this is the best music of the entire game. As a kid I was sometimes sitting there, playing pmd red and just listened to this music in the darkness ridge. I'd like to have the old friend areas back.
This is sooo relatable. Just chillin at Darkness Ridge with my bro Absol in the front, playing this music feeling like my Pokémon life was a journey of the ages.
The only friend area I spent time in. There was only one pokemon my partner and I would travel with, the Absol who saved us in one of our darkest moments
Oh boy, it took the remake to get me to actually remember this theme even though I have a PMD Playlist and all the songs I like, but i never showed interest in checking the friend area OST.
This is amazing, though I swear I could've heard this somewhere long before mystery dungeon because it has a medieval touch. I feel like this came from somewhere composed centuries ago but I can't put my finger on what it was.

It's crazy, in some Years is the 20th Anniversary of that Game! I can agree... What we witnessed on the NDS and the GBA (even 3DS), that first Time feeling won't return anymore... (Maybe our Future Generations)
@@Dialga22239 Indeed! At least, some children who are growing up nowadays will find that experience in some of the newer games or they'll get to experience the games we have as well. I believe that magic and mystery we experienced is inherited by others, so I'm still hopeful. :)
Finally 100%ing this game- just got mew and celebi for my first time ever! All that’s left legendary wise is Jirachi. I love the friend area music remixes and I think all the new art they did for them is great, but I do miss walking around in them. My favorite friend area music is the pond theme. I hope they remake EOT/D/S too!

So I learned that you can change the key of a video by raising or lowering the speed by .05. This song at 1.05 speed with a raised key sounds very medieval! Edit: never mind, they took the function away. Stinks too I had a lot of fun with it
Looked it up, and it appears that Gourd Swamp is the Japanese name. The original game could have mistranslated it, or the people who translated the remake might have felt the Japanese name fit better.
My question is, why did they change "friend areas" into "camps"? It's not a big deal, I know, but it just feels weird calling them that. I still call them friend areas.

Yeah, this was a Feature, which I really enjoyed in PMD1 back these Days. It was so unique :C
It was something to do with being able to befriend a larger group of Pokemon in this version.
It could also just be a matter of streamlining the process, which I heard some people actually like better now.
