This disease gave me lot of problems like lack of concentration, depression ,heavy periods, hair fall..
I think medication and proper counseling both plays an equal role.

Hello. Im asking for some answers. Basically I’ve done my blood work for TSH few weeks ago and TSH was just near the normal level (mine was 5,4 and normal lvl is 5,5). But then, a week after i was getting my female hormones done while on my period and my doctor said that my TSH was way too high ( got up to 7,7 in just a week) and said i have hypothyroidism. When I got to my other doctor she said that my TSH hormones just change rapidly and that everything is “okay”. So is it normal that TSH levels are higher during period ? And what should i do?

TSH 5.01 is borderline. It needs frequent monitoring and decision to start a medication depends on various other factors too.

@su, docs said the same to me. But then i started taking homeopathic medicine along with allopathic and it works. Homeopathic medicine dsnt have side effects but with this go for daily walk nd do exercise.

I also had frequent periods then I had a thyroid test and it showed my thyroid level was 7.1. Then I started taking the medicine. I tested it this month. My level is 1.25 now But mam, I have been taking the medicine for 45 days, my thyroid level is normal now, but I haven't had a period since I took the medicine. *No sister no need to worry about it*
*Spotting during or around ovulation or ovulatory phase is because at that time LH is about to go at its Peak so as to reduce or eliminate any fluid from uterus ....the Myometrium wall put pressure on it for sometime so that any remaining fluid can come out*
*So if after ovulation... fertilization is done...a thick new walled uterus can be prepared for it* 😊😊😊

You can definitely conceive. Please make sure, your thyroid is under control before you try for pregnancy and follow the advice of your doctor .

Madam my teacher taught me that hypothyroidism can cause elevation of TSH and TRH. TRH can also cause increase in the level of Prolactin which will inhibit Gnrh secretion and thus account for secondary amenorrhoea.☺️
