I needed this reminder. I'm getting old and I'm sick, so staying with my son for awhile takes it's toll on me. I get cranky and mumble about my son sometimes. You have reminded me of being careful of what I say and think. I'm truly grateful to my son for letting me stay with him during the cold weather and to heal from the last bout of COVID. I don't heal very well and even though COVID was gone, I was still coughing months later. I need to be thankful and not stress myself over him. It isn't easy for him to live with me either.
Edit: Thank you all for your kind words and support. It means a lot to me. Things are going better with my son and I'm trying to work on my health as well. Again, thanks so much for your encouragement and well wishes.
Another Edit: Thank you all for good wishes and to those who prayed if you did so. My covid cough is finally gone and I'm working on my blood sugar levels. They are getting lower and I'm feeling better. My son is doing well also and has recently got his driver's license. He is working on future goals and I am proud of him.

When I was a soldier, I always tried to handle things with good humor and let gossip go to die in my office. People needed to vent, and I let them, and I kept it to myself. It really does come back around and bless you when you do these simple things.

This video shared to me by my wife, I am in a dark place and have been for a long time I have lost my path and become very negative, I am not Navajo but I needed to hear this wisdom, I just wanted to thank you for wisdom, it came to me when I most needed it. I find it interesting that his teachings line up with the Bible.
When I first became a Christian, I believed that the Great Spirit or Creator was the same Spirit of the Living God spoken of in the scriptures. I was told, no. Clearly, they are one and the same.
I've since learned that one Native American one leader (who's name and family i cannot recall) climbed a mountain to fast and pray to the Creator for his people who were struggling with a sickness they hadn't seen before. The Creator showed him a vision of his son dying on a cross, saying his son took their sicknesses on himself.
The story is in a book called, "That's What The Old Ones Say," by Chief Joseph RiverWind. I've given away my last copy, so I can't reference it for accuracy.
Sadly, we so-called christians tend to follow a preacher rather than Christ. As we're finally beginning to see, too many of those preachers are also not following Jesus.

I gain no pleasure in losing my composure with those who try me because it is a failure on my journey on the Beauty Way. The Journey is a narrow path. As narrow as a Razor's Edge. I'm on the same path after reaching my most negative in 2023 because of grief. It feels so good to be positive, you end up seeing beauty everywhere, being negative all the time takes a tool on your mind and body.
My mother's mother that I can't stand is guilty of this, she reflexively lifts up evil. Every time she speaks it's end times this and end times that. I don't allow it in my life. She put fear in me as a child, I cast it off.
This man is a treasure. A wealth of knowledge and wisdom. These are the elders we should all be listening to and cherishing.
I'm guilty! I'm going to try hard to change 🙏

@@silvercloud1641 I don't know if he did that, but he walked on water & fed huge crowds with small amounts of food. Jesus was an observer in a Tibetan (Tantric, same as Mongolian) Buddhist monastery prior to His public ministry. There are some videos on YT about this & I have to find them again.
Anyway, did you know sand paintings also come from Tantric Buddhism? Yes. The Dalai Lama is skilled in their interpretation. Also our shamanic traditional origins precede Buddhism via the first known religion on Earth known as Buun.
I'm a Catholic myself, convert since 1996, as Protestantism never worked & now I know why: ancestry. I'm from the Hunnu (Xiong-nu in Old Mandarin) Tribe, Mongolia, dad was Hungarian. My mom is white, German Saxon. There's a running joke about this in Mongolia but You Tube will wipe my comment for being racist 🙄 if I tell it. My Tibetan roots I know very little about but what photos I did see of Mongols still living there astonished me. It was like looking in the mirror! If you are OK with it, please tell me a bit about your heritage. Since I was a toddler I always felt close to Native Americans & most of us are interrelated, going back some 30,000 years! The Tibetan Book of the Dead seems more detailed about the possible after life/death versus The Bible. I'm currently reading more into Taoism which seems to be more based on a natural view of things and without any need for mythological unobservable flying spaghetti monsters in the sky. More of a philosophy than religion. Everything is part of the Tao/God/nature. ☯ I wish you the best on your path.

The Great Spirit will subdue the Evil One. I live in Utah and I'll never forget when I met a Navajo. When he was speaking in his native tongue I strangely understood some of it as if I heard that language in the ancient past. Utah four corners has a magical feel like you are going somewhere in middle earth like Hobbiton.
You remind me of my abuelo who died away. His mother was Navajo and his father was Hispanic. He always said to be positive and to think and speak positively. I miss him greatly.

Thank you. Amazing how Truth resonates. As a Christian, the idea of not speaking ill of others or frivolously is enshrined in the teaching of Jesus Christ. Praise be to our God, Creator, Father, Who wants all of us to walk in His love.
I believe it is important to define specifically what is meant by negative speech.
To me, negative speech harms, such as gossip, lies, and passive aggression. These are very unhealthy to take part in, and they take us away from beauty.
This is a tough thing to live by in American society because people who lie and gossip do sonetimes target those who do not partake because they feel threatened.
So to walk in beauty, we may need to walk alone.

I was also thinking today how it’s becoming evident in modern popular culture such as in ghost hunting, that the example these people set for others and sometimes even their own children is attracting the attention of the Evil one.
It doesn’t even seem to make a difference if these people display honesty and kindness, the path they set up with interest in these negative curiosities appears spiritually dangerous for themselves and likely more so for these younger generations with less life experience.
I would like to hear your wisdom on what happens to people following these false paths of curiosity all the way into the here after.

one of the most important lessons shared on your channel. I have made considerable strides in minimizing this habit learned from upbringing, it's truly like opening a portal to something insidious. because these negative thoughts are so infrequent, when I do have a bad day and say something unkind it's a lot more palpably disgusting. it's really important to remove oneself from environments incubating this behavior, whether its from another person, workplace or activity. my life has been dramatically improved, and thanks for reminding me to continue down this path.
Yep👍 speaking about negative family dynamics is the way to preserve and protect future generations. Abuse that is physically or emotionally damaging is evil, wrong, must be spoken of out loud so that others are alerted and warned. Abuse that damages children and young people should never be hidden or silenced. Only when we speak out loud can we support and protect the damaged and neglected. We have to use our words

My great grandmother was Native American, adopted by my Scottish ancestors who found her as a baby in Missouri while traveling to Oklahoma in a wagon train.
Another Native American woman was the wife of another ancestor in Oklahoma. We have no information other than a picture, and writing on the back that she was an ancestor's wife.
It's important to me to learn more about Native Americans and their beliefs.
Past few yrs have been hard lots of people lost jobs lent out most my savings to friends family feel like a old fool now but at least we still here things will get better they better

Wonderful wisdoms relating all the way back to the experience of the first world were carried from ancient Babel by the scattered clans of Man. Those clans which somehow managed to retain their spirituality must be carefully studied, for those wisdoms are ancient memories which reveal unseen realities we should be foolish to discount.

Nearly impossible... but for me if I can focus on the lessons and wisdom gained, the silver lining in the cloud, I can find appreciation. Even when I don't appreciate the grown up"s, person or systems lack of accountability.
I dont hold resentment, but they've shown themselves unworthy of continuing on with me. I will not lower my standards to put up with their disrespect. They'll have to earn my trust, respect. And forgiveness with accountability, actions words and deeds.

I know it’s been said by many as I’ve read through some comments but I felt compelled to add that this came to me right when I needed it. I vent a lot these days and I find myself actually saying my negative thoughts aloud when I’m alone. It’s become a habit and I’m going to stop doing it. I’m better than that. I was raised to be better than that. I’m so sorry for the negative energy I’ve brought into the world. I’m going to be better than that again starting right now.

I’ve always felt drawn to Native American teachings and ways of living. I especially feel the connection to Buddhist beliefs here. And I hear “be impeccable I’m your word” as in “The Four Agreements” (Toltec). All true knowledge seems to echo these same core beliefs. 🙏🏼

I have been guilty of reacting with negative words, in response to negative actions thought to be good, but used to harm those seen as being evil. There is a lot of fake good action hiding evil intent towards people seen as evil. There are many who enforce good, acting in a way that is encouraged, when it hides hate for people seen as taking evil word action.
We play God too much, enforcing good, while being blind to the evil we help enforce behind the facade of good.
