Hi,thank you for pressure tip. Really appreciated, I was concerned about right pressure in inner tube. By the way, what about the use of slime sealant? How could I put it inside inner tube? I have to unmount the valve? Thanks :)
Seriously it's not that hard! You need to let down the tyre and remove the valve core for which slime provide the tool on the bottle cap! Then use the plastic tube also provided with the slime to connect the bottle with the valve and holding the slim top down or as near as possible squeeze in the appropriate amount of slime, this of course will very with tyre size, removing the tube clean the inside of the valve with a tissue or something like and screw back in the core and re- inflate the tyre. If you have a puncture spin the wheel to allow the sealant to get to the hole and seal it, and then it's job done! 👍🏻
Your advices are opposite to my experience with M365. I have 700km on the counter. All those time I had Kers set to "Strong" and use it for breaking. No problem whatsoever. Scooter is 2 years old. Also I maintain 4 Bar pressure in tires and never got flat tyre.
In electric cars they usually recommend not charging past 80 percent because energy regeneration usually fills up the battery even more. Some cars are set to only charge to 80 or even 94 percent and then turns charging OFF. You would have to unplug and replug the car in if you wanted to get to 100 which they don't recommend you do. Usually there is a reserve charge left so you don't get stranded somewhere when the screen tells you there is about 10 km's left before you run out of power.
Some cars like Tesla can stop charging at a certain amount, people can always unplug from the charger and plug it in again but it is not recommended to charge to 100 percent. Regenerative Braking will add more power to the battery so if you charge to 100 percent this could overfill the batteries if it just degrades them and shortens their lifespan or worse is up to you. Suggest you ask the MFG of any electric car you own.
TekReviews You do realize at the moment you begin driving you use electricity and you will no longer be at 100%. This is no perpetual motion machine, you cannot regain more charge than you use and less you happen to be going down a very steep hill.

Hi there. I’d like to install slime as you suggest. My local bike shop says the valves on my new M365 are non-standard. They are not Shraeder vales. Would you know the name of the type of valve installed - and what tool you need to extract them? Thanks
Really? They must have changed them as all the values I've seen are standard and the lid of the Slime bottle you flip it around insert and remove the value and fill it up.
Tire sealant didn't work for me. I got a flat within first week of use. Could have been a pinch flat, im not sure but it's very near the metal pin where you put the air in. I brought it to a shop and had them fix it. I put sealant after this and expected everything to be ok but after just a few days my tire blew again, this time spraying the pink sealant everywhere. When i opened up the tire i found that it was like the first hole ripped open and created a bigger hole. So anyway, i feel that this has something to do with how the metal pin in positioned that im always getting flats. I ordered full rubber tires so i dont have to deal with this annoyance anymore.
Sounds like bad luck, maybe a tube defect or tire pressure too low or high? So far I've been fine. But I use around 2.5 to 3 bar in the tires of pressure so quite hard to stop pinch flats. But if I ever do have issues I will go with the solid rubber ones. Am I just worried they will be far too hard the ride? We have some really 3rd world paths and roads here in Spain that are so bumpy!
TechTablets.com will let you know how smooth the ride is when i get the tires. But riding on pneumatic tires aren't the most comfortable really. All annoyances aside i love this thing. Made commuting so much easier! Good job on the reviews! Keep it up!
TechTablets.com got my solid rubber tires btw! Took about 10 days to get here to the phils from Hong Kong. They are light but solid, about 250 grams per tire and they make the ride slightly uncomfortable. I can now feel every bump and hole on the road. I wish the xiaomi had some sort of springs but im happy i dont have to worry about flats anymore.

One think though, what is the best way to conserve the battery life when charging? I would be cautious about rain, after all its electrical and those things don't mix, however it's not so much the battery as the controller and the throttle which I'd be concerned with, you can but silicone covers for the Xiaomi control panel on the handlebar, but the throttle is a bit more of a problem.

Owner of M365 here, I've had this scooter for a week now clocking in 200 miles already and I live in LA. I ride like no tomorrow and have yet to get a flat. Maybe because I have sharp eyes or the fact I've been riding a bicycle everyday for the past 13 years. Either way you have to pay attention to the road and don't floor it even if its a straight road because like the guy in the video said 2nd day and a thorn in the tire. Reason why not to floor it because 1) crashing at 15 mph will hurt like a bitch 2) no time to react to a car pulling out of a driveway 3) draining the battery quickly in the long run kill it or over heat the motor. Also to keep your chances low on getting a flat is max inflating your tires. Personally I inflate to 65psi because 1) i have the least resistance 2) you less likely to get it puncture because the tire "harder" 3) because I'm fat, I weigh 220lbs or 100kg (not really but still better safe than sorry) At a load of 50-70kg: the front wheel is 35-40psi, the rear wheel is 40-50psi. Hey there Chris ,i just bought this M365 for my son ,do you have a tip concerning security ..what type of lock can i use to securly lock this scooter on the public road?
I have a XT2 electric scooter mine has power through it after a few seconds of me riding it, it dies but then after a few seconds it runs again I am using a new battery any tips please would this be my weight or would this be my controller box
You are giving very bad advice to put slime in front motorised wheel. The motor is weight sensitive and will severely underperform. I experienced this no thanks to this crap advice. Luckily I changed inner tube and refilled with air otherwise motor would eventually overheat and get damaged. Brushless motors are very sensitive to weight!
Not a good point.we use brushless motors to spin all kinds of weight like large airplane propellers, electric skateboard wheels, heavier solid scooter tires..shouldn't be any problems as long as the weigh is balanced..if you put the correct amount of slime it should coat the inner tube evenly around when you spin the wheels...its not about weight sensitive.its about balance sensitive.
I also missed out on the previous version of the Ninebot app, the latest version has a white screen only and no dark blue screen, less appealing in my opinion
@@Bergwacht The rear wheel, unlike many bicycles, is difficult to remove. You would have to be prepared with the correct tools in order to remove it. If you're that prepared, you're taking my scooter regardless of any efforts I take to prevent you.
Can you show us how you were able to remove the valve /pin in the front tyre to put the slime in? I've seen that the slime bottle cap which doubles as a removal tool, doesn't fit the front wheel. Thanks.
Hi noob quick question. do you think it is okay to charge the scooter even if it's not empty? or it is just fine to charge it? does the effect the same?
Yes, but its a big mod. There is a Russian guy that has done this, but he put in a new controller, batteries, different charge plug etc and even painted his bright red lol. Channel is called MINI, I don't understand Russain so not sure what's involved.
Be careful about trying to work with him. He sells lots of modifications, but if you only speak english or want to buy from him and you are outside of Russia he wont actually post anything to you.
Did you just say 'Here in Spain'... am gonna buy one of these in the next couple of months and am living in Madrid... my concern is the heat. Have you been using this during the summer in Spain ?
Hey, good video ! Does anyone have issue connection by bluetooth with MI HOME ? I have Iphone and Xiaomi note 4, and can connect sometimes, idk why.. Can you help me?
Hey Chris, already saw your reviews about mi5 and mi5s, in your opinion is it worth to give the extra $$ to buy the 5s ? (I really like the build quality of the 5s from what you described) , also the prices on gearbest best are super low for the mi5 (195 euro +-) but i wont mind to wait for a good 5s discount ! Thanks in advance !
If you lowered the pressures to 2.5bars you'll get a flat tire easily. The same happens to road bicycles. It's not a matter of personal preference. The ride is harder but it has no suspension system. What did you expect? Follow the instructions.
You mean overvolt it :) Apparently, some Russian UA-cam guy has done that, new 48v controller or something to get more top speed and better acceleration. But it would half the range of it.
I agree with you, everyone is on the kick of unlocking the firmware to increase top speed, but obviously this will have a direct effect on battery and distance between charges, if you want to go faster! Buy a bigger more powerful one
So how come you are only getting such low range when another owner of one of these is regularly getting over 20 km? Could it be the low tire pressures causing your lack of range. He gives a good kick to get it going as well so perhaps that is also an issue but upwards of over 7 km difference that's a lot.
@@ballstank3904 I actually ended up buying one of these scooters the pro, and it's a nice scooter the front locking mechanism started to creak which is odd, but I discovered it's because the joints are dry, by putting a little light grease on the joints the creaking vanished. As for the range I find this scooter odd, you do some short trips the battery drops a little you stick it on charge but if you haven't used enough battery the charger goes funny odd, and then when you ride the battery drops quicker, but if you drain the battery down a lot it then charges fine again. It's odd. Sticking with range, I found slightly over inflating the tires increases range and acceleration a little.
@@flitsies i bought the standard m365. I dont plan on going on long trips in my city so couldnt really justify the extra $150 dollars for the pro. From a lot of reviews that noise you hear is a common problem. People put some silicone thing in there to take up the slack...kinda makes it tighter. But ive yet to experience any of this. As for tyre pressure its like a double edge sword. Higher tyre pressure you will have better acceleration and maybe top speed as theres less touching the ground and easier to roll but then you will sacrifice ride comfort......bloody loving these scooters. Saving money on ubers and no longer cracking a sweat when i previously needed to walk somewhere.
In your initial review you did share that you have not payed any customs taxes. If I am not mistaking EU-Spain VAT rates are 21%. Why did it not go true customs/VAT taxes? What kind of shipping did they use? I am considering buying one only because of your review (also Xiaomi fanboy), but 20% VAT (over the 450USD value for BG) is too much for me and my wallet.
eng. Vasil Domuschiev I bought a Xiaomi mi5 on Aliexpress (250€), they wrote on the package it was a toy phone with a price of 5€. So i didn't pay any tax in importation ( i live in France). I don't know if it was helpful i may have not understand you
I didn't have the customs as it ending up shipping from the UK, EU to EU is tax-free. But other countries it might come with taxes of course that's always a risk.
It looks like it's only being sold locally from EU/US/Russian warehouses by the Chinese web stores, so it's tax-free for those residents. If for some reason you're getting it shipped from China then because of its size it will almost certainly come via express shipping, which means tax.

Hi, please can you advise on riding in London. Is it legal to ride the 250w on pavements and roads? With or Without a licence and insurance too? Thanks for the video
You probably already know by now but here in ireland anyway, this scooter bypasses the law because its an assisted start scooter, if it wasnt and you could start driving right away itd be considering a motorised vehicle or something
As far as I understand it electric scooters are illegal on British roads and paths, the main difference is if you where caught on the road it could be a fine up to £300 and 3 points on your licence, no insurance, no tax, not road legal ect, however if you are caught on the pavement it's pretty much the same as a push bike which is an on the spot £30 fine, so ya pays ya money and takes ya chance! Oh yeah and that's if any police can be bothered, my view is ride steady and with consideration to others and you reduce the risk of getting noticed

Very good point!
thanks for the info. learned something new
Not a good point.we use brushless motors to spin all kinds of weight like large airplane propellers, electric skateboard wheels, heavier solid scooter tires..shouldn't be any problems as long as the weigh is balanced..if you put the correct amount of slime it should coat the inner tube evenly around when you spin the wheels...its not about weight sensitive.its about balance sensitive.
@@rottenrottie1515 Im very curious. Considering to go for the foam, so would you mind elaborating your thoughts, would be very appreciated?
@@jvarcar are you talking about replacing air filled tires with foam tires or fill inner tubes with foam instead of air?
I also missed out on the previous version of the Ninebot app, the latest version has a white screen only and no dark blue screen, less appealing in my opinion
In Russia the put 10×2 times on the back wing they put a washer to make it higher what do you think I could do for the front wheel.
I REALLY wish they put a hole somwhere so that I'd be able to lock it up, so I could use it to go to school
use the rear wheel. I bought a strap style lock called ottolock and it works great on ours.
@@theanticrust42 So i steal your scooter without 20$ rear wheel.
@@Bergwacht The rear wheel, unlike many bicycles, is difficult to remove. You would have to be prepared with the correct tools in order to remove it. If you're that prepared, you're taking my scooter regardless of any efforts I take to prevent you.
U can connect the lock inbetween the scooter and the cords attached to it
You can place a tight U-lock in the metal connecting the board and the steering stick!
how's the scooter handle off path? like grass in the park.
Can you show us how you were able to remove the valve /pin in the front tyre to put the slime in? I've seen that the slime bottle cap which doubles as a removal tool, doesn't fit the front wheel. Thanks.
If its a case of size then you can buy metal valve core removal tools which might be better
Hi noob quick question. do you think it is okay to charge the scooter even if it's not empty? or it is just fine to charge it? does the effect the same?
Nice review .. Have you reviewed the pro version ?
No I haven't sorry. Didn't buy it
where did u buy it and how much??
What’s the app called
When I try and download the app it says unsupported vehicle model? Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?
is it possible to open the battery pack and change the cells to better one?
Yes, but its a big mod. There is a Russian guy that has done this, but he put in a new controller, batteries, different charge plug etc and even painted his bright red lol. Channel is called MINI, I don't understand Russain so not sure what's involved.
Be careful about trying to work with him. He sells lots of modifications, but if you only speak english or want to buy from him and you are outside of Russia he wont actually post anything to you.
what about rain ? puddles of water ? I live in Ireland and it rains here most of the time ?
It's has an IPX4 rating, if I'm not wrong.
Is there an app for iOS?
How do u fold it
i wish had bought one when they were under $400, and in stock!
370 amazon
Charging for the second time but noticed the charging box is very hot, is this normal?
What app was it?
What is the app name?
A Tip .. If you need to fit a Tyre , use Vaseline on the Wheel Rim, it's far easier to do it this way rather than struggle to replace the wheel.
A rim job, eye eye captain.
ciao please ... a question, what is the difference between xiaomi m365 and xioami youth edition, thanks
Asking the questions myself, seems the same, but I think the handle bar is shorter?
Wrong, Same size, same scooter, only the battery change..
M365 has a 1.5 times bigger battery than the M187, the Youth Edition. M187 is basically useless.
Yeah the difference is the batt
the app for this scooter..any links as it is hiding..any fault finding links ..wheel wont take load and shuts down thanks
I think the new app to use on this scooter is "MI HOME"
what is the max load/weight recommendation to use this e-scooter? is it able to load a person above 90kg?
Dermawan Adi Saputra yes absolutely... I weigh 130kg and I ride mine with no problems other than a slight loss of range and top speed
100 kg max recommended
great video lad, do you think this regenerative breaking problem is still current on jan 19? thank you
Nope! Only on the early versions
R ur from New Zealand
Did you just say 'Here in Spain'... am gonna buy one of these in the next couple of months and am living in Madrid... my concern is the heat. Have you been using this during the summer in Spain ?
the umidigi z pro got an update recently and it seems like it's more optimized now will you revisit it?
What app for iOS? The app you suggest does not support this scooter anymore.
aquachick18 Segway ninebot apk. working just fine
Hey, good video ! Does anyone have issue connection by bluetooth with MI HOME ? I have Iphone and Xiaomi note 4, and can connect sometimes, idk why.. Can you help me?
Some time my scooter speed very low 18spees how will increase speed my scooter befor speed 28
Damn the red cap of the grey wire keeps going out ... It gets me crazy. Any tip?
Super glue in the channel that holds it in place
Can you drive on dirt
What is the name of the app that connects to the scooter?
Mi Home
Very good video. Thanks for the information
Please review the S5 DT mini from Crownwheel.
Apparently it's a really powerful scooter.
What is app name i can't hear you????
Hey Chris, already saw your reviews about mi5 and mi5s, in your opinion is it worth to give the extra $$ to buy the 5s ? (I really like the build quality of the 5s from what you described) , also the prices on gearbest best are super low for the mi5 (195 euro +-) but i wont mind to wait for a good 5s discount ! Thanks in advance !
would you still advise the m365 to someone who' s 1,95 m and weighs 100 kg ???
kai oliver underwood yeah im 189 and 135kg runs lovely
If you lowered the pressures to 2.5bars you'll get a flat tire easily. The same happens to road bicycles. It's not a matter of personal preference. The ride is harder but it has no suspension system. What did you expect? Follow the instructions.
just bought new one this helps a lot thanks :)
what about hard tires ?
Whats the app called ??
Under Mi home app
Overclock it bro
You mean overvolt it :) Apparently, some Russian UA-cam guy has done that, new 48v controller or something to get more top speed and better acceleration. But it would half the range of it.
I agree with you, everyone is on the kick of unlocking the firmware to increase top speed, but obviously this will have a direct effect on battery and distance between charges, if you want to go faster! Buy a bigger more powerful one
What do you mean you put the slime sealant in your tires? How?
in between the tire and the tube
So how come you are only getting such low range when another owner of one of these is regularly getting over 20 km?
Could it be the low tire pressures causing your lack of range.
He gives a good kick to get it going as well so perhaps that is also an issue but upwards of over 7 km difference that's a lot.
I did 21km today with 23% battery left
On gearbest, it says only China or HK for the warehouse option where exactly I can get in the UK?
IM not sure, maybe it goes China, UK, then to Spain?
hey dude im in spain and got this scooter, well the pro, but that stuff for the tires! Where did ya get that, here in spain?
Amazon.es has it. Slime for tires
Another tip get puncture tape and use maybe 2layers between inner type and the tire
Great tip!
TechTablets also slim. Slime is great for no picture if you use both then yh pretty much guaranteed no punctures😂
TechTablets also I love watch videos like these for getting the most out of my m365 I switched out the lcd screen for the pro lcd with make the app pretty much irrelevant also I got a support for the brake thing on top of the back wheel
The ninebot app doesn't work on mine!! What do I do??
that scooter has now its own app - but better you use "m365 tools"
You can ride on a fLAT TYRE no problem, just shift your weight to the where you need to.. nice video
Has anyone installed a 500w motor yet? I just ordered one. Looking for reviews
Hey, did you do the build? How is it? I'm planning on doing one myself
Cheers
joxx no I bought one and swapped the wheel. It worked out pretty nice but now I want to put the other motor in the rear so I can have two wheel drive
@@MrXuscrma adding another driver ?? not sure if the original ESC can power 2 motors.
Not sure if the original battery will be OK for a 500w motor either 🤔
So many fakes advertised online for sale on eBay and gumtree any hints or links to genuine dealers?
Amazon
Hi, I am from Auckland too~Just wondering where do you buy the scooter, from the official website?
Hello fellow Aucklander. There is a link in the description from where I got mine.
What's the difference of xiaomi mijia and xiaomi m365 ?
None.
They are the same thing. Mijia is the name of brand and M365 is the name of the model. So basically this scooter is called Xiaomi Mijia M365.
My scooter beeping non stop when I turn it on . And it speeds up itself . Anyone can help me with this issues ?
i can help you with that, and i suggest you to buy a new one. lol
seriously not that hard to change these tires, most bike shops will even do it for you pretty cheap
Hi Chris,
Is this scooter powerful enough to up hills?
Thinking of buying one for work from my flat to train station but couple of hills on the way not very steep but very long from bottom to top.
It is, but if it's too steep and it will start slowing down, you can always help it with your leg.
