I want to point out that if you have proof that you are a veteran or gold star family you can get a free lifetime pass to all federal parks. I got mine at the entrance to Badlands National Park.

$20 for the motorcycle 10 day pass... well worth it.. and all the money spent for those passes stay strictly for Custer State Park and not split between all of the state parks like usual... go to Sturgis you'll not regret it IMO

Dear Bob and Tam fyi, in this video you stated that a leading cause of fatalities was people hitting animals. After 32 years of attending the rally and following accident stat. The leading cause of accidents and fatalities is failure to negotiate the curves. Followed by bikes hitting cars or visa versa.
Over the years we go the death and accidents we knew and heard out in the Black Hills Hit animals. Most of the statistics for the rally are more around Sturgis. Most Rallies only cover the city or county they are in. Your info may be right based on the statistics that they are given. In fact, in the city of Sturgis, the accidents are caused by those that don't yield to traffic. Drunk driving is another lead in accidents. Thanks for your input.
@@bobandtams I get my stats from State troopers and it covers every aspect of the rally. From the bad lands to the South Dakota border north south and west. I don’t check Wyoming. I rarely even see animals during the day and I don’t ride the canyons at night. Other that bison and donkeys on the wildlife loop or iron mountain. Pre rally the campground I stay in have lots of deer. But during rally even they disappear.
We had a pack of deers run in front of last year during Rally on Vanocker Canyon Rd
@@bobandtams you didn’t hit any did you. Just because they are there doesn’t mean they cause accidents. The people that are involved in accidents with them aren’t paying attention and looking for them all the time. It isn’t that I have never encountered dear. In all my years of riding I have only had a couple of close calls. Because I am always looking for them and learned along time ago that playing my stereo loud tends to make them run away from the road.

One of the first things I would like to see is exit 37. The road to the Chip from I-90. I've heard it will take up to ten years for hwy 79 to be completed. Can you update that please?
Don't forget tge military ride and photo shoot at Ellesworth AFB. exit 67B on Tuesday. It goes through Vanknocker Canyon and stop at Nemo. It ends in Sturgis in time for the fly over.
I try to find a newplace or something to see every year. Im thinking Wind Caves maybe this year.
