I feel very fortunate to have made it out the other side of being an extremely heavy drinker (daily) for four years. With the help of Librium, I managed to get through the worst of it in only 4 days. Sitting at day 5 now and feel pretty good. I drank a 30-pack daily for 4 years and even needed to supplement with vodka throughout the day to mitigate withdrawal symptoms. I really thought my withdrawals were going to be worse than they were. It was my first detox ever and never wish to repeat it!
Foolishly I got laid off and started having a few beers everyday in my Yard try to keep myself from boredom. Well that turned into about 8-12 in about a month and did that for 6 months. When I said yes I’m bored of drinking now I felt severe hangxiety for a few days and had a really hard time sleeping
I've heard that people going through severe and even moderate withdrawls get prescribed benzo's sometimes. Wouldn't benzo's just prolong the alcohol withdrawls since they both have an effect on Gaba?
I know this is a year old but, they start them on a high dose at first and then gradually taper off the benzos. It's usually for short term, life or death situations.

Wow! At that point, it can be dangerous to quit outright. Hope you're doing better now and don't make that mistake again! 😅

I think I may go to inpatient and turnover my firearms to my local police. I’m starting to hear really crazy voices
And the insects that “crawl” on you… this is so scary
Well fuck
Jusk drink a Bud light 😂
