    Absolutely perfectly articulated, particularly the distinction between old and new understandings of the term 'respect'. Two very fine people indeed.

    Here is a man who was moved from safe house to safe house DAILY due to threats over a book!

    Rushdie's thoughts seem to fit the saying:
    I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it?

    Respecting the Liberty for Free Speech.
    I also agree that free speech should be granted & practiced by everyone, however, I feel that people who dont want their beliefs laughed at shouldnt have such funny beliefs, otherwise they're going get get alot of my free speech in return (accompanied with a few haha's)
