I appreciate you taking us along for this trip. I probably won't ever get to go to Sturgis, but super cool to see just a part of it.
you bet buddy
Took my kids to the Pioneer Village earlier this summer. I went when I was a youngster with my parents. My girls loved all the old classic cars. It is a place everyone should stop and see. Millions of dollars worth the classic cars, classic tractors and antiques.
exactly! glad you got to experience it
The spray paint Harley unit is one of my favorite builds you have done, glad she made it, knew she would.. great video!
Thanks Russell
That's really cool to see. Life has got in the way the last few years. Haven't made it out there in about 6 years now. Recognize most of it even the cars. Thanks
make some time friend! one thing no one can buy is time
@@ViceGripGarage few more years. I have a 5 year old priority holding me up. Wont be long now and he can go too.
The museum had a few old Jeeps out back....yup you showed 3 of them! And that crazy motor home, you hit all my favorites.
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride Derek, it's always the highlight of a man's day to see a new vidgeo notification from VGG pop up
Thanks for watching Steven
I stopped at Murdos with my two boys as we were heading out on a fishing trip. We really enjoyed the stop, I liked the Corvair truck, and the Ford Jeep. My son liked the life sized statue of Jar Jar Binks. I highly recommend the stop.
My pops and I got to ride through Sturgis / Black Hills area on our bikes back in the 2007 rally. We only got to go the one time, but what great memories.
I had a 6 week TDY at Ellsworth Air Base back in 1974. Got to see Mt. Rushmore on one of the weekend breaks. Pretty Cool...
Been there ain’t done that! 1992 I was between jobs so I did a cross country trip Long Island to California and back in my E150 I left my Electra glide home. I had a bicycle with me. I video taped a lot of the trip. I still have the bicycle, e150 video tapes and Harley. I have to compliment your mechanical skills and carefully planned reality presentations.
Watched half soon rewatching all of it .
Two good things at once, Sturgis and Vice Grip Garage! Top notch, twice over!
" I'd daily drive that thing" Pointing to the sprint car, is my favorite. I started going to World of Outlaw races in the late 70's .
I’m proud to live in South Dakota after watching this.
Man oh man that is a fantastic museum, I could spend a couple of days in there easy-peasy, wonderful collection, thanks for sharing VGG!
Man! Bikes, cars, brews, guns, and even a couple EVP sessions! That sounds like one hell of a couple of days! Thanks for the great vid!
haha.. yeah we were a little scatter brained for sure
Love every video. Car or motorcycle, it's all great.
Thank you!
OR BOAT!! ... or boat...
Next time you are in the Black Hills, get a hold of me and I will buy you a cold bubbly snack at the Road Hog Saloon, located in the Windmill Truck Stop. Been to the Pioneer Car Museum...favorite part was the steam engine tractor and the extreme older cars. Love the really old stuff.
If you ever want to travel near oklahoma, there is an annual farm show every year in June called the Golden Harvest I think you would appreciate. They get tons of old machines out there and work them, shoot bowling balls out of a cannon etc... it's pretty cool!
Like that C30. ESpecially with the super cool FORD wheels Buddy! Todd the retired trucker.
The box on the wood burner is a *Magic Heat* heat reclaimer. If you have a wood burning stove it's one of the best things ever.
Awesome vid per usual.
thanks Darrin
I had one, they're friggin' awesome.
@@richc9503 for sure. It made a HUGE difference in heating my shop. I honestly have no idea why they don't come standard on stoves like that.
Thanks for taking me back 30 years. Made mostly the same trip in the back seat of an 84 Bronco. In fact, a guy had such great memories of that rig, he had to snag another one identical so he could make new memories with his boys.
Never been to the museum or to the rally but thanks to this video I know all the best places to check out. My favorite car was definitely the trans am from Smokey and the bandit. Favorite car of all time and one of my favorite movies right up there with forest gump
That motorhome was really cool. It was good to hear you're an Oliver guy, me too . I have a 60, 66 and 70!
Lamborghini actually started as a farmer who ended up designing cars because it was his passion..
Ferruccio Lamborghini had been born into a family of grape farmers. He did not share the farming passion like his family; instead, he was more interested in mechanics. Lamborghini had served in the Air Force during World War II
@ViceGripGarage
Love you videos! I've been to Sturgis the last 30 years in a row and have been to every spot on your video. We jam out from Wisconsin just 60 miles to your east.
Thanks guy for taking us along. Enjoyed every second of it.
I was stationed at Ellsworth AFB from ‘09-‘11. Brings back memory’s.
What a small world. Thank you for your service!
I love seeing pictures and videos of the antique museum my brother was passing thru not long ago and stopped by there!!
Thanks for the video from Sturgis. Brings back good memories. I don't ride anymore but I should be. Keep it between the ditches.
10-4, thanks for watching Michael
I love the white Mercury at 24:07. Growing up my dad had a white 65 Monterey Marauder with the 390, that was one of the cars I learned how to drive in!!!
Reminds me of 98 when I went from Great Falls, MT to Sturgis. Left town at 5:30 in the AM, and it rained on us all the way to Spearfish. Then it rained off and on for two more days.
Been watching your stuff since the beginning. As a nowhere near big channel as yours I tip my hate to you for the quality stuff and not just pumping videos out for the hell of it. Awesome job man and since I can’t say I have ever been to SD, sturgis is deff on my list. Probably happen when I move out to MT. Good luck to you man and when you blow up big (and you will) you earned it.
thank you!!! 👊
I was just at the Murdo Museum a few weeks ago. I really liked seeing the old jail, bank, train and other parts of the old town. Of course I loved seeing a General Lee! It was my first of many to be times through that awesome place.
Making us feel like we are there with ya at Sturgis great work Derek some gorgeous bikes there @ViceGripGarage
Glad the full throttle saloon got rebuilt. Watched their TV show and sucked to see it caught fire.
Yeah was pretty crazy
A guy needs more videos!!! I’ve watched them all a few times. Can’t wait for your next project.
Thanks John
was there in 90...good times. Certainly changed alot. Chris spoke... you know he was havin a damn good time!
You took me down memory lane on your last stop. We took camping trips when I was a kid out there, and dad stopped every year there. Last I was there was 17 years ago. Need to take my kids on a trip...
Loved that Smokey and the bandit trans am you walked by.
Love the museum at Murdo; am always mesmerized by the 1936 Cord 810 they have on display.
One of your newest subs, was going through your other videos and found this one. Retired now in Vegas ,had to trade my 1991 Fatboy and buy myself a 65th birthday present, bought a 2016 V Rod Muscle needed the watercooling so I could ride out here in the summer. My wife of 46 yrs says ,you are a great grandfather you don’t need to go 140 mph! Have the need for speed.
I fell out with motorcycles a long time ago .
As I went across a road island on my backside at 40 mph I thought this ain't for me , but enjoyed your trip .
BEST Sturgis vid EVER! Thanks!!!
Never thought about the door lock on the General Lee - Ouch! Thanks for filming great road trip. Front mudguard was a great find.
you bet!
I've been riding to Sturgis from Atlanta almost every year since 2008. I have been to all those stops dozens of times. BUT, I have NEVER been to that cool car museum! I will put this on my plan for this year - for sure! By the way, I stay at a quiet, clean, cheap air B&B just 9 miles from Sturgis. I have become good friends with the owners over the years. I'd be glad to hook a feller up.
When I saw that restaurant with the Native American stuff followed by the walls of guns, I couldn't help but shed three tears. One red, one white and one blue.
That tractor museum at the end was pretty cool. Overall this was a great travel video.
Thanks King
@@ViceGripGarage I think Lambo made tractors before they made cars.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride
When I finally get there I'll know where to go! Awesome video!
Fantastic adventure- thanks for taking us all along!!
thanks Bill
Wife and I checked out the murdo museum five years ago. Really enjoyed the sheds full of beautiful cars
Thank you for the video of all the cars, bikes tractors...i DO Love that Buick!
That’s about the best rattle can job I’ve ever seen if you didn’t tell me I would of never known!
Was there for the 50th celebration never had such an enjoyable vacation since... Great job Derek! Brought back good memories
Thanks for letting us ride along with you. Been to that museum myself, we were driving back home from Washington . The tractors and old cars were great, still have pictures I took way back then. Hope Tennessee is treating you well, you're only about 90 minutes from us here in Alabama. Keep making the great videos.
I want to say big big thank you for this video! You guys on the other side of our good old globe has very different car culture as we have in EU, and I just can't see enough from the 60' and 70' american cars. And those bars and saloons, the mountains, the events! Awesome stuff! :)
you bet bud! thanks for watching
I rode up there several years ago, it's a mighty long ride from Mississippi but it was a blast.
I love the history of those old towns Thanks for the Wild Bill tour that was cool
np randy!
9:11 love the tinking of cooling Harley exhaust. Plus peddle planes, guns, and a 69 drop top Goat
I chuckled at the two story outhouse at the museum.
A Guy makes the coolest videos! And does a beautiful job on a Harley!! Lovin it!
Thanks for the " Great Adventure". Two venues I've always wanted to attend are the Sturgis rally and the " Hershey"'swap meet and show. Sadly, my age is against me in making that dream come true. But you gave me part of it the way I would have done it. Thanks Again!
I was up there specifically two weeks AFTER the rally on my way from Texas to Montana around 2012. It was totally different, with no tourists anywhere. More fun and calmer interaction with people, in the "before times". Camped on little patches identified as public land on my map, on either end of I think it was Hill City. I came upon that profile view you show of Washington completely unexpectedly and it was quite startling! Washington was always good at the art of surprise. Thanks for your channel. It's the only thing making me laugh these days, or at least for the last couple hours...
Looks like so much fun. So stress relieving!
I did tree work up there years back after a big freak storm. Thanks for sharing. Love your channel.
thank you
Awesome, been waiting excitedly for this video since the repaint on the old-man fairing...
and it did not disappoint! Thanks for share’n
you bet, thanks for watching Kevin
thanks for the ride, derek, great vid, for those of us not able to go.... keep 'em comin
Looks like ya had a awesome ride Derek hope you and your brother had a blast @ViceGripGarage
great video brother Sturgis is on the bucket list! Them front fenders make a fella's life much easier don't they?? lol
sure do! never had one before haha
I took the front fender off my ‘70 Schwinn Grape Krate.
It looks better without it.
Thank you for taking time to share your va ca with us who have never been, you are truely a herdy gerdy man, have had bikes but cant seem to get but about 25 feet down the road before someone runs a fella off the road or hit a patch of sand,,well you can imagine,,greetings from Delaware
This is awesome, I was there in 19 also, not on a bike. Just a visit to the hills with the family from Japan
Awesome video. You know too much!!! General Lee...my favorite!!
14:28....Heckyeah !!!! Not really into motorcycles. But! I love R "n" R, put another buck and a quarter in the jukebox baby!
The proper holes are always appreciated....used to work for Harley!
Thank you so very much for this first time very special tour. If I'm fortunate enough to live long enough I'd like to visit this in person. I'm also a big fan of you Vice Grips garage
I have wanted to take this trip for the last 20 years… Glad I saw this one finally…
The better half and I rode out there 2014 and 2019 from Ohio. Absolutely awesome area! Riding through the Badlands on 90 can really get a tic going on the face after a while.
I used to live in a little town just across the border from Minot in the 80's. Sure kick myself for mot ever going over and seeing the sights before crossing the borders was such a fuss. Thanks for the tour !
Uncle Chrissy seems like a real chipper fella! NoDak oilfield hand I assume? I could sit and have a beer or 10 with him, hours of silence is just my style.
I've been wanting to go to Sturgis for the past 18 plus yeas since I started riding. I love those old gear-head museums. They are so interesting and I could waste an entire day seeing them. I didn't know there were some up there. Makes me want to hit it even more! Thank you for sharing your trip. BTdubz, my bike doesn't have a front fender and in the rain I tie a handkerchief on the forks and it helps mitigate the rooster tail off the front wheel.
Great trip! That is a very pretty part of the country, spent a week in that area few years ago. Saw some of the sights! Thanks
Everybody riding baggers and me still running my Panhead, jockey shift bobbers.50 years of the same bikes.
Thank you for shooting the recorderdevice on this very interesting ride you went for. I enjoyed every minute of this. Awesome place that last one. Thank you again.
Thanks!
Nice vid good sir! Glad you gave us some video of Deadwood, great history there. I used to love the "Deadwood" mini series they had on HBO, cryin' shame it got cancelled.
That indoor car-show museum is a pretty cool idea. You wouldn't even have to own all of them you could just find owners willing to display a while
With all the old Winchester's and stuff on the walls and the farm equipment too it'd take me an eternity to get through there
I'm with Chris thanks for taking us with. I will not ever be able to ride again. Unless I can drive a car.
I love these videos, my brother had him a 67 fastback awhile back
I never got to go on my scooter to sturgis, but back in 2013 I was working over the road I came through and stopped by during the rally. It was nuts
This was a super cool video, & Sturgis is going on my bucket list, right after I get a bucket.
haha.. thanks
Lol. The next day after celebrating all night... I bet he is hilarious after a few. Great vids man keep em coming
This is awesome!
Awesome video Derek @ViceGripGarage
Great video, thanks for bringing us along.
thanks for watching
I was at that museum back in 2001... I remember the General Lee. I was driving a semi to Kansas City and my route took me right by here-
Nice, it's a great stop
Lamborghini started out building tractors. You can even get Porsche ones too.
my neighbour had a red porsche tractor with one headlamp in the middle
pretty cool
the "A German Tractor" was probably the Porsche. lol
That was cool of a guy to show us a lot of that trip! Thanks!
The belch made the video. Awesome!!😂😂
a guy have never been to the museum due to distance, but now i would like to go there! with you as a guide for some extra funny commentary! love every vidya! greetings from Viking Land, (Norway)
Love the superbird and challenger!
I’d like to see a 30 min long segment watching you get that Harley up and down that grassy hill.
haha 😂
