I do but it's not clear why you didn't run the power through the SP107E. Does it change or drop the voltage?
Hey man just saw your project and its killer, easy and doable by anyone, I'm 40 years old u can judge me but I'm gaming freak and constantly upgrade my gaming rig. Now I wanted to replicate your project but X3 times I wanted the VU to be exactly the size of my desk, and I want the height 10 less more so u used 20 I wanted to use 30. My config would be like this Segment will be 45 & pixels/segmants will be 30. Thants 1350 leds or simply saying 4.5 WS2812B. Now I have 2 question 1st I don't wanna use power bank and instead wanna use charger that use home supply and convert it to 5v output, So what I use I have extra server power supply's 750 watts but there output are +12v 62.5A / +12Vsb 3.0A or can you suggest me any thing else or a mobile charger or RO power supply or laptop one. And my 2nd and the main question is about SP107E Bluetooth, can this handle 4.5 led packs or I have to use different one or multiple of these, if multiple of these how the wiring will be done.

and i wanna connect it with my PC my board has inbuild Bluetooth so I hope the software connect to the Bluetooth too as now you can almost run android apps on windows, I'm running a lot now days

Why are you connecting red wire over the module? Is there not power output in the back?
What kind of power supply do i need? i got the 5 meter (300 LED) strips and SP107e.

This controller SP107 is not suitable for use in spectrum analyzers, if it is tested using frequency sound the lights turn on incorrectly. I think it's better to use it as a vu meter. But nice video...👍
if you set the sensitive lower, the frequency will match much better, I saw your video, they are so cool, well done!

I like the idea of building one of these things, But from what i see in the videos, the music is not accurate to the leds.. is there latency? I'm looking for something that is very accurate.. is the video and sound just not accurate in this video ? The VU meters etc i have built with out uC ( using LM series chips ) they are much more accurate... can you explain to me how it can be made more accurate please,, thanks..
There is a delay, not sure what you can do about it.
other reviews have shown with a frequency generator this controller is not reactive by frequency. It is just randomly lighting the strips. It will work for a VU meter but not a "spectrum display."
Just one question... LEDs are connected in parallel altogether yet you can control all LEDs individually,how?
you missed one important LED Pin These are ARGB LEDs this can change color through data signal. Here the middle pin is the data signal :)

The Chord App generates the serial data string based on #segments/pixels (the model). Then each pixel takes its part off (instruction on color and brightness) and sends the rest of the data string to the next pixel. True for any Pixel controller.

Hi sir, I am using ws2811 with sp107e. But pixel colour doesn't match with led chord. Matrix also not working properly. I had checked all connections and seg/pixel settings. Plz help
If you set ws.. in the controller then it can control any ws2811 or ws2812 leds.
But before powering make sure what powering voltage you are using...
Isn’t 5V 2.1A too low? According to your stats 15*20= 300 LED’s and if each LED is at 0.3W thats a total of 90W And since you are using 5V that means 90/5= 18A there is a big difference between 18A and 2.1A...
Agree, but that would be all lights on at the same time on full brightness and white. I didn't see it, but there is usually a setting for percent of brightness like 30%. That's how this works without smoke.

You can use 22 AWG but 18/20 AWG would be better. You can also use 4-pin LED Strip jumpers - no soldering required.

Sure, but you'll need to power inject every 2-3 strands. that means directly connect from one or more power supplies. Keep in mind that each LED drops the voltage until they don't work right, so measure it after 2,3,4 strands to see what it will pass to the next one. The data line should be okay
I am hooking it up the same way and it's not working like that one the data to the data the red to the red in the white of the white all the way around
Cool. Im going to try and make one of these following your directions. Need to buy a soldering gun. Should be interesting. So one controller and/or power supply can do up to 2000 led's? So I could go higher, or longer (wider)?
Use a 5v 60A good power supply and ws2812 LEDs. And you are good to go 😌

Yes there will be a ac input plug and dc output from the power supply
@@Creativecreator Ok, cool. I just watched a video on it. Also, one more dumb question. The RGB wires you loop connecting the led strips and soldering. I only can find the 4 part wire rgbw. Do you just strip off the white cord, or is there strictly 3 line wire(RGB) without the white?
@@Chrisicola no bro that is a different kind of rgb led. You will need specifically ws2812 leds. Those has 3 pins middle pin is data and corner pins are gnd and +ve
And yeah you have to connect then chain wise.

Both are possible 😊
Is it working with music? And music must be played on mobile which is connected with that box?
This has 2 options
You can connect your phone with the device with 3.5mm jack
Or
You can use the device's internal microphone to sync the audio.(i have not connected with 3.5mm jack i used the device's internal mic.)

you can, just would have to run power every few meters of LED strip. It can do up to 2000 LEDs at a time off a single controller.

@@YaxaSRI no bro you have to set how much led you want to run. Suppose you are connecting 50 leds in a row so you will add 50 leds on the Android app (LED chord) that's it.
hi, the sp107e does not work as a musical spectrum analyzer for multiple frequencies! they sell musical spectrum analyzers with 7 bass to treble outputs to connect the led
