You're correct about the Vincent Price/Peter Cushing thing re: Nicolas Cage. Richard Stanley said much the same about Cage when he was promoting COLOR OUT OF SPACE. Cage isn't a bad actor either, but rather an actor taking his cues from an era of Hollywood that embraced a hammier style of acting. You're spot on CHH!
My grandma loved 80s wrestling and eapecially loved the Von Erichs. I loves the 90s wrestling. Stone Cold, The Rock, d-generation X, etc. But the 80s wrestling was wild. Many wrestlers lives were destroyed because of the life of that snd steroids, drugs and partying. I do watch The Dark Side of Wrestling and the one with Plane ride from Hell was Wiiiiilllld. I will be watching the Vince doc later this week. Great podcast you guys! Thanks for still doing it.
Christian's absoultely right, I don't have a social media addiction BUT it is where I promote my stuff and where all my long distance friends are. And because of that, I am on it a lot but when I'm not on it, I do feel better. Not everything is perfect but the negativaty the internet thrives on isn't really present in the real world. At least in some sense. And Nick, I believe Emily was born into Scientology, which is already extremely difficult to get out of, especially being born into it. But she doesn't seem to believe in it and even if she does, that's her own beliefs. I like her and think shes a great singer and I'm excited for the new album
I agree with you both so much with regards to social media. I have the same problem with instagram and doom scrolling. I do agree that the internet is toxic. I have been trying to stay off it a bit more than I used to. I got attacked for defending Emily Armstrong from Linkin Park and I got ripped into. People just want to start fights and like you all said make everyone else miserable.

I wish I could stop watching trailers. Unfortunately if I stopped watching trailers I’d miss out on the marketing. Like for SAW X at the end of the trailer you can call and text that number. It was so cool and so much fun getting little puzzle pieces before the movie came out. I have to watch trailers so I don’t miss out on the hype surrounding the movies release. But walking in completely blind is the way to do it though just don’t have it in me to do that. I would miss out on all the promotionals and marketing stuff.
I immediately pulled up eBay as you did for the Mtn Dew Pitch Black 12 pack and bought one. Halloween season just isn't the same without it and it's BS it's discontinued. Literally 10 or so years ago they held a battle between Pitch Black and Baja Blast to see what the fans wanted to become a permanent flavor on store shelves, and I swear to you that Pitch Black won. It WON, and it got discontinued about a year later. Yet they keep bringing Baja out year after year... It's fucking horse shit. Now what I really want to know is .. where the FUCK is Supernova. It's my favorite of all time and I haven't had any since 2011. Pepsi SUCKS. Great episode guys 🤘
Yeah I think Scientology is weird but people are free to believe whatever they want. I can remove the art from the artist and she has a great voice. Linkin Park is back but it is irritating that it has a negative connotation to it. The internet dwells and hates a lot. I went to Fright Fest for the new SAW 20th anniversary maze and people were so hard on the maze but I went through it and loved it. People really are critics and really hard on things. I think if you go into something looking for flaws you will always find them. Like Linkin Park people just were looking for a reason to hate. If it wasn’t Scientology it would have been something else.
I think we're starting to see cracks in the IP thing. People are saying otherwise because Wolverine/Deadpool did well. But you're also not talking about movies that did well like CUCKOO. yes, smaller but they made a profit given the smaller budgets they worked with.
@@j.g.michael3229 Cuckoo made less than its budget at the BO, though. But it is true that a lot of smaller movies have done well recently, absolutely. Especially relative to their budgets. But if you’re looking for that billion dollar golden goose, it’s almost always established IP. And that’s what all these studios are chasing
People are a bunch of hippacrates and are very miserable in their life. I have friends who love Morgan Wallen. He has two huge shows here in Knoxville this weekend and they are going. I was like didn’t he say the “N word” recently? They are like yea, but he was drunk, blah blah. BUT these same friends want to cancel someone they don’t like because he said the “N word”. I’m like so if you like the person and the say something bad, it’s ok? You give them a pass! But if you don’t like the person, you want to cancel them? Make it make sense for me.
