About One Hour One Life
This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story. You only live an hour, but time and space in this game is infinite. You can only do so much in one lifetime, but the tech tree in this game will take hundreds of generations to fully explore.
This game is also about family trees. Having a mother who takes care of you as a baby, and hopefully taking care of a baby yourself later in life. And your mother is another player. And your baby is another player. Building something to use in your lifetime, but inevitably realizing that, in the end, what you build is not for YOU, but for your children and all the countless others that will come after you. Proudly using your grandfather's ax, and then passing it on to your own grandchild as the end of your life nears.
And looking at each life as a unique story. I was this kid born in this situation, but I eventually grew up. I built a bakery near the wheat fields. Over time, I watched my grandparents and parents grow old and die. I had some kids of my own along the way, but they are grown now... and look at my character now! She's an old woman. What a life passed by in this little hour of mine. After I die, this life will be over and gone forever. I can be born again, but I can never live this unique story again. Everything's changing. I'll be born as a different person in a different place and different time, with another unique story to experience in the next hour...

i had a situation like this, only men left slowly waiting to die. i ended up being the last one and buried everyone else, felt kinda emotional lol
I love how you bounce from thing to thing with no time wasted. Its like a 30 minute long waltz that you know how to do
Some people get really annoyed at that but this game is like a never shifting list of priorities, you gotta adapt every time something new happens

I looked them up and all their OHOL vids are 6-8 months old. They're not with the current version of the game so it's not really helpful.
i am playing 2 hour one life, it is quite different from ohol. people say its better but i think ohol is much better than it with its dynamic random spawn and mechanics. do not have money to buy the original game tho. can you make comparison of some sort of two games it would be fun to watch it

Dev is dead but playerbase is alive
The developer of this game, Jason, hasn't updated the game since October of 2021, but the community is still pretty active. There's definitely some low pop hours but with the influx of new players thanks to Call Me Kevin's video about this game it's been pretty lively the past few days. With noobs, but active nonetheless.
No new updates but far from dead, still a solid playerbase
You should consider 2hol, which is free and there are also updates sometimes.

You could play "You are Hope" for iOS or Android. It's based on an earlier version One Hour One Life, but it was made and expanded on by a different developer. I hear there are slight changes to the game.

Is there a bug here? In your cause of death it says "killed by mosquito swarm" even though you died of wolf bite.

how do i make my game less laggy??
if it's laggy then your PC is probably too weak to run it at 60 fps, you probably want to adjust your framerate to be lower. You can modify the files in your settings folder to change it.
in the settings folder:
Set 'targetFrameRate.ini' to 30 (or other desired framerate)
Set 'skipFPSMeasure.ini' to 1
Set 'countingOnVsync.ini' to 0

Not gonna lie, I REALLY miss when your 1h1L from 3 years ago. I still love your content but the background music, all the zooming in and out, and the face reveal takes away from the experience of watching you play the game. Hopefully one of these days I can catch you live ❤
