    After watching this video a recently I decided I finally have to get a quad. Built a QAV400 with CC3D. Just did the maiden today! It's flying really well even before doing any tuning.
    Thanks for all the awesome videos!

    That's amazing. Really nice flying. Cutting through the trees, one of the best I've seen.

    Wow. That was the most entertaining quad video that I've ever seen! It had about everything in it, speed, obstacles, flips, rolls and I about sharded myself when you went through those trees for the first time! Well done!

    This has always been one of my favorite videos. Every time I watch it, I say to myself "Don't do it, don't do it...." right before you duck behind the trees or fly under that structure.

    Thank you. I started flying quadcopters in Dec 2010. I always like the ones I am currently flying. ATM it is the QAV400 frame with an OpenPilot CC3D or Revo controlling it.

    I seldom post on youtube, but that set-up and skill level is mind blowing. Totally amazing. Best FPPV video I've seen. I'd love to see a detailed description of your set-up. I fly helicopters, but for the first time, seriously tempted by quads after seeing this video. Thanks for sharing.

    Gee, I feel I became a better multirotor pilot just watching this.....powerful! Really neat when reality is better than fantasy!!! This really set the ultimate goal much higher than I thought achievable. If I were you, I would talk to the film and special effect industries. They sure can use your amazing skills!!! Bravo!

    I've watched this 5 times now.. so cool! A fixed video camera somewhere on the "track" would be awesome for seeing the speed of the quad as it rushes by,, especially the close proximity stuff. Well done mate, great video.

  • @gittarpikk
    @gittarpikk 12 років тому

    So, in essence, its sort of like a heavier low pitch, large diameter heli...or a heavy high aspect ratio sloper... I liked the wide envelope...as I fly a light double delta of my design that will fly at a trot and run 60 in a flash...which I have flown fpv... but suffers from looking at the sky when it is halted in mid air.I could use a gyr'od tilt but don't want the weight... You've definately done a good job at making a quad scat!

  • @juz70
    @juz70  12 років тому

    good pickup about the tilt. My cameras are fixed. The "trick" here is the weight of the machine. The weight helps it go fast without having to pitch forward much. Heavier quads are better for fast FPV flight. With light powerful quads, you end up staring at the ground if you want to go quick.

  • @AzzaTwirre
    @AzzaTwirre 12 років тому

    Great video, best flying around right now. Seems iike you're struggling to find new limits to push now. Flaming hoops may be required. I'd love to see you hoon around a big shopping centre after hours. Or the aisles and checkouts of a supermarket. Never know, Westfield might even pay for an action-packed tour of one of their joints. Get Red Bull to sponsor you to all the awesomest places in the country? Surely you could live off your skill-level in this rapidly exploding hobby...

    Do the Graupner e-props you use contain 4mm spacers? I see you use the NTM motors and their shafts are 4mm so I was wondering because right now I use the APC hobbyking knock off props and they come with the 4mm collars but they don't fit the propellers so it's impossible to balance them. I have had to make my own collars for them and it sucks! Thanks for your help and your flying skills are insane bro...keep the videos coming please!

    Wow, very impressive. I just started flying quads and learning how to fly with the front facing me. Would getting an FPV setup help me fly it like you or would I need to put in the time without FPV to fly it like a plane. I'm a very calculated flyer who does not have the time to fix my quad as a I crash it while learning. So any advice is helpful. Thanks so much.

So far I have only tested with a separate FPV TX & RX and havent really used the built-in RX &TX that comes with it because the TX can only power a 5v cam and all my little cams are all 12v. I did connect 1 of my 12v cams with a seperate pwr source and it did good briefly but I have a bug to work out!Watched a movie & it ROX
