A great video! Halifax is entering its golden age of growth after a period of stagnation. It's really exciting and contrasts well with other cities that do not have the variety of architectural styles and history. In the Summer of 2024 highly praised cities like Paris France are dealing with so many issues that come with being over crowded and over sold. Add an Olympic Games and it's just an excessive amount of people in a fixed space. Paris is also vulnerable because of the attention it is getting and this creates challenges after the games are over. One is starting to see that with key additions Halifax will achieve real greatness, its own kind of world class. At the top of the list is a new art gallery, additional museum space, and an aquarium worthy of the city. Also a superior concert venue, opera house and concert place. Sport facilities must be added, designing them for flexibility. What is surprising is how good looking much of the privately developed high rise space is. Modern contrasts well with traditional! Now another challenge is affordable housing for everyone. Attainable housing that fits with the great look of a growing changing Halifax. With careful planning it is possible to have it all since momentum is on its side.
