Yeap, on Barrington St there is a Transit Bay one-bus-length from Cogswell Street - bus has to exit the curb; cross a through-lane; and make it into the left-turn lane. More standard driving practice for Halifax in the year of the Lord 2025. By the way the Route 7B bus could have been more convenientlt stops a block further back with the Routes 1 & 10 that also turn left on Cogswell, particularly as all 3 bus routes serve the same neighborhood. Once again Halifax planning departments to the rescue. Oh, wasn't our new mayor in the planning department years ago !!!
Halifax is becoming quite the looker. I can't wait for the 40 story towers in Dartmouth. I hope the twisted sisters are built one day and I hope they will be mega tall. GO HALIFAX GO!!!
Sorry about the late response. I was sure I responded already. The last time I was by that site it was not finished. That was about a week before your message. I want to get down there soon to check on the progress of that job.
Yeah, it looks so good there is a bicycle lane going up the hill - sort-of. you just have to turn a block up onto Brunswick Street. Could be design so bicycle head toward the Citadel Hill (oh, Halifax has hills). Cogswell is one of the 3 lowest grades from Barrington St, so per City engineering bicycles should be directed toward hills. Excuse the sarcasm •
@weldonyoung1013 Maybe the civil engineers can go over to Montreal where bicycle infrastructure is taken seriously and learn a few things . Montreal proved that even here in snowy cold Canada people will cycle if there's bicycle infrastructure.
@kookamunga2458 only those city staff here that recently letf school would be capable of learning anything. And they are mostly assigned to very small projects. Thanks for the though, Halifax is just hopeless. Would suggest you look up the "Quantum Intersection" by Tristan Cleveland for the fun of it to truly see what Halifax streets are like.
thank you for all the great videos on the subject .much appreciated .
You're welcome, and thank you for the comment and watching. I really appreciate it.
WOW! It looks beautiful even though it's not finished!!!
I agree. Cleaning up the empty lots gives it a temporary finishing touch.
Major change, crazy great content.
Thank you. You're right. It's wild being able to see the casino from Barrington.

There are a lot of things that need to be done with routes and stops unfortunately.

Where and when are they thinking of doing those towers?
Is the Press Box finished?

At least we are far enough away from Doug Ford so he won't be able to rip up the new bike lanes going in there .
