When I played through, somehow the demon lords all ended up killing each other (don't remember exactly who, but one of them did burst damage as it died and killed the one remaining) so the party never had to lift a finger. it was GREAT
My players each controlled a demon lord in the fight. One of them flew up into the air, and the other remaining lord teleported onto his back, killing him. Then they both fell 300 feet, which killed the last one. It was epic.
I plan to run this campaign and when It gets close to the end I’m gonna make character sheets for the demon lords and have the players have a battle royal
I would suggest keeping zuggtmoy alive depending on how many you have in your party. I did this with my campaign and it was a long fight to the end. And Orcus won. I was hoping the demogorgon would but my players killed that one first. Lol the reason I say zuggtmoy is good is because you can play as her and allow some aid in case one player gets ganged up on. I felt bad for him when it was happening but I only had 4 players in my party
I've been wanting to run this campaign for a long time, and I've been looking up resources before running it for my currwnt group. Your video did an excellent job summarizing the story in a digestable way without having to read the whole book (I made part way into the secknd half about 5 years ago and haven’t been able to read further). The fuide you linked in the description is also a gods send. Cheers mate, this will make my prep work so much better!
All I thought there was in Out of the Abyss was spiders, drows and mushrooms. But holy hell is the story amazing. They way the adventure is written does not give a good idea of what is happening and your video enlightened me in the literal sense. Good work mate, please don't stop.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it and so far, I plan on continuing! Yeah the Underdark is full of fun things. I think my favorite of the inhabitants has to be the kuo toas.
@@DnDWalkthrough well, my party loves Shuushar to death, their words. His constant nagging about non violence made my Necromancer PC try to take him to the afterlife.
I've watched a few of your videos now, and you have a way of making anything you cover sound fun to run as a DM. If I only had 5 copies of myself, I'd run alot more than I currently am.
Haha, I get that! DnD is certainly a time commitment. While I enjoy running the D&D adventures, I also really love reading them. I'm glad my way of covering these videos make them enjoyable! Thank you!
Great video. This is one of the few WotC campaigns I played through. It’s long but it was fun. Everyone wants to fight the demon lords, we a read those stats growing up and dreamed about it.
i really like the video and appreaciate the effort. great work! but i don't think many DMs or players will look at it to not spoil themselves of one of the besta adventures in 5e. it's sad that this can't get more views.
Some ideas for playing the fish race: When you interact with them, you should know that they exist, still, in their own aquatic reality. When you speak about things that are specific to air-dwellers, they will simply look at each other without understanding and expect you to clarify for them without asking you -- afterall fish use gestures more than words and these are gestures of their race to indicate their lack of accord. Also, they understand food rewards. Also, you should know that the descriptions of the main fish-characters come from an attempt by air-dwellers to describe their culture. You must re-interpret BACK into fish-life rather than rely on their anthropization of this race.
In our campaign Gromph magic jar’d his brother and impersonated him, tricking us into casting a ritual to summon an avatar of Lolth. So we “failed” in our quest to stop the demons when we were level 14. I say “failed” since the campaign is still ongoing until we reach level 20.
Incredibly helpful video! I was looking for Underdark content since I want to use Mind Flayers as villains in my campaign, but there aren't any here. Do you know of any adventure that contains them?
The PCs are supposed to be some sort of good alignment? Yet they plucked feathers of vulnerable angels without their consent and did not bother to investigate how to help them?

Wow, that's pretty great! Honestly, just exploring the Underdark is most of the fun when it comes to this adventure.
Sounds like a fun fight to watch with popcorn

Thanks for the recap. I wanted to rewrite it to my tastes and having a summary in front of me makes it so much easier

@@DnDWalkthrough I really want to save one of them and make them a NPC party member when Lemonagoogon flattens the city.
Haha good luck if you do so! I don't think I could do it cause they talk funny and I don't know how long I could keep that up lol

Our party summoned the demon lords in a remote location DBZ-style after we enchanted the place with all kinds of spells to help us. Great finale!

I really like this module, im running it in conjunction with Rime of the Frostmaiden (the party went to the underdark to finish off the duergar).
Wow this is truly great, EXACTLY what I was looking for, thank you so much!
You definitely have one more subscriber!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy it and welcome!
Thanks for this reading
Great summary!

This channel has criminally little subs! :O

Good video! Excactly the kind of info I was looking for as I consider running this - in a slightly modified version! Thanx
Glad it helped!
Thank you! What a recap :-)
Thanks for watching!
Very good video!
I'll totally share
Thank you so much!! That means a lot to me! Glad you enjoyed it!

Well made video
Thanks!
ah yes, the adventure where you escape the underdark in order to immediately turn around after ONE day of rest to return to the underdark
That was pretty easy to summon Demogorgon
I can’t wait to let my characters run the demon lords and have a battle royale
What no Drow princess?
Lolol TWO demon lord's summoned and the drow ARE STILL CHASING YOU lolololol
The PCs are supposed to be some sort of good alignment? Yet they plucked feathers of vulnerable angels without their consent and did not bother to investigate how to help them?
Iirc the angels stuck in the Gallery are imprisoned there for heinous crimes
Lol jublex just arrived to eat the bride
It sounds very railroady, isn't it?
The plural of "drow" is "drow."
Ahh, thanks for informing me! I'll keep it in mind for the future!
Bro I thought it was pronounced "velk-in-velv" this entire time😭
Oh my god lol demonlords everywhere
💍💎🪖
Yawns. No, I won't be buying this module. It sounds terribly bland. Thanks for the warning.
Seems very far fetched a random band are able to defeat a demonlord.
