So, you modified the car before you broke it in? and your not following any break in specs at all from what I can tell.
It is supposed to be uinder4k rpms for the first 600 miles, no hard braking and a mix of driving, then drop the oil and continue break in until you are comfortable, Acura says 600 miles, I went 1500 with mine.
these engines can; last forever if you take care of them, but you need to be careful or mindful when breaking in a new car.
Look at Que the chaotic car or others with issues like this, demo cars that had been test driven a lot, no break in people revving them up when brand new and now they have oil leaks, issues and who knows what down the road.
Ill definitely be interested to follow along with this one.

The newer Type S and Type R are kinda lame in my opinion... The are fun sporty cars with comfort, and a good daily driver, but they are NOTHING like the Honda's of old sadly. No high-rpm, no top end, super lazy shifting from the clutch delay valve(which is one of the most annoying things about these cars) and just no raw feel at all... And of course, the biggest issue I have is the insane price these things cost. No fwd 4-cylinder car is worth $60,000 in my opinion. Not even close. I would be hard-pressed to pay even $40k for one of these cars. The value is just not there, especially when there are so many better options at that similar 50-70k price point.

@1BlinkwithAngels82 bud you are talking to someone who owns a motorsports company and builds Hondas for a living... You have no clue what you are talking about. No offense.

@1BlinkwithAngels82 What are u even talking about? I'm telling you, I work on these cars for a living. I own an Fk8. I think maybe you are just defensive, because I am not a huge fan of these cars. I find your comments incredibly passive aggressive and strange. Nothing I said in my original comment is wrong. It's my opinion. There are a lot of great manual 4-door sports cars in the same price point and performance category. In my opinion, it's a terrible value.

@@ZWortek I've been suubbed to this channel from day 1. I saw he's been reviewing and showing off the car n mods. I simply gave my opinion that I am not a fan of the car. If you go back on all his different car vids. I've given my opinion on his different cars n different mods. Some good, some bad. It's called having an opinion. If a critical opinion on something gets you this defensive, maybe you should stop reading comments. 😅

@1BlinkwithAngels82 defensive of what? What am I being defensive over? I left my opinion of the car, u proceed to start insulting me for some odd reason. Where have I insulted you? I simply gave my opinion and clarified that I work on these cars for a living so that you understand, I know these cars, and the market very well. If I was getting defensive, I would have started hurling insults and stooped to your level. I did not. Maybe you are younger? I don't use UA-cam much. I'm old. I have a couple car channels I follow on here, and I'll check in every so often so I can support the channel by leaving a comment 😀

@1BlinkwithAngels82 there's nothing to talk about. I am not a fan of these cars, and I think they are poor value the price. There are a ton of cars I'd rather have for the money. Heck, my son has the GR Corolla. Paid $38k out the door. Car is a great value. Hard AWD launches and raw driving experience. 4 doors. Very affordable and fun car.

you should of bought an IS500 v8 instead of that 4 banger .

If I wanted a V8, I would get back into an E92 M3. I owned one before that I supercharged and that S65 engine sounds glorious! Plus I wanted a manual transmission, so the IS500 is out of the question. It looks nice, but it’s not what I’m looking for. I’ve been through a ton of cars, and before I used to chased power; but now I’m more about what connects with me and offers a great driving experience. The Integra Type S hit the spot when I test drove it. Before I had a CT4-V Blackwing…if it was just about power, then that would be the car for me compared to the IS500. But I’m not chasing power anymore. Heck my next car I want is a 5th gen Honda Prelude lol. My first car ever was a ’97 Prelude and would love to get another clean example one in a manual. People buy cars for different reasons so it’s highly subjective anyway. I just have an attachment to certain types of cars.

@DrivenDistrict you just confirmed how you don't know nothing about cars . Lol a BMW that thing is a money pit don't care how fast it is . My IS500 will outlast it for decades to come and maintain more value while at it .

I think it's the other way around considering you totally missed the point of me wanting a manual car, and you came back with an ego trip and talking about how your IS500 will out last a BMW (completely moot point). I buy cars that I enjoy. I've been through 20+ cars, I don't hold on to cars long. Nothing i said was defensive against you yet you come back just childishly hating for no reason. I literally said how the IS500 is a good looking car 😂 just not for me. I would take an M3, Blackwing etc. over it since I prefer manual. Funny because your first comment just said I should have bought an IS500 with no mention of you owning it...then your second comment you say you own one. Seems like you can't accept if someone doesn't like the same car as you? You must be fun at car meets 🙄

@@JesusIsGod222 Not everybody likes the same cars and not everybody has reliability as a top priority when shopping for a car. Alot of us don't keep our cars long enough to care about reliability.

So many better performance car than the IS500.
Oh, and did you forget than the IS500 is an auto? Integra Type S being a manual only is such a big win.
