Now that I’m back in the dating realm, this is the first TLC video I’ve seen in a couple of months. Completely done with the break up and “get your ex back” videos, and I must say, I am so appreciative of your help, Rory. We had a call where you suggested I “try all of the flavors,” and I have embraced that mentality. I’m moving forward with more confidence in myself and feel proud of the work I’ve put into my life, but having the community (discord) behind me during the really rough times was an invaluable support. Hey, you popped up on my notifications and I just wanted to say thank you. When I first started listening to you almost 3 yrs ago my fiancé had dumped me. I’d literally left my job in another country to be with him but he’d been cheating the entire time (found that out after the breakup) and broke up with me on Valentine’s Day. I was so distraught and depressed. I was looking at “How to get your ex back” videos when I came across you.
Your video on no contact was what made me stop hoping for a relationship with him and work on myself. I now have an amazing job, hobbies that I’m passionate about, a great apartment, and a cat that I’m obsessed with lol. Not only that I have a new loving boyfriend who truly cherishes me because I cherish myself now and don’t take scraps of effort and affection.

Holy cow Rory described my senior year of high school. I was part of Class of 21 and it SUCKED especially after a breakup. I’m a college freshmen now and for the first few weeks it was shit because I kept thinking about the “good times”. I kept with the self work and have been running treadmill twice a week two miles each and today I looked in the mirror and was surprised at the decrease in weight I had. (This took 13 weeks). People have been saying I look skinnier and I did not notice till this morning. I feel a lot more confident and the people that I’m attracted to came to me yesterday to strike up a conversation. This is a weird time…it’s a hard time..but gosh darn it guys and gals we are still here! And we’ll keep pushing! Thanks again Rory.

Just trying apps for the first time (yes, due to covid) and it sucks.....
I feel like social media kind of ruined my relationship. My ex is conventionally pretty, but she was introverted and didn't use social media that much. In the pandemic, she started using it more and more and she... changed? She became extremely extroverted and started behaving like a teenager, though she's a couple of years older than me. After getting a LOT of attention from other guys, she left me after 6 years of relationship because I wasn't "good enough" for her and she didn't love me anymore... But i've always been the same. Shit is really intoxicating.
It's not social media though, it was her choice. Maybe she feels like she missed out on something.. whatever it is.. she's a grown up. Don't make excuses for her. And I'm really sorry to hear that.
Maybe she left cause you always been the same. More power to you bro!

Well i think there are people you became friends/ romantic partners because of life circumstances( u went same school/uni or even office ) and they are other group of friends/ romantic partners who are actually “ outsiders “ but they still want to be in your life the same way as u. And I have lived different countries and cities , and I can definitely say that friends or partners you make by choice not circumstances, are the most strong connections I have ever had. Once the circumstance that connected you in the first place is lost ,there is a high chance you stop talking after few months or years.
