When I had to purchase a new washer six years ago, I shopped with the intention of getting the matching dryer. The salesperson suggested that I keep the dryer if it was still working. Well, here it is six years later and the dryer is still functioning, knock on wood. I have a small laundry closet. Im the only one who sees the washer and dryer. Makes no difference if the two match as long as they do what they are supposed to do and do it well.

Nothing wrong with a mismatched washer and dryer if it doesn't bother you! Glad your dryer's still working well.

We bought a matching pair of Speed Queen units 8 years ago, the ones that still have the working Agitator, and these units have been fantastic so far with zero issues.

As a repair technician, I certainly wouldn’t buy an LG top load washer. In my experience, they’re notorious for off-balance issues with their TrueBalance feature. This manifests as the uE or UE error code and causes the washer not to spin out the clothes. There are many causes for this failure (for which there are service bulletins recognizing this issue by the way), but the worst and most common cause is that the algorithm on the main control board fails to properly sense the basket. The solution is to replace the board, which is an expensive repair. In my opinion, this issue is the achilles heel for these LG top loaders. Otherwise, I do agree that they’re good units - yet they are in no way superior to Speed Queen!

Hey there, I don't know if you got to read my message, however I have a believe it's a Maytag cuz I thought it was a Whirlpool but it's a Maytag bravo x top loader with the clear see-through top. I have a brand new motherboard, a brand new motor and yes it does have a new belt yet it still doesn't spin out the water hard enough to get all the water out of the clothes. So I went ahead and just bought a new one I believe same brand. Mine is a little bit different though and haven't had any issues thus far. I didn't really use the other one that often and I didn't know much of cleaning so that could just be it. It could just need to be cleaned out. Who knows. I thought you only had to do that with the front loaders. This is a top loader. I'm in Florida and I hate to just scrap or throw away something that could be easily fixed or sold to someone who knows what they're doing because this is like when I got it $1,000 machine with all brand new parts. So if you know anything or interested or know of anyone interested in purchasing please let me know. Thank you and have a blessed day

I bought the TR 7 last year. A couple of weeks ago dryer stopped working. I was annoyed when I called for service and I was told next available appointment was a month away. The next day I tried the dryer again and it was working. It's an electric dryer, we did unplug it etc. Did not cancel the service appointment, thinking it might stop working again and there is a strange code on the display. LG was my second choice, hubby talked me into SQ. We shall see ... Blake your wife is right, they have to match!

Why do you chose Electrolux front loader over others? I’m asking because the Electrolux models including the 7637 do not have any access panels to regularly clean the filters. The whole machine needs to be disassembled to reach it or some can be accessed by lifting it back and awkwardly reaching through underneath. With front loaders isn’t it a requirement to clean the filters, to elongate the life of the machine and to avoid drain pump issues ? In your opinion Does this filter access matter on the Electrolux? Or is it built so differently that it doesn’t matter?

Hey Mr. Great LOL which I'm sure you are. However, the gentleman I had come out to fix my top loader. It is a Maytag bravo x I believe clear top top loader. What happened was is? It was not spinning hard enough to get all of the water out of the clothes. Now to be honest, we didn't use it that often just we didn't have to. I have so many clothes isn't that terrible? But anyway it wasn't used that much and he replaced all of these things. I'm going to name so it's got all brand new parts. It has a new motor, a new motherboard, I just have my husband check the belt because that seemed like that is what the issue would be if it's not spinning the clothes. However, the belt is on there and fine and I believe that was even replaced. It could be too tight. It's definitely not loose but everything turns on. Everything is fine it seems. However, after he replaced all these things it still had the same issue. So I went ahead and purchased a brand new one at almost $1,000. Same as the cost I paid for this one. I did get a little bit of a deal on it. However, would this being all brand new parts and belt? It just doesn't make sense why it's not working. However, I didn't do anything to like clean it out or anything like that as I didn't know better with my new one. It came with instructions of how to do this stuff and yada yada. I thought you only needed to do that with the front loaders and now I know better so it could just be that and I hate to just throw it away. So if any professional can tell me what they think it is so I can try it and fix it. Or if they're interested in purchasing it please let me know as I would greatly appreciate it as I hate to just scrap it. Even though probably just scrapping it you could get maybe a hundred bucks maybe less. I don't know I've never scrapped anything but I have a friend that does but I hate to scrap something that just got brand new parts but on it making it pretty much a brand new machine. So please get back with me if you can. You say you're the best so hope you're right and I hope that you'll have the time to get back with me and help. Maybe get this thing fixed so I can get it sold unless you're interesting in purchasing of course. However, I am in Florida

I 💯 agree the top load speed queen is by far the best. I hate all GTW models by GE.. My favorite front loader is also electrolux for many reasons the dryer has a few issues and parts are double the price compared to other brands

Interesting… I’ve been in the Appliance business my entire life. I’ve done every single job from Sales to Service… parts department, service manager, etc. etc. etc.… How anyone can say an Electrolux product is actually good is just mind-boggling to me. I think they’re the absolute worst appliances on the planet, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone…😅
At any rate… I love your channel and find it very interesting to see other peoples points of view… Have a great weekend 😅lol
I’m also in the HVAC, plumbing, and electric business… I find that across all businesses you can line up 10 HVAC technicians, 10 appliance technicians, and ask them all the same question and they were all give a completely different answer…😂…

Does a top load washing machine use more water. And is its significant more or not so much.
