The Mandalorian is getting incredible reviews, and then this game is receiving the same kind of praise. Star Wars is on the rise and will not be denied. After the hatred and the spite that has been thrown at the franchise over the last 2 years this is really good news and I have my fingers crossed that it will stay this way.
that hate was deserved though...You can' deny SWBattlefront 2015 looked great but was very lacking in content and BFII was handled really badly too and lacked content as well as the micro transaction fiasco and play to win content they planned. People just got fed up with EA/Dice... not so much Star Wars although the pas couple of films weren't great and last jedi is in my top ten worst films I've ever seen...and I've seen a shit ton of films in my lifetime. BFII is really good now so shows what could have been done and, as it is now, deserving of praise it''s getting...but not at release. This looks decent... I'm still wary but would love to try a demo before forking my money outright. It's getting tiring trading in games I recently bought or returning them to certain stores for store credit.

After episode 9 of course. Lol there is no hope for that movie. After that though, hopefully it keeps getting better and Disney realizes what they are doing and that you cant just cater to one group or your stuff fails. No matter what one group.

Cal Kestis is a great protagonist, I hope they can build more lore around him and make him a central character in SW cannon going forward. He's a better SW Jedi than any character Disney has come up with in the films so far. More Cal please.

the coolest thing for me was that i could use my actual lightsaber i got at galaxy's edge. i had the exact hilt and color i build at the savvys work shop experience. i cant tell you how happy that made me.
Anyone other than me want a DLC where we can travel to more iconic and planets? Imagine getting to travel to Tatooine, Mustafaar, Naboo, or Coruscant? The Death Star would be a dream come true to get to travel to.
Pre-Ordered and will pick it up today. Super excited to get my hands on this game! Yes I will be honest, during the time period trailers were dropping for Fallen Order, I was listening to alot of the politics and questioning if I should even bother continuing my support for the SW franchise. However times have changed, and things look to be good as of now.
I've played almost 7 hours and I definetly think it's money well spendt! I'd definitly recommend it!

I picked it up cause it was on sale, being a game masochist I started on Grandmaster. One of the hardest games I played but so rewarding. I agree with everything you’re saying!
Tip to anyone, when BD leaves your shoulder check why, sometimes it’s to power something but other times he wants to scan stuff (xp)
A keyboard and mouse worked out really well for me, but my mouse has 2 extra buttons i could set certain commands to. I could imagine a controller being much more fluid with the force powers

Something that amazed me is the fact a good game has been produced in the past few years because as we all know gaming has been pretty dry now with all of the good stuff coming from anything behind 2016. This game is so interesting fresh and enjoyable and I yet need to finish it
For those about to play it on PC, getting a CONTROLLER EMULATOR IS A MUST.
During the fights you need to dodge like all the time and it was impossible for me to do it on the keyboard.
I kept missing the Z key while pressing A or W or D.
Once I got the controller everything changed .
I finished this game's main story yesterday it was worth my money
I’ve 100% the game, and in my opinion, some things did feel like a chore. I didn’t like that after 8 minutes of struggle to find a chest, I’d get a new poncho color or something. If you’re beginning the play the game, I would focus more on the story that on the exploration, but that’s my point of view. Btw, the rest of the game was amazing
When you’re not focusing on that stuff, it’s not too much of a chore when you’re trying to find a secret then, yeah, it’s a chore
I try to find some secrets, but not all of them because I want to go through with the story
I started with controller then moved back to M&K I had to rebind controls to get a good feel to them. I really love this game !! Almost finished it.

Downloaded this game last night for free with my PlayStation + premium. WOW. I don’t even really like the Star Wars franchise but I’m genuinely blown away by how good this game is. I didn’t sleep LOL just played through the night. What a game

The game was great even tho i had to restart it when i got the Dathomir glitch at 72% of the story. My only complain is, it wasnt long enough and it would be cool if they releases any type of dlcs.

Buying this game, I felt more nervous than admitting to long friendship person that I actually have feelings about us.
And every second that im playing, it's so satisfying and I can't believe that this game, about star wars that has EA sticker on it, is not actually crappy shit.
I do love our star wars community! We wasn't silent with batlefront 2 issues, and made understand EA that we aren't Fifa gamers...

I LOVE this game!!! The story line, the openness and choices of how you can progress your game, the small and big bosses - I was dreading disappointment on at least one of these but this game is everything I was hoping it would be! It's epic! I love this game!!
Small tip if u haven’t learned since this video u should try parrying the attacks more because that helps the most
Yeah it reeks of other games as uncharted, ds etc etc but you know what comes to my mind? Three hit melee combo, lil robobuddy on the back, doublejump with roll, going from planet to planet, customizing the ship... it's like playing the ps2 ratchet amd clank using only the wrench
Having never used a controller on a PC, what controller would you recommend?
Honestly Xbox because they use simpler terms for the buttons on the corners and the triggers and it feels way more open than a ps4 controller imo

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is such a fun game ! 🙂 I enjoyed this game alot because of the exploration, epic bossbattles and lightsaber duels against the Inquisitors and Taron Malicos, lightsaber combat and customization , Force powers and an amazing story and voicecast 🙂

My favorite Star Wars game its hard to say that because of how much I’ve been in love with jedi academy my whole like but it’s true 🤷🏼♂️ I need DLC though beat the game far too fast and I’m like 10 chests away from 100% 😰

I agree, it’s a very nice solo game. I was bored with Spider-Man and others like that, very repetitive, running around and bored easily with the same actions again, following the main quest, and doing some repetitive secondary objectives.
Here, it feels different. You don’t really know what’s main, what’s secondary. You explore, and it’s not a full open world where you don’t know what to do, or well, you just know too much what to do, and you don’t really explore.
The puzzles feel like I’m Indiana Jones! Not impossible to understand, not easy though, but not boring at all (normally, I hate puzzles!).
That’s a good surprise for a solo game.
As well as I’m surprised with the new ways of using the standard mechanics (XP, ressources to collect, vendors, etc.) in Death Stranding.
Many licenses have to learn from Death Stranding (open world, MMO, solo, etc. which are all there), and from Jedi: Fallen Order, with the story line, maps,...
The only things I don’t like:
- moves/jumps... sometimes a bit harsh (animation...). You feel stuck on some rock, you glide on ice and the response with direction is hazardous (so you do the gliding several times to get to the end... well, it’s ice... so, maybe it’s the way it has to be)...
- the frustration when you go far in a labyrinth and there’s a closed door you can’t go in because of blocked ability yet, thinking that you’ll have to do all the puzzle again later... but, well. Maybe that’s fun anyway to go back. I stay in the grey zone for now, before saying I really don’t like that.
- always the same boxes to open on each planet... could have been different from planet to planet... seriously... :-/
- differences between the difficulty levels you choose to play (story, Jedi master, etc.): the only felt difference is damage you receive. The more mean enemies on higher difficulty? Don’t see a real difference... and it’s the same number of enemies on each difficulty level. No « crowd » feeling with more enemies to handle with from a difficulty level to the next one... I don’t feel that I fought a lot, after killing 3 stormtroopers in an area. Maybe further in the game, there are more crowds... so, still in grey zone also for now...
PS: love the double-bladed saber... (cool you can have it early! I was surprised I had it so early). Hope there’s a red color for the blades... hehehe... ;-)

I love this game so much but for reasons and moments that I would honestly feel bad stating, because robbing someone of that discovery experience is pretty inexcusable to me. Suffice it to say that in the absolute 20 hour blitz of a playthrough I went on spread over 12:30 AM on the 15th to 2:20AM on the 18th I experienced more raw and powerful emotional responses than I could have predicted. It's such a beautiful story of a young man learning to acknowledge the horrors of his life and continue living anyway. Absolutely play it before it becomes common knowledge.
So I love Star Wars and bought this game and yet I haven’t seen Rise of Skywalker yet because they messed up the movies (and my childhood with TLJ). This game actually feels like Star Wars! TY Respawn for awakening the kid in me again! 🙏

It was basically a star wars Zelda for me and i fucking loved it.
I like the game for the most part but I don’t like when u need to get back to the ship because it takes just as long or longer than the original mission. Otherwise good game
much better story than battlefront 2 2017, then again it didn’t have much going for it with that Lootbox controversy years ago, but Battlefront 2 had online multiplayer to make up for its lousy story, and its far better now than it was at launch.
But as it stands Respawn’s Fallen order has Launched with far better reception, not just because theirs no microtransactions, but because fallen order had a direction, it knew what it was trying to do, to tell the story of a Lost Padawan who comes back to face his past and rise as a Jedi Knight. And for that I give the game 9.9/10, only because theirs no challenges or content left after your done 100% exploring everything.
With 0 replay ability I feel the games worth about $40 so wait for sale. 0 loot besides the saber just lore that gives you EXP if you listen. Only issue I’ve had is the loading times.. If you play on hardest difficulty and find yourself dying a lot you’re going to find yourself loading more often than playing
I hope they add an alternate timeline sixth dlc

Respawn has KILLED IT this year!! Not a huge fan of Apex legends but it was very successful and then they kinda saved star wars video games? Kind of hard to tell yet, BUT THEY KILLED IT
There are just too many monsters at the beginning.
I think the graphics are a bit of a let down an movement feels very clunky.

Really enjoying the game so far, but am I the only one that has been having lip syncing issues during cutscenes? It hasn't happened in any dramatic cutscenes yet, but I can see it ruin the moment if it does.

I’m a Star Wars fan since I was a little kid after seeing the first trilogy, but we have to be honest graphic wise, world exploration, immersion, story, customisation and characters RDR2 is in a league of its own.
If you compare this game to Spider-Man PS4 then I would agree they are very close.
This game feels like EA had nothing to do with it creatively :D

Because they aren't brought with money and you have to work for them
Seems like a lazy design, instead make it so you get parts in places that make sense, Jedi temple, grave, inquisitor lockout etc.

it looks really god but animations look really loose... i.e. the player doesn't look weighty enough.. looks very light to control... Don't know how best to describe what I mean. Otherwise it does look good.. however it does look a bit linear and AI looks super dumb @04:05. Are you sure you were playing this on hard mode ?

I played fallen order and finished it. Here is my review.
Fallen order is basically a mix of uncharted, metro, and dark souls 3 mixed into a starwars universe.
It has a good solid story, nothing to amazing but it's a strong and clear one that has had some real thought while being developed.
It's a graphical masterpease, it all looks amazing.
The character development is also great as you really feel your character becoming stronger with the force and as they progress throughout the story, that they develop emotionally as well. Character development and story are good and in sinc with each other and both make you feel and understand the story.
The game play is very solid as you will find more ways to find, in one occasion which I will not spoil, your fighting style can change drastically as you see fit, combining 2 forms of fighting to create a third one. This has to do with a modification for your lightsaber but I'll leave it at that.
The fighting mechanics feel good and fluent and don't get in your way at all. As long as you time all of it right you can practically 1 to 3 hit anything. It feels like proper, desent and never before done lightsaber combat. There is no game that displays lightsabers as well as this one does, and it feels amazing.
The force is your ally and you use it in combat regularly. Again, this does not get in your way and does not feel weird at all. It feels like it belongs and you truly use the force as what it should be, an extention of yourself and not an extra mechanic that just gets thrown in. All abilities feel good, useful and natural in combat.
The level design is great and well thought of. Not to much to say about it. It's very good, interactive, gives the proper feel, fits the atmosphere and looks very impressive.
Now, the downsides.
After you finish the story and you have visited most locations, the game gets linear. The enemy won't suprice you, paths feel known and not as a chalanging, grinding becomes harder as enemy presence becomes linear and groups get hard to find.
The lacking of other force abilities is small but present. For instance, force grip isn't a thing, it's now force pull which just doesn't feel the same. This would be the only thing I found lacking, the rest is desent or better.
Overal a very long awaited, good and solid game in every way, it just get linear after finishing but that's logical and understandable. Buy it, play it love it and may the force be with you.
Also to note, EA did not interfere in the development of fallen order, they just take credit for a story they only funded. EA does not redeem itself by doing this, since the community didn't give them much choice. EA also stated that life services will become even more seen in the upcoming titles because the community "loves it" and "wants it".
Fallen order is a set example for EA. Either way they would screw themselfs over.
Way 1, the game would be multiplay, in game transactions would be in there and a bad story single and multi-player wise.
In this case players would not buy the game anymore and Disney would seize the EA deal (they made it known).
Way number 2, the one we have.
This game go's against all EA claims to stand for. It is single player, it is story driven, it has no other transactions then just buying the game. EA however claims that players want multi-player, micro transaction containing, non single player games with no to bad for a story.
In this case we prove EA wrong. Hate was there for their games in the starwars franchise because of EA's habits. Now they step out of their ways and suddenly they get love. This kicks their asses to say the least since they hereby proved themselfs wrong, and eveytime they say we like what they do the world knows its not true and wrong.

One thing I wanna add is that the loading times are really long. It's literally a black screen and it's annoying , so much so that I almost was put off the game , but that's just me being nit picky the games really g so far

I'm at the final section before the final boss, played exclusively on Jedi Grand Master difficulty, and it's not even that hard if you're accustomed to games like God of War, Dark Souls, Sekiro, etc. The game is great and I was not ever hoping in a good star wars game. Respawn deserve all the praise and I hope they will be running for GOTY in 2020.
But God of War is super easy compared to Fallen Order and Dark Souls...
