One Hour One Life is a 2018 survival massively multiplayer online game developed and published by Jason Rohrer. Each player lives for, at most, 60 minutes in a large, persistent world, with each minute representing a year of life. I was so happy watching this, it made me laugh and also made me cry, I was Kevin's mom this time and also was the woman who took him under her wing after Betty died.
I remember that life very fondly, I was making a graveyard for people that were special to me, like family and nice people who helped me during each life, took me around three lives to finish it and I actually bury you in it.
You were my only child during that lifetime and were a lovely child I must say, and I wanted to teach you a lot, but you keep running away and yes, you were super fast haha.
The first time you went away after telling me you were going to get me a gift, I was so sure you weren’t going to make it back, so I tried to follow you and watch from afar in case you needed help, but sadly I lost you after a while. When you made it back with the egg, I was super happy, so I went to the kitchen to prepare the omelet and wanted to give it to you. While I was getting the stuffs to preapre it, I asked you to please bring fire so I could cook the egg in the kindling but you went away once more and this time I couldn’t find you again. I waited for you and sadly time run out and I couldn’t say good bye, tho I did said some final words that you can still read at the Family Tree in the OHOL website if you look for Betty Fight. When the time was almost over, I went to the graveyard and took the omelet with me, hoping you would find it.
I was reborn in the same family as Berry Fight, and the next time I saw you, you were asking for your mom, so I decided to show you where her body was in case you wanted to say goodbye. Then you said you were going for a shovel, and I tried to stop you, but again you just run away hahaha. I waited but after a while I thought that maybe you didn’t make it, so I decided to bury her and finish her grave and also did the engraving of the other graves around, after that I was going to take the horse and go out to find your body, but then you made it back haha.
The next time I saw you, I was about to go out to get more stones to finish the floor inside the graveyard and I catch you right when you were hitting the gravestone with the shovel, then you said “I can explain” and I almost die of laughter, was the funniest thing ever.
When you died writing the note I screamed at my screen “NOOOOO” and actually thought you died of old age, I was super sad, so I took the body and bury it in the family graveyard, engrave it “Son” and left you a cute little note under the grave in case you were to be reborn in the same family.
I continued my life and had two more kids, five in total, but sadly all of them disconnected. So, at the end I asked a nephew to please bury me in the family graveyard next to Betty.
Just a few things, I usually don’t tell my kids if I’m reborn cause I feel it breaks the sense of finality that this game brings, which makes each life unique and special, you have one chance to share with this other person and teach it and help it grow, one chance to be a little part of its life and then you are gone and is up to your kids to continue the line. But if I’m reborn in the same family, and I see my kids from a past life struggling, I do try to help them.
Another point, sadly I didn’t notice you were starving at the end due the mask you were wearing, if not I would had tried to give you pie again, also, the note you were writing didn’t save, but I did made a note with what you said before and put it under Betty’s grave and redid the engraving. Made me happy to finally be able to see what you wanted to write.
Finally, I wasn’t your mom in your previous life, but I did saw the video and felt in love with her, that video made me decide to get the game and play it and she completely inspired me to be the best mom I could be in this game, and I took her catch phrase “It happens” for myself, so every time a bb disconnects or something bad happens, I say, “Don’t worry, it happens, isn’t your fault”, to help see the other person that is fine.
It was amazing to have been your mom in this game and see the time we shared from your point of view, I hope you decide to keep playing it and maybe we get to be family again in some other life. "Huggies and see you in another life"

Anyone else noticed that the Mom actually made the omelette from the egg Kevin gifted her? 19:43 Even though he was all the way lost throughout his life. Mom didn't toss away the egg somewhere, she knew that finding that egg was his only acomplishment in that life xD. She looked busy managing her lil graveyard but actually took time out of her 1hour life to make that omelette T_T this community is so wholesome I can't.

So after this video, I got corious about the game, so I went to its website, and found out, that you can look up family trees ad you can also see the cause&age of character's death and their last words. I looked up "Leon Fight" and found the one, whose mother was "Betty Fight" (also his last word, "Excellent" checks 😂). And there I found, that his mom last words were those above. ❤
And I did manage to see him in the next life ❤

This game is so wholesome, even Kevin can't bring himself to be a troll. It's crazy how attached you become in an hour.
I think it's cause people are genuinely doing a lot of work in this game and actually messing that up would be pretty mean of someone to do.
Right? Last time he played it I expected him to run around and troll everyone, but he got dragged into this whole community of living together and caring for each other, and it was sooo wholesome!
The scenario where you just smash the headstone while wearing the goblin mask and your 'mother' pops up at that exact time legitimately made me cry with laughter. I've not laughed that hard in a long time, my god.

I love watching you learn this game! It’s hilarious and wholesome. Yes, most people in this game are nice. Teaching each other how to do things is actually a big point of the game. You can be born back into the same family sometimes but it’s random chance. That’s why so many babies die. They get born and see it’s not the place they wanted so they type /die and it kills them without negative consequences.

I actually like this part of the game it makes the process of still born babies a game mechanic in a game about life. Sometimes it isn't meant to be thankfully not as heartbreaking as real life but it's a nice touch in a game that is all about life death and living again. It would be annoying if the player base was smaller but as is it's a neat mechanic and leads to some crazy world building when you're really into a life and are being a good mom to your living kids

So wholesome! You have to be the most loving child ever, always wanting to please your mother. If I was the mom, I would be extremely happy if my kid brought me an egg too. There is a lot of genuinely nice people in this community, so enjoy your stay!
Also when you disconnect in this game, it doesn't make you die. Your character will stay there not moving but people can still interact with them. When you spawned as a grown up tan lady, you might have disconnected, but people fed you so you would still produce more babies for the colony, and when you try to relog, it will put you back into your last life if they would still be alive. The dead baby thing is something that just happens when someone types /die to kill themselves as a baby to be reborn into another town. They might have been working on a project in their last life, or just had an attachment to a different town and wanted a reroll.

I recently lost my mom; it was kind of emotional last video when "your mom" died but it is super endearing that you keep finding these wholesome "moms". Keep this series coming, I'd like to see a start of a colony up to racecars.

this game seems so simple at first but it soon becomes evident that its built upon cooperation and people playing together. and i love how the game communication is limited along with a set definition of 'lifetime'. It's a great concept and i love that my exposition to it was through this channel, with its lovably chaotic energy. Then again, Kevin and the absurd situations he willingly and laughingly enters into time and time again, is what makes him one of the greatest entertainers on this platform in my opinion. Thank you

there was a guy in denmark (i believe it was denmark) who made a bunch of small aquariums out of blenders, each was full of water and one goldfish. each blender had a large switch that people had full access to. none of the goldfish lasted through the day

This game is amazing and the ecosystem seems to bring the best out of everybody… Kevin, those are wholesome videos that shows an other side of your personality, and we all love the other sides, but it feels good to watch someone’s humanity ! I d’love watching some other videos of yours on that game and keep not learning the technical stuff, you are really good at the relationship stuff!

@@jamesmol3634 I got this game after Kevins first video and been playing it every day since. Its always something new, always something to do. And you do meet and interact with a lot of wonderful people. There are some trolls, but those are rare and sollme griefers that kill sheep and try to ruin stuff for the little settlements, but those are usually dealt with quickly and its great to see how everyone comes together to kill and curse one asshole
I can understand why this game would have a surprising amount of actual helpful players bc you cant afford not to be helpful when your time is numbered and it's difficult to survive

when you want to come back to your colony, you can write "/die" (in the chatbox) when you get born until you get born where you want to be. This is also one of the reasons why sometimes newborns die immediately

i remember this game was popular a few years back, but after it died down i forgot it, and when i saw the recommendation for the previous video, i was soo excited cuz that revived the memory that i had forgotten, i hope u keep making videos of this game cuz i truly love it, and when i watched someone else play it, i didn't get the same laughs like i did with ur video, im a new fan of the channel, i subbed about a week ago, and i'm already inlove with ur content and humor.

From what I’ve seen a lot of people are very wholesome in this game. Moms and babies saying i love you and sending off the old people with love and making memorials. Of course some griefers but generally everyone wants to move the town forward and leave something behind for posterity.

I played some of this game after your last video. I spawned in to a woman out in the wilderness on her own, so I thought this was a new world.. but then she started running back to her home. We found grandma, and they continued running.... more babies were being born to both of them so we ended up having a litter of kids with us as well. Turns out they were completely and utterly lost.
Grandma died, and mom ended up dying as well, and they were the only people in our group who had ANY knowledge of where the town was. Then I grew up and started having kids as well.
One of the kids knew the game and let us know we can do /leader to find out where our family leader is, and so we should find the town.. except one of my kids currently had leader status so that was unhelpful.
We were lost in the wilderness for a long time, we'd been lost for several generations, trying to find any signs of civilisation, following leylines, finding abandoned structures, group kept getting split up.. until my leader son died of starvation and someone else not in our group inherited it. So with /leader we just BOOKED it in the right direction. Sadly, I got mauled by a bear because the toddler I was trying to carry kept getting loose and made me easy bait.
My last words to my children were "Run", "To Leader"
And then I died. I hope they made it back safe. And I hope they finally put down a goddamn home beacon.
