Dropped this suggestion in the comments of another clip (older) try this ua-cam.com/video/5fm27zZ4psw/v-deo.html it's written by Kevin Carmody, an indigenous songwriter/singer from Australia. This version by Paul and Dan Kelly and Missy Higgins is gold. As I said in the other comment, bet you cry. Enjoying your channel.
Hey Joey: Have you done anything by the band "Rush" yet? It would be cool to check them out if not..
hi joey ..i went to see them 4 times...fantastic and different every time.i like your vids mate...from england
Maybe try White Room by Cream
Or
Baba 'Riley by The who?
So beautiful, but Clare Torry’s original version will always be #1 for me. Damn, I love Pink Floyd!
Just watched Clare's interview on UA-cam about the recording... So good. Could just imagine all the band members there and Gilmour the only one to talk to her and she gets in the booth and one times it. Epic.
As a fact here is the link ua-cam.com/video/mIW7xZSlZoM/v-deo.html
Got that right,Debi ! But still, like most, enjoy their first few albums most of all..
"See Saw" ... perfection ! ( Have that on my sight ) Keep playing the music !
100% YES!!!
Am I very mistaken to think in this version its the great Sam Brown doing the vocals?
I learned recently that music is changing. Since the heady days of Pink Floyd, studies show "timbral variety went down". This means that songs are becoming more and more the same. Also pitch content has decreased - which means that the number of chords and different melodies has gone down. Apparently, pop music today relies on more "hooks" too.
I think many of us are loving the rediscovery of classic music by Pink Floyd and others, because our brains are hungry for the depth of experience this kind of music brings to our ears, our hearts and our minds.
Very well thought out analysi, and the search for good music continues. Any suggestions ?
Very good point!!

Blame Cowell et al for today's music predicament.
A crying shame as I couldn't imagine my youth without the music I experienced and how profound it was wen I first listened to the floyd ( still as valid today as yester year)
Ffs y do u think jagger Is still filling stadiums 😂😂
Well said
From watching you..watching Floyd..It looks to me that you’re finally getting what I like to call “The Floyd Catatonic State”. The head stops bobbing, talking stops, ears take in sounds, eyes let in all those lights and your brain struggles as it assembles all that magnificence into a meaningful experience. Pink Floyd is great. Pink Floyd Live is awe inspiring. Peace out
Andrew Kinslow I would proudly smoke a spliff with our host here in a Pink Floyd concert.
...as I call it "Comfortably Numb" ;)
Amen. I couldn't have said it better myself.
I was so fortunate to see them on their Division Bell tour(sans Roger Waters, of course) and I realized you don't "see" Pink Floyd, you "experience" Pink Floyd.
Avilis Siliva me too man. I was in high school at the time and my mother and uncles were the ones who brought me. One hell of a life experience :)
I was at that very concert, the second set they played Dark Side of the Moon from start to end... It blew my mind.
You don't just listen to Pink Floyd, you feel Pink Floyd
Me too, and nothing has come close since.
Same for me, I didn't want it to end.
Pink Floyd is not just music it's an experience.
this is the only know pro-video of the Floyd doing the entire album in order - something to cherish
So I saw them live in 94. I was sixteen years old. I've seen hundreds of concerts but this one will never be topped. It was almost a religious experience. I'm so glad you've discovered Pink Floyd. They are definitely one of the top 5 greatest rock band of all time...
Same here. After Roger Waters left the band and no new records were released for 10 years i thought i would never have the possibility to see them live and then suddenly out the blue "A momentary lapse of reason" was released and world tour announced. You better believe i made sure i had tickets for it.
I was 20 and went to the concert all alone. I didn't wanted to care or look where my friends are. Just me and the PF concert! The experience was intense. I cried a lot, overwhelmed by the atmosphere, refusing to believe that this is really happening right now. This will never ever be topped!
Sadly one of the backing vocalist in this video died at age 65 earlier this year in March Claudia Fontaine Rest in peace sweetheart
She was 57.
nagaslrac OK thanks for the correction the website I looked at said 65 but after checking again you’re right it’s definitely 57
no worries, mate.
@@nagaslrac really sad to hear that.....
I was wondering what happened to her, and i am so saddened to hear this, RIP.
Sam Brown, Durga McBroom and Claudia Fontaine. All three amazing singers, and it's great they got their moment in the spotlight. Did you notice David stopped playing at the end and watched Claudia? And yes, that stage is brilliant, it's shaped like a giant eye. One of the best stage designs ever.
I saw the Aussie Pink Floyd a few years back here in the UK and Durga McBroom was part of their line up.. After her great gig solo the audience took the roof off with their appreciation. Unforgettable night.
They intentionally modeled that stage after the Hollywood Bowl......because they had played there back on one of their first U.S. tours.....and loved the acoustics. In fact they had 2 of these stages constructed for the Division Bell tour. While playing a few nights in one city.......there was another crew busy setting up the other stage in the next city. I think it was the largest convoy of big rigs in rock history.....hauling all of those giant speakers, the lasers, ALL the bells & whistles, etc. I know they even had a blimp at some point. I attended 2 of the shows in Oakland, but we didn't get the blimp. I think it was due to high winds.
I remember when they played at Ohio Stadium in 87 and 94....the Division Bell convoy was massive....that Flashlight sound system they used was crazy....before the concert started they ran the speakers through a test by making it seem a lawn mower was running over the crowd...pure stereo epicness.
+195511SM I didn't know it was modeled after the Hollywood Bowl, thanks for that info. They actually had 3 stages, leapfrogging from city to city. Damn, I envy you. I was 17 at the time, and I became a Floyd fan a year later when Pulse came out. To think that I could've been there... ugh.
@@skeetermcghee8212 did the lawnmower thing in Raleigh- Durham in 87 and outdoors in Nashville in 90. Did 3 hits of blotter from Berkeley....shhhhh , dont tell
I have been listening to this album for 35 years. I cry every time I hear this song combined with Time played first, then, go into this. It’s almost a spiritual experience. I feel this in my soul. I can see you are moved like me. I actually met the guitarist David Gilmore in 9 th grade. I skipped school and went to see him at the record store near my school. I waited in line for an hour to see the man that played those guitar solos that made me cry, think, feel and be free. He signed a bumper sticker and he seemed bored but to me, it was one of the greatest days of my life. Enjoy this whole album and many others. I want to recommend David Bowie. A song called “ STAY”. It’s from an album called Station to Station. I hope to hear it on hear soon. Have a great night
Thank Gog I'm not the only one
"The Great Gig In The Sky." What a perfect name for such a perfect song and out of this world experience. I literally felt like I was there in the clouds with all of you listening to this. Amazing! 🌈✌🏼💗
Floyd’s stage production was always legendary. I heard a rumor that they were so expensive their concerts didn’t profit much. I saw them in 1994 in an outdoor arena, it was misting out with a low cloud cover. The laser show was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. You could look up to the sky and see them dancing on the clouds!
Keep I mind, back then it only cost $20 to see a show!
I remember, in 1988, looking back to clouds about 10 miles away & seeing the lasers on them. Very thick (wide) lasers, too.
I had the same experience at the Philadelphia concert in the late 80s
Shine on You Crazy Diamond, my favorite Floyd song
love that song !
@@CrownFamilyHQ If you want to do an amazing live version of that one, check out Boston Live 1977 concert...spectacular, I've never heard anyone sound so good live
There is a live version better than the studio
Yes Gail T!, Also the Pulse version is amazing, the best one for me.
Me too!!
This chicks good but Claire T. was the best. She was awesome. Did the original in just two takes ,with no lyric just her improvisation.
Charles Tatem I believe it was like 4 am too
Did you not see the 3 different singers on this version?
And to know that she improvised this all on the spot.
Sam Brown is the best, and it's not close.
Now you NEED to watch the song RUN LIKE HELL from this same concert. . . the lasers, the lights, the smoke, the song. . .it will blow you AWAY!
Man, seeing you get lost into the song. The raw feel and emotion pulling you in without words is just something. Music goes straight to the soul
these chicks are amazing. man you have to do run like hell (live) by Floyd
Yes!
RUN LIKE HELL. talk about stage production that is everything in one song
The first singer is Sam Brown who has a decent solo career in her own right 👌
Such a shame she lost her singing voice, her voice had so much power. Check out Horse To The Water from the George Harrison Tribute Concert, she stole the show. Unfortunately all videos have been removed from youtube, but there's still an audio upload: ua-cam.com/video/q6f9jxDKZoI/v-deo.html
Pulsar77 still got a great voice, but yeah think she burnt herself out doing this tour
not this tour, she went had a couple of babies in the 90s then came back for two solo albums in 2000s, she permanently strained her singing voice in 2007 after the release of the album Of The Moment, hasn't sung since.
Yes! She was one of my favorites in the Tribute concert. Wasn't included in the CD, either.
In the early 80's David Bowie done a tour called "The Glass Spider " and was the biggest and most expensive stage set of the time
Saw that tour at vets stadium in Philly. Incredible!!!
Ed B I actually saw that in Philly!!!!!! I live in Media!
Seen this tour in Alberta Canada was fn bomb AF ma dude😎
And the most terrible concert experience I ever had...... he played zero of his great songs..... zero..... I had to sit through a Bunch of terrible songs.....
And...What's The Point?
if they ever come to your area check out either "Brit Floyd" or "The Australian Pink Floyd"
both give you a pretty good "Pink Floyd" experience.
Ate three brownies and saw the Australian Pink Floyd Experience. It was fucking EPIC. They had some serious production for a tribute show. We were all so bent had to do a Maccas run in the intermission for much needed munchies. And about four joints.
I got hooked onto Pink Floyd because my parents took me to an Aussie Pink Floyd concert, and I'm going again next month!
@@sarahkinsey5434 super jealous!
Don R Have always wanted to check out APF. I was impressed by the Jason Bonham Experience show a couple years ago. Takes one back...
KT Aussie Pink Floyd performed at David Gilmour's birthday party one year. They have been performing since 1988!
I believe the last vocalist in this performance passed away just a few weeks ago. Respect.
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Scott Howard Walk of Life is fantastic as well.
MD D money for nothing is amazing too, that build up at the start kills me everytime
the alchemy live version is breathtaking, definitely worth checking out after the album recording
Yes! This version of course! And at 2:20 the look Mark gives because Terry is fucking killing it on the drums that night! is beyond priceless.... ua-cam.com/video/8Pa9x9fZBtY/v-deo.html
And "your latest trick"
The Best Version of The Great Gig in the Sky is 1988 Live Delicate Sound of Thunder. Rachel Fury (first singer of the trio) simply kicks everybody's ass, even the original singer Clare Torry's version.
Rachel Fury does an incredible rendition. And she looks amazing. Sexiest performance ever.
When I saw the video of this song with Rachel Fury, I stared at the television and didn't move for the entire time. By the time it was over, there were tears in my eyes and it took me a while before I felt normal again. This music rocks you to your core.
Yep.... Rachel Fury check in you tube Pink Floyd live in Venice 1988
Back when I had the "Pulse" concert on VHS, I had the biggest crush on Samantha Brown (the blonde vocalist), lol. All 3 of the of the backup singers are beautiful!
Joey finish off Animals with Sheep and Pigs in the Wing (p.2), they go together. That finishes off Animals. Then you can move on to other Floyd albums.
Yes.....PLEASE! I've been coming back for 3.....or 4 days now.....looking for him to wrap that album up. 'Sheep' was always my favorite track......but now it's a toss-up between THAT one & 'Dogs'. Depends on my state of mind. LOVE the keyboards on that thing......and that guitar work near the end......I just picture a bunch of sheep bounding happily across a grassy hillside every time.
I want to hear him tackle "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" afterwards, because no UA-camr has touched that yet, and Weeaboo let me down big time.
The beauty of this song is taking you through a full range of emotions and never saying one word!
Watched the concert at Earls Court London in 1994. The second half of the concert started with them playing the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. I can not even begin to describe to you how good it was.
I love seeing you emerge yourself into one of the greatest bands in the world.
The 2nd part back vocals are by Durga McBroom. Her sister (Lorelei) who was also in the original PF, reacted in another one of your videos in case you didn't notice. (Comfortably Numb Pulse live)
Hey man I’m a big fan of yours! I love that you’re taking your time to learn the greats of our past. I truly believe there’s no music that can be made to surpass anything that was made already
I love this. A Millennial's heart and soul being turned to molten metal by Pink Floyd - a band that burst into popularity in the early 1970's.
Shine on you crazy diamond live pulse aint bad either
Hell just watch the whole of pulse, its like that from end to glorious end 😳
The vocals on this version always gives me goosebumps.
Love your reactions to pink Floyd, should have a listen to the Division bell album, not there greatest but definitely worth a listen
i have had Division Bell on repeat almost since its release, i have listened to this thousands of times and i still treasure every song.
Animals, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Dark side of the Moon, then Division Bell for me
Once the Division Bell gets you that's it one of the best albums ever.
The Division Bell it's my favorite after DSOTM
It took me a few listens to the DB in fact when I first heard it I didn't like it and put it away and never played it for an age then one day I dug it out and gave it a few plays and it really grew on me now it is my Favourite PF album.
Hauntingly beautiful. Imagine, the depth and breadth of talent assembled by Pink Floyd for this performance. No detail was considered too small. Everything is of the absolute best quality and every facet is polished to the extreme. Genius!
So good to see people appreciate English music
This one is one of the most stereotypically american-sounding songs they've made, though.
Joey, everyone gets chills when listening to this great song. Thank you for turning on and giving Pink Floyd a listen. You are the Man!
If you like Floyd guitar solos, you need to check out a live version of Sorrow. Probably my all time favorite solo.
You should try: King crimson "in the court of the crimson kimg".. or Jethro tull "Aqualung"
It’s one of my favorite songs too, henny. I’m a white woman born in the 70’s so on many fronts that shouldn’t be a surprise, lolololol. But few people today have ever heard... let alone GROOVED... to this. So I’m here right now with you cousin. I am rocking my head side to side right along with you. Much love!
I've heard this track countless times since my first listen thirty years ago, whether it be on Dark Side of the Moon, their live albums even performed live by cover bands (in the flesh as it were) and it still gives me goosebumps. Just other worldly and stops you in your tracks.
Love watching reactions - been listening to Pink Floyd since I was 16! Never gets old!
The blond girl that starts singing is Sa Brown, whose mother Vicki Brown has toured with Floyd as a backing vocalist.
And here is Sam Brown again (sporting the red hat) a few years later with David Gilmour solo. I believe she made the vocal arrangement here (it is part of the Pink Floyd song High Hopes): ua-cam.com/video/sigyNxo0Sxw/v-deo.html
Joey, Great Reaction. Nobody was better live than Pink Floyd. These ladies are all amazing! This song takes your emotions on a roller coaster ride, No words but they sure say a lot straight to your soul!
Always have loved this song! The vocals say so much and evoke so much feeling, without ever really saying word.
that Pulse tour was something else.
Foxboro Stadium May 1994 - yes; yes it was...
Was at that very performance, best gig I have ever and likely will ever go to!
You know when David Gilmour stops and watches, you have something really special happening.
Claudia Fontaine passed away in March 2018. Only 57 years
Pink Floyd Shine on you Crazy diamond Live
And this is why it's NOT called a concert. IT'S CALLED A "SHOW".
Hey Joey, I know how much you like the female vocals Pink Floyd have in a lot of their music, and you appreciate the 'theatrical journey' they take you along...
... check out Roger Waters. He's from Pink Floyd and has a few solo albums and shows. He plays a lot of Pink Floyd songs on his shows and always has amazing musicians with him.
Roger Waters: In The Flesh is amazing!
Are you telling us you've never heard this before....Damn man, you're getting ready to fall in love
Loving watching these! It's great to see someone discovering Pink Floyd. Reminds me of myself listening to dark side of the moon for the first time. Can I suggest The Doors as another band to look at? Try RIDERS ON THE STORM!!
The concept and the reality of these vocals were and are amazing! Rarely created at all in rock ,,,,or any place else
Loving the stuff man
General suggestions of things you will probably enjoy.
The eagles
The Beatles
The Mars Volta
More rage against the machine
and alive in chains
Smashing pumpkins
Run the jewels
MF DOOM
Jamiroquai
You don’t have to react I just think you would personally dig it
The 1st one I got to see was in April of 1975 in Seattle. I have seen 7 shows since then in 3 different countries. My all time favorite band.
Glad you're doing this one! I've seen this song live many times and it always gets to me. So powerful.
Hey Joey !
This version is "OK", it get's the message across...... somewhat.
If you want to be completely blown away, then get a copy (hard to find) of this song during Floyd's "Delicate Sound of Thunder" tour in '88.
Here's a link, but the audio/video (while OK) is not quite up to the original.......
Get a copy of the DVD...
Here's the link:
ua-cam.com/video/2-DvI9Ljeg4/v-deo.html
Trust me....
These 3 women belted out more beautiful, raw emotion in a song with no words than I can describe.
Watch/listen to the link, then get the DVD... The entire concert on the DVD is....... just astounding Floyd.
When you get a copy of that DVD, Joey.... You're gonna love what they did with "Money" there at the coliseum.
Check this out:

David Gilmour(gilmore?) & Roger Waters...musical geniuses....nuff said!! Love your reaction bro Joey. Best to you n yours, Mike.
The first time I heard this ( back in the 70's or early 80's ) I thought that she was one woman. I also would have sworn that she was a black woman. The reason I say that is, listen to the soul in her vocals, I at the time could not see a white woman having that much soul in her voice.
Congrats on hitting over 30,000!!! And so fast!! You can only go up from here. It’s because your appreciation and interest in the music and the art is genuine, and it shows. This was a beautiful performance. Chills throughout the whole song. They have the most gorgeous voices, and no body could put on a show like Pink Floyd. So happy your sharing your journey with all of us. Thank you!!!
Watch Pink Floyd Pulse tour concert in its entirety, you’ll be blown away. Amazing show
2:59 That moment everyone falls in love with Sam Brown :)
I love that song but that is not the real girls that sing this song is actually kind of sad because of what the man says in the beginning of the song " I am not afraid to die why should I be afraid to die any time should do I don't mind sometimes you just have to go" that is what the man says
You should try a different kind of Pink Floyd's song like "One of these days"
The Pulse version is amazing.
Yea they're not bad, but remember PF did this way back in the 70's before the high stuff came in.
Yes, pulse version of one of these days is amazing!! But let's be honest, every pulse version is amazing haha
The Pulse version's great - the Doctor Who snippet is a lot more prominent there, too! :)
Takes me back to 74 ,driving my 69 chevelle ss, listening to this on my 8 track and token on a ~~~ enjoying life. Oh yeah.
Hey Joey
i have no valid reason for Pink Floyd to have missed my ears as i was of a age to have listened and connected, i stumbled into the reaction world and it was your comfortably numb reaction that cracked the door for me to open.
So i have done the Floyd reaction with you and i thank you for that and your undiluted pleasure to the music that has allowed me a space on the magic rug, i would enjoy your company in the carbon base living world as you appear to be a Gent.
with Thanks and appreciation
Graeme Edinburgh
maybe you can break the week into different decades 60s,70s,80s,90s + random
Really enjoyed the first time for Pink Floyd and Queen, not so much the recent/current stuff.
Get yourself some big old headphones as well
I've heard this many times. I still get chills every time I hear it.
Yay!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ check out high hopes from the same concert. It’s beautiful! Saw this live and yes it knocked me the f$&k OUT! It was even more beautiful live! Also check out one of these days from the same Earls court concert too. The production in that will make you fall apart!
Be sure to listen to Blind Melon - "Change"! Such a beautiful song that'll lift your spirits!
You react to the "Bach double violin concerto in d minor" it's honestly the rock of the 1700s.
F*ck yes. Any classical music I think would floor Joey.
Do a Led Zeppelin song like stairway to heaven
I always get chills & goosebumps with this and the original versions. The 3 gals do a wonderful service to Claire Torry's version, each bringing their own 'voice' to it. Since my mother's passing, I also tend to get rather misty eyed with this song (and High Hopes, truth be told). She's up there with Rick, in that Great Gig In The Sky!!
you should check out iron maiden one of the best all time bands ever from you uk and still touring after 55 albums.
Hallowed Be Thy Name reaction would be epic!
Peep the Terminal Forest by Pink Floyd. Momentary laps of reason is my favorite album.
Hi Joey, Would you please react to SNOWY WHITE Bird Of Paradise. It is not that widely known these days but as a Guitarist who played with Pink Floyd I think you may appreciate this song.
One of my favourites!
I dont think pink Floyd ever used black women in his band.
Pls react to where we start live David gilmour
there are several live versions, this is not my favorite, but does give you some idea how demanding the song is..............id try several versions......
You should watch the entire Pulse concert, then edit it into separate videos. :)
I'm with you on this one. experience an entire album properly.
Time to start doing Neil Young - Cinnamon Girl, Like a Hurricane, Southern Man...
I met David Gilmour back stage at a concert in California 1984. I asked him about the meaning - reason for “Great Gig In The Sky”…. David’s answer was something like…. .I was asked if Pink Floyd would ever do a song about Religion like some others have… so I said, You are referring to the great gig in the sky they call “God“. What words could be used to describe all the pain and suffering caused by religious beliefs. All the crying and wailing from mothers who lost their husbands or sons in a war fought over religious differences. The only vocals should be just the sound of a mothers crying with pain and suffering. That’s the true intentions of the song. We didn’t want to make that public so as to avoid any religious boycott like what happened to the Beatles after Lennon made his comment about Jesus. We could not tell the singer so as to avoid her making any comments that would end up in the media. The speaking heard at the beginning was recorded at Apple records prior to the recording of the song. Roger Waters placed a recorder at the door asking anyone who walked by to answer some questions into the microphone. The janitor stopped and recorded his answer to the question….”Are You Afraid Of Dying”?. It was decided to add the recording to the start of “Great Gig In The Sky”. It leads people to believe the song is about dying, but that is actually not the case. The Great Gig In The Sky…is GOD … The incredible vocals from Clare Torry happened when she did not know what they wanted. David Gilmour told her to pretend her voice is a Saxophone like on other songs on the album, no words, just tones. Results are legendary.
Yes, I remember when I was at this concert. The stage was just HUGE!! That was unbelievable. It's funny to see that everyone become a child again when they listen to these amazing and beautiful vocalists and be so moved like you are at 5:20
You gotta check out Pink Floyd - High Hopes LIVE ...
Every time that I hear a rendition of this song , it almost makes me mad. Clare Torry's original version and the way that she just let it flow as she felt it is an absolute master piece. Like a legendary athletes number being retired , no.one but Clare has the manic to sing it.
Prefer the studio version of this.
It's not easy to reproduce THOSE vocals live. They did a great job.
ua-cam.com/video/lytuBVTiHHA/v-deo.html
This is a better live performance 👍
I think after you've listened to the studio version many times and those notes are burned into you it's hard to hear it sung differently without getting knocked out of the place it takes you to. Especially since the vocal is the absolute focus of this, so it's like changing the core.
@@KeanKennedy Yeah, nothing against the girls, but it's just not the same, and a bit odd because Floyd is so meticulous about recreating their studio sound in live performances, with one exception, the vocals in this song, which are intentionally rogue.
If you want to experience the closest thing to Pink Floyd, check out Brit Floyd. If you see them touring anywhere near you and want a real experience at a show go see them! It's worth every penny.
Amazing live version of this Pink Floyd Masterpiece. You look like you enjoyed it Joey!
The "Delicate sound of thunder" Tour had the best line up of vocalists to cover the vocals in this song. These girls kind of butchered it.
I'm trying to figure out where these girls "kinda butchered" any of this song?? Sounds pretty pristine to me.
@@silviodante6792 I agree. I really was referring to how close they came to Clare Torry's vocals. Lol I knew I'd get some backlash for that!
very true
the whole show was better imo, the picture was awesome
@@user-xe4tv5dd4y Totally agree! Unfortunately, it's as close as I came to going to an actual Pink Floyd concert..😭
Agree. For me, the original is best followed by DSoT version although Durga was great here, as usual.
Can't be bothered, right now, to double check but I seem to remember Rachel Fury's voice being worn out in Venice & as much as I like like Sam Brown she didn't shine here, nor did the late Claudia Fontaine.
I love how he starts laughing in the early part of the song.
I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.
Joey my man you need to check out a documentary on UA-cam called "A Pink Floyd Story-Which One Is Pink?" Its an hour long and will give you an insight to what made the band Pink Floyd tick... Check it out!
Please, react to MAGGOT BRAIN by Funkadelic.
You're gonna have a helluva ride. ;)
And if you like great female vocal performances, give a try to I'd Rather Go Blind by Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa, Live in Amsterdam.
You'll thank me later. ;)
And I've said this before but I really like your videos, I love how you really got into Pink Floyd and I relate a lot to it as I used to listen to almost exclusively hip hop when I was younger.
I got into rock stuff quite late, but when I found out bands like Pink Floyd and so many others, it literaly changed my life, and it's really fun to relive this through you.
Anyway, you send good vibes man and it's cool, keep it up.
its a great show , iv seen Rodger Waters 2 times , Darkside of the moon and the wall .. well worth the time n $ for tix brother
To see you mind melt as you enter the Pink Floyd zone, is amazing. I was there, at the Pulse live show, and believe me, I will never ever forget it. Once you get drawn into Pink Floyd, you can never leave. They are / were the biggest band of all time, and they are in a league of their one.
Have you seen the Delicate Sound Of Thunder version?
Hey Joey, this may be something new for you but there is a beautiful woman named Devina Michelle. I think she is from Holland. She does covers of famous singers and she is a rediculously great singer. Pink watched her video singing her song "What about us" and said she could never sing that song as good as Devina Michelle.
The 3 I recommend is,
Pink; "What about us"
Alicia Keys; "If I ain't got you"
Whitney Houston; "I have nothing"
Joey....As I watched your eyes water up....I have always wondered if anyone on this Earth had tears in their soul that made it to your eyes like this song does to me. In 40 years I just saw the look on your face.....the look on your face is what my soul feels as I see this song. I call it "Orgasm of the Heart". Now I just saw someone love this as much as this 65 year old man has loved it.....The great Gig in the Sky.
