Wow. What a big baby. The pull was probably the best I have seen on youtube. How he worked with the moms and pulled when she pushed instead of pulling it straight out.
Great video. Your Dad would make a great Teacher.
Your Dad would make a great vet. I like the way he help the mom he was not aggressive pooling the calf he just let the mom do all the pushing he only help a little. So so nice of hem respecting a animal :)
Calf pulling equipment
Cole, you are blessed with a Great Father ! Make sure to let him know that you are thankful for all of the Knowledge that he shares with you. Love the Father son bond !
Real interesting for someone who isn't a farmer. I have seen caving before but not a difficult one delivered like this. You guys really do have to know it all. From welding to delivery. Whole new appreciation for what you do!!! Great video. Thanks!!!
Gentle pull . As a woman I'm impressed. Its not usual to give them so much time . Thank you
Thanks!
“Sometimes it’s easier to retain it if you learn the hard way”. Couldn’t agree more! Nice pull & Great video gentlemen
Thank goodness you were there for her. Saved them both. Your Dad definitely knew what he was doing. I'm sure he has a mountain of knowledge to hand down to you. Also you both work very well together!. Enjoy your videos❤
Thanks!
I love hearing the wisdom passed down... even if it's all been said before! I call that "The wisdom of the white hair". Good job dad! I know your son is a smart one but sometimes we just want to help them avoid learning things the hard way!
Best one yet!😂 Big pat on the back to Dad!
Pay attention, your dad is a very wise man. You will learn from his experiences.
Thank God and country for youall and all farmers and cattlemen and women who feed us and the world. Bless America on this 4th of July 2-020!
97 pounds is crazy, don’t think I’d be keeping that bull. Calving season is always fun
You pulled the calf in a very professional way .you were slow ;you pulled when the heifer pushes so the heiffer does not suffer .
I appreciate it!
New sub here, clueless to farming but learned a lot. What I like about these videos is not only the hard work effort put into this, but also the compassion. I like the videos with your dad in it education by experiences. Cherish these moments...
I like the addition lately of your dad. Lots of knowledge. Glad the little (big) guy made alright!
Gentleman that was a master class demonstration of how to calve a cow using a calving stick, instead of the usual clowns that panic ratchet in a straight line and then wonder why they have a dead calf prolapsed cow possibly a trapped nerve and if she survives this ordeal struggles to get back in calf. Bull calves nearly always go full term .🇬🇧👍 p.s your farther gives good advice remember it well 👍
I came here to say this. Sometimes the person on the ratchet looks as though they're working a water pump, but that was lovely - you took your time and pulled with the heifer.
Cole, we were just talking about pulling calves! I can tell Brian knows his business. It can be studied all day, but until you live it you don't understand it. You do understand it - you have lived it! You do what must be done.
Nicest pull I've seen yet. Slow and gentle.
Thank you!
Your old man seems to be warming more and more to the UA-cam stuff. Love the videos mate, keep it up. Plus g’day from Australia
It’s like I’m hooked on a tv show. Came across one video and was fascinated and now I’m trying to watch all of them to get caught up and current. Love what you all are doing and love the chemistry between Cole and Brian. Keep doing the videos, teaching, drone video, and of course having fun.
I really enjoy listening to your dad. Great video thanks
I love the minisota vikings jokes 🤣
"Welcome to South Dakota" 😂😂
Your daddy is hilarious. Glad to see a channel with some cattle!!
Let's get Sonne Farms to 100k subs by the end of the month. Tell your friends and family. Great video.
Thank you!
You bet, your videos are so entertaining! They have inspired me to want to be a farmer as well. Love your channel. One question, when is your next video going to be?
@@shanehanson1381 March 16 at 4 pm central i have been told.
Cole u and ur dad r awesome together enjoy ur videos
Good on you dad nothing like a practical education and your son is a good listener. I was also taught my parents on a sheep dairy and beef farm over 64 years ago and alway stored there information in my brain it is still with me today. Good luck with the rest of your calving from new Zealand
You to are doing a great job showing and explaining the good and the bad of having cows and calves. Being able to watch things like that and have your dad to talk you through those tuff moments is priceless! He seems to be a very smart man and a good teacher. I’ve been around many different things when it comes to animals but I’m not a good teacher when it comes to helping others learn it.
many young ones come out of university think with big ego and looking down at jobs and hard works like this from above,i was like that too. Until i understood how toxic office and city life is. Life on farm teachs man real connection between nature and simplicity of survival. Also with its all sweat and hardness it brings special peace into soul as one doesnt have time to speculate and finaly can compare with that buzzy-ness (bizniss) out there. When listenin this father plus looking at his hands, color of his voice and sense of words...it is real treasure. This experience to start to comprehand it can be long process.
I'm so happy that y'all give the cow time to calf on her on‼️😎
Holy cow that was a big calf! That heifer was a trooper. Nice pull!
Love learning about the process, thanks!
Great to hear wisdom from your dad my father isn't around and my dad isn't into farming and ranching but I wanna start a small farm/ranch
Another great video! Thanks for taking the time to record and share your life.
That's the part nobody ever films. Thanks for taking the time to film it, we know you had your hands full at the time...literally!
Good video. I’ve only had to pull one calf in my little operation so it was good to see how you did it.
This is the best effing vid about ag I have ever seen! Just the right amount of education and the perfect amount of commentary. WOW Thank you Sonne Farms.
Thank you Ryan!
I agree good education video!
Wow! Great video, Cole. Your dad is very, very good at explaining things.
informative video, your dad and you really take good care of your cattle,I hope that the rest of your calving season goes trouble free.
Wow thanks for showing the calving was so awesome I thought it was really nice to see thanks have a great day
God I wish my dad was still around. You guys have the best relationship. Keep it up.
Mr. Sonne Sr. Thank You. 🇺🇸

A cow come-a-long and words of wisdom, quite the edgeamacation!
Really enjoyed your fathers insight ... man knows cattle
Your dad is a smart man. Great video.
Do you two always get along 😊 it's nice to father and son that work well together. Your learning at the same time we are 🇬🇧
Nicely done, gentle and controlled , well done
You gents make a fine team.
Love to see the faces my farm girl would be making during that, hug!! Nice learning experience for me, thanks!
Most informative, great video.
really good video very instructive and we really enjoyed it
We watched this video right before our first time heifer calved. Because of this video I knew what to do when she wasn’t able to calve on her own. He wasn’t quite 97 pounds but he was pushing 90. With a giant head. Thanks for your videos!
I'm envious of you and your dad both ,awsome stuff keep up the vids❤
Thank you Michael!
That was a gentle pull boys well done !!!
Very good video, very informative!
Your dad needs to do seminars. Not just on cattle but how to be a father.
Fred that is so nice of you to say!
Your videos bring back alot of memories. You have me hooked on your channel.
Thanks Dan, glad to hear!
*WOW! I grew up on a small farm, and never watched a calf puller in action! Cool!*
It’s nice to see the respect you and your Father have for each other.
Very interesting video‼️
I’m from Chicago and your Dad knows the Bears and Packers have die hard fans.
Difference is the people own the Packers in Wisconsin.
That was a humongous calf, wow so much to do on a farm.
Major respect I have for both of you knowing
so much 🙌🏻
That was a nice father-son moment at the end.
thanks for your time, learn something new thanks.
Thank you Bryan!
Hands on learning is always best way to learn ...no school books can teach that method
Great video! Words of wisdom from Brian. I have lost a couple of cows and calves this spring. Learning the hard way. I was raised around cows on my grandparents farm and was away from it for many years. Last year I was able to purchase that farm and am starting up a small cow/calf operation. The day you loose one are tough but you keep going.
Glad you could buy the farm! Good luck to you!
@@SonneFarms Thanks I appreciate it.
Looks like Cole came home for his education.
Like father like son, huh😁
Awesome awesome video, keep 'em coming
Awesome video!!
Wow. First time I watched this video. Brian, you showed tremendous skill pulling the calf. You coordinated with the cow’s contractions, pulling when she pushed, and didn’t hurry. I’ve seen people who just winch the calf out as fast as they can. Hurts the cow. Your way is so much better. 👍👍👍
You think Michael Bloomberg could have done that? .... Great job men.
Video's from Farmers need to be sent to the President so that he can show the likes of people like mini-Mike just how hard Farmers actually do work. This was awesome. Brought back a few good memories. We also used to breed and raise rabbits. Now that was interesting - to say the least.
Not Bloomberg or Biden!
Bloomberg do that? Heck the calf is as big as he is... So, I say he wouldn't have any chance. Plus he'd have to redo his manicure and I'm sure he wouldn't do that.
Really interesting one today, seeing how that calf is pulled and the patience it takes. Terrific video. Will you have some pairs of your own again this year?
Great job! Can't wait to see those magnitude calves. Go Pat's
Thanks guys.
I absolutely love your Chanel can’t get enough
Glad to hear that Shirley!
Great job guys
Definitely a man who knew what's he's doing. Great job there Brian.

“See with your fingers not your eyes” is a quote that comes to mind.
FoxAcresFarm i totally get it, note my name.
Yup that was a big calf...reminds me of last year from our heifers the smallest s 94lbs biggest as 104lbs thank God we only had 8 heifers last year...good luck with the rest of your calving and keep up with the videos
Good job that was a big calf they all look great
Good job, guys.
Your very respectful to you dad nice kid I like that one thing would drive me crazy is all the mud god I'd be having a tantrum lol hard work you guy do god bless the farmer
Yes we have dealt with this mud for so long! We wish we had better conditions for our cows and so that is why we try to get the close up ones in the barns. I have never worked harder to keep our cows happy but we keep trying to do all we can.
Nice job fellas
That was amazing.
