me
The bass is the supporting instrumemt that pulls a band together.
Never taking the forefront never taking the attention but the band would fall apart without them
Say that to Les Claypool
Ever listened to Teen Town?
They’re are plenty of bands that contain no bass in them, plus I don’t understand this argument, a bass, is typically an instrument with 4 strings that have lower sounding notes to give a fuller sound.
There’s layers to a good track, and bass is such a fundamental but often under appreciated part of a good track. It’s nice to see bass players getting the props they deserve. (Ps, I’m a metal guitarist. I just want to show my bass playing brothers and sisters some love. Ya’ll are appreciated. ❤️)
At the end of the day we’re all contributing to music, the instruments we play all have roles to fill, musicians understand this basic concept. So don’t call yourselves guitarists, bassists, violinists, pianists, call yourselves musicians. The only way calling yourself something based on the instrument you play is if you’re getting taught, asking a instrument specific question, or talking amongst others whom play the same instrument. Beyond that, it’s fair to call people beginner, intermediate, and advanced musicians, then after that are the pros.
As a guitarist and singer i wouldn't be anything without bass shoutout to every bass player i love you
The sombrero kills me for whatever reason hahaha
bass has always been my favorite part of songs.
(my favorite band, Have a Nice Life, is very bass heavy on some songs)
"It's that noise I was talking about."
As a guitarist I feel both attacked and seen.
I didnt realize how much bass adds to a song until i started playing beatles songs and noticed how wierd harrison sounds isolated
I like that you didnt play the bass at all, and butchered the guitar part for the "without bass" section
It really made your point valid
How don't you hear that, are you deaf?
Ive been commenting on Robert Jakob videos since they only had 50 views 🙏💯
Congratulations 🎊 on your return to my algorithm with your even bigger success!!!🎉
thank you!
the fact how the bass guitar isnt even played in the first one
As a guitarist I feel personally attacked
As a bass player i feel embarrassed.
@@necroleissame 😐
that's a tritone
could work as a dominant chord it's kinda funky too tbh
Can you for once show the bass by itself? I noticed you’ve never done that and it’s really hard for me to pick out the bass line
There is no bass line
I’ve never heard a song with only a bass, but I have heard many with just a guitar.
Yesssss..ty for the acknowledgement brother
"Thats that noise I was talking about" 😂😂😂
Drummers:
"It still sounds like it is missing something"
This guy was playing different strings on the guitar and expects it to sound the same 😂
i try to go for single note things with some chord arrangements. great videos!
my dude was complaining about his own noise. hahaha thats my favourite part of this video. but it all is SO good. well done man.
I swear I thought he said let's play something fucky and almost died.
This is why I enjoy Lovejoy’s music they really let the bass shine through and get credit.
Guitar makes bass sound good, bass makes guitar sound good
If a band is a house, the base is, well, the base, or foundation of the house which supports every other instruments.
“That’s that noise I was talking about” brooo 😂😭💀
Bass is an instrument you don’t necessarily hear, but you absolutely hear the absense of
There have been PLENTY of bands with no bass player…
Oh i don't know that.
Now i really love all bassist.
I've been watching this for 4 Times and i finally understand it
"That's that noise I was talking about"
Hears in distance “slap bass”
Bass has that power
Enter ...And Justice For All
Bro thought we wouldn’t realise it was a different LiTtLe SoNg
i promise you not all guitar players are like that, I myself play guitar and bass, and find that both need each other to thrive
"U dont hear bass until u dont hear them"
"That's the noise I was talking about."
Lol😂
A guitar has both bass and treble... Guitars sound good without a bass, but bands don't sound good without a drummer.
I am a young bass player and I love when bass gets recognized.
"That's that noise I was talking about 😭" 😂😂😂😂
that opening bit gave me fungus amongus vibes
He should've said "music sounds better with you"
“I wanna take you for a ride” sounds like the riff from Marvel Vs Capcom 2 character selection screen!
Instruments sound good together
Meanwhile actual base line there: *played on guitar*
Remember : bass and drums are the vertebral column of a band
That noise is what makes it sound good
NOW YOU KNOW!!! As a Bassist I am perfectly satisfied X)
say it... out loud say it... a vampire-
He played it on the guitar the first time
I was getting ready for the South Park theme to start
Nobody:
Davie504: CHECKMATE, guitarists.
That's the noise i was talking about 😂❤️
Bro forgot about the other four strings on the guitar
Guitar rhythm may be the body, but the bass is what gives it life.
