- This is a demo of MicroMusic, a new synthesizer AI sound reconstruction tool. It works with Vital, and is a free alternative to SynPlant 2. I hope you enjoy the video! Keep in mind this product is not fully refined, and will improve in the future.

Update: it has come to my attention that some of you are having issues with the model predicting way to much white noise. This is an oversight on my part, because the model can only handle wav files that are integers and 16 bits encoded (blah blah programming talk). To fix this is issue, please convert all sounds to wav (even existing wav files) using format factory and set to High Quality (leave settings at default). You can download format factory here: www.pcfreetime.com/formatfactory/
Update: it will also crash with audio files with special characters. Please remove these from the names first!

This is really great as a learning tool. But using it without trying to learn sound design is pretty much the same as only using presets someone else made. Not original!
No one cares how you make music, its about how good the music you made is

As far as I'm concerned, I just fixed the problem "prediction failed" by extracting the GUI folder before installing Micromusic, if that helps anyone.
In any case, great video and thanks for this really game changer approach.

It works with an app called CrossOver. Just ignore the error that happens when you generate - the presets will be in the destination you chose.

It definetelly not works for me. No matter what sound I throw in I get a "supersaw" variation on output.

This is not working on my laptop sir Whenever I drag a wav file the software doesn't load it.
To those talking about the importance of sound design, sure, but having an initial preset to work with--- like a sampled kitchen sound of a stainless-steel bowl ping or wine-glass-rim finger-spin or ceramic bowl ping, etc.-- is where our sound design meets the sound/instrument that the universe already made. We can do assembler language programming and/or we can have a word with AI about coding something for us that we need, right?

Absolutely does what it promises to do, unlike many other AI tools. This can be used as a tool for learning, as much as a quick fix for noobs
I can see this being awesome for people that don't know how to make their own synth patches. Just needs to be able to output presets that are compatible with more synths like Serum and Phase Plant.

Maybe add 5 complex wavetables that the AI can choose from to make complex sounds, and the possibilities become even more endless when combined with the "wavetable modulators" inside of Vital.
I really like this idea! Maybe for version 1.2! Right now the biggest problem is getting it to generalize to more complex sounds. But having different wavetable outputs could really help that
So right now this only works with vital? Great job btw. How long until we can replicate experimental sounds?
^^^^^^ I've suffered multiple drive failures, most of my content is uploaded to an _undisclosed location_ with terrible fidelity. Having a bass version would be INCREDIBLY useful for recovering some of my best sound design from years ago

Nice, free alternative or supplement to Synplant. As mentioned, different methodologies. Both great sound design aids.
Its more convenient to put the folder under documents C:\Users\PC\Documents\Vital\User\Presets\Vital\New folder. The newly added folder needs to be under the second vital folder. easier.

For version 1.3, if you decide to open source it, please add Spleeter by Deezer to your project
Spleeter is just stem separation commandline tool. So, you can extract drum / bass / melody first, before sending it to MicroMusic AI engine. For better synths results
