Brilliant as always Kelly. I do have to tell you this year for my birthday, instead of bringing me home flowers, he bought a blue hydrangeas AKA snowball bushes. As I guess I am your competition when it comes to blue. My precious grandmother always had blue snowball bushes next to her house so I could see them every time I took the dog out. So it was super meaningful for him to get me a blue one for our yard.
Digital stamps are great. They are less expensive, can be resized, and don't take up space in your craft room. And these are absolutely gorgeous. The colors that you used really brought these images to life. Just beautifully colored.
You are an amazing colorist. I can watch you color all day long. And I tried to copy your technique. And it just never comes out as beautiful as yours!
I'm just reviewing this video & love how you're pointing out the highlights of this illustrators drawing. I am not a colorist, not at all, but this video helped me to see where the shadows belong. Omg! I could never get it until this video. What an eye opener for me. I actually picked up a lot of tips from this video alone. Thank you Kelly! I so love watching your videos! ❤
I never get tired of watching you color. Always amazing to watch the images come to life, don't care if it is stamped or digital. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration. hope you got all the hugs your heart could hold during your Create visit.
Beautiful coloring and cards! Although I love all of your videos, this one is definitely my favorite. So many helpful techniques. Thank you so much!! 😀
Thank you Kelly for posting this video. I’ve used quite a few digital stamps buying them through Etsy, however, I was not aware that companies like Colorado Craft also sold digital images. I was also one of those crafters who got a bit intimidated by all the lines that the illustrator put in the image but you have taught me in this video how to use those lines properly. I’ll definitely look at the video about using digital stamps and I hope you have a fabulous weekend at Simon Says Create. It’s a shame that I live too far away (Australia),otherwise I’d attend. Thank you again for another very informative video. ❤
Kelly, these were definitely WOW! You are an amazing colorist and I never tire of watching you color! Thank you for promoting the digital stamps sector also, as that's an area I have my hands in and hoing that it takes off well! 💕❤️
Beautiful cards! I'm sorry I missed you at create. I didn't realize you were going to be there on Saturday and I didn't check out Honey Bee's table again😒 Hope you had a great time catching up with your crafty friends and also "date night".
It is great that these stamps have the shading already added to them! Many people, even those who give coloring directions, add shading incorrectly and it is obvious that it is wrong. I was going to say that coloring these flowers with
Oops, sorry Only 1 color, then they would still be very pretty, but I was afraid that you and other colorists would be offended and cringe, but then you said it yourself! The black outlines and shading would help give some texture to the flowers.
So beautiful! Colorado Craft has some of the most ‘real’ looking flowers in their big and bold. Enjoy your date night and have a wonderful time catching up with your friends!
Such GREAT instruction! Thank you for sharing these beautiful cards with us. I have been hesitant to start using my small collection of alcohol ink markers because I don't have a creative bone in my body. You have given me the confidence that with practice I too can create something beautiful. Thank you.
Beautiful cards and great video. It was very helpful! I've been struggling with my alcohol maker coloring but something in my brain clicked while listening to you explain the techniques. If I can get my shadows right everything else will fall in to place. I only have enough markers to do 3 color blends but my midtone will lay just under my darkest shadow and extend it out a bit and then the rest is highlight. Tada!! Looking at some of my favorite stamps I can see the shadow now. Thank you! I hope you had a great trip.
These cards are gorgeous! I love watching you color and learn a lot from.your explanations. I am starting to use my alcohol markers more and these flowers with their shading look like they"d be perfect for me. Not sure that my old printer would do well with digital designs so the stamps may be my beat choice. I hope you had a great time at Create. Thank you for all that you do.
This is how I keep amazing myself everyday. I never thought of hydrangeas. When Kelly is colouring, I notice smaller flower looking bunches making up the whole. I’ve just always looked at them and thought they were like big squishy Pom poms. 😆 Fun Fact: Madonna doesn’t like Hydrangeas.
As always, your coloring is gorgeous, Kelly! I found Nancy's video and was hoping she'd answer one question in that video but sadly she did not. Wondering if you might know the answer. I have an Epson inkjet printer and a Brother laser printer. If I print on my Brother, it shows the pixels in the printed image and is not as sharp as what my Epson inkjet printer produces. Any idea how to make the Brother print much sharper? Even if I print at 600 or 1200 dpi, same result. And I know that my Copics are much happier being colored onto laser images than the inkjet images. Any ideas?
That’s great. In theory I love the idea of digital stamps but, in practice, the first time I used them was a freebie. That freebie had one image for one card that forced the printing to take up a whole 8.5 x11 piece of cardstock AND it had a watermark so there was EPIC waste of paper. Although I love the idea, that entire experience was the anti-digital stamp experience for me. I don’t think I’ve used one since. (Needless to say it was NOT Colorado that made that freebie.) I must give them another try. Those stamps are goregous.
Kelly, that spot on the sunflower, it looks like the leaf, a piece of the leaf you missed. Not a big deal, I just need to know if it is something else.
Do you know if you can print the images in a different color - ie, a light gray or tan to get a more “no line” look? There must be a way, but I don’t know how.. I waffle on digital images - I like that they can resized, but I like the versatility of the real stamp - they can be used for heat embossing and watercolor (my printer won’t take the heavy watercolor paper), But, I sure like the price of the digital. I am imagining the peony done super big for a frameable piece.
You can use tombow but I would recommend using them as watercolor with watercolor paper. They are water-based markers and don't blend like alcohol markers on regular cardstock.
Your cards are beautiful! Do you have any tips on how to layer digital stamps that are SVG format? I am use to having digitals that are PNG, so you can layer them on top of each other so it looks like you did masking with physical stamps. I have not been able to figure out how to do that with the SVG format.
Lovely cards. I’m not sure about digital stamps because when I colour then with alcohol ink, the black print ink smudges. Do you know what I am doing wrong? I have an inkjet printer. I really would appreciate your input to my problem 🥴xx User error some along the line ! X
White Roses are my favorite flowers but Pink Peonies are a very close second. Beautiful, beautiful cards

Not only can you scale digital stamps, they're easier (and cheaper) to store and easier to organize.

Amazing coloring with copics. So pretty.
They are gorgeous. Love, love, love them.
All three cards are stunning, but that pink one--WOW! Enjoy the trip!
What beautiful cards. Coloring is fantastic.
You are an amazing colorist. I can watch you color all day long. And I tried to copy your technique. And it just never comes out as beautiful as yours!

Beauties!! All three.
Fantastic coloring! Love all three!

You’re such a good teacher!
You are simply amazing! I love to just sit and watch you color. So stunning and mind blowing! I appreciate you!

Wow! Superb cards and a huge THANK YOU for taking time to share an alchol ink coloring lesson. I'm hooked now.
This is probably one of my favorite videos....Very Very helpful. Thank you very much !!!!!

Beautiful!
Just stunning! Love them all. Very helpful idea to improve our coloring technique.
Love the hydrangea! Went to Columbus to Create for SSS. Too crowded. Sadly, I did not see you at Honey Bee booth. Not even sure I saw Honey Bee Booth.
So beautiful, once again. I love watching your videos, great job

I'm a graphic designer and have rarely bought physical stamps. Digital stamps are amazing and very versatile.
And they don’t take up space!
awesome colouring xx
Gorgeous...

i love this idea.
Gorgeous cards Kelly! I love them all and couldn't choose a favorite. You are going to have a fantastic weekend. TFS ❤
I like making bigger cards and never thought about being able to enlarge digital stamps, I am going to get some and try it.
Sounds fun. I'll have to take a look at digital stamps. At least, you don't need extra space in storing physical stamps.
Love to see your coloring ❤. Its so relaxing and I learn every time.
Wish I lived in usa, so I could meet you in real life, but I'm in Denmark
Great video!
I love using digital stamps! Thanks for doing this tutorial. I bought the digital stamps when CCC released them.
Love this. You’ve got my subscription. 💜

This was great! So pretty! Enjoy your weekend!
I’m so impressed with the digital stamps was pretty wary of out buying them that you show me they’re pretty goodbye so thank you
Thank you for all the information you shared on shading. It is so helpful! Loved all the images ❤️
Beautiful! The hydrangea stamp overwhelmed me just watching you but seems less intimidating now. Thanks
OMGoodness! Gorgeous coloring. I will watch this later on but at first view I am wow-ed!

Omg, the Hydrangea is gorgeous, so are the others. Our hydrangeas are a bit bluer. But I love them all! How are
The kids?
We're good! Hope you're well ❤️
WOW! I never buy digital stamps but can see where they are great and you may have sold me on them. Thanks for all you do. Enjoy your time away.
Love these! They are so beautiful❤️
Beautiful work! Sorry I missed you in OH. I made the carrot card at the HBS table but somehow missed you. Boo.............
Lori S in PA
This was so helpful! And your cards are beautiful - as always! 🌸 Thank you so much for sharing. Have a wonderful time at Create!
Gorgeous cards I never new they did digital stamps I’m off to have a look 😀
I love your coloring skills. Its always beautiful 😍. I struggle but I am very new. Do you have a beginner tutorial or know of a good one to watch.
What paper do you use to print on? Do you print with an ink jet printer or laser printer?
I printed on Neenah 80lb cardstock and I have a Canon Inkjet printer

Were you going to leave a link to the video about printing digital stamps?
I am looking for that video also
Sorry! It's here ua-cam.com/video/ICDaMTjHxm0/v-deo.html

I know in Word you can change them to grayscale. I'm not sure about the way Nancy showed it. Here's her video ua-cam.com/video/ICDaMTjHxm0/v-deo.html
Nancy who? The video you mentioned of the lady who does digital stamping well? Didn't see link you were going to add. Very nice cards. Thank you.
ua-cam.com/video/ICDaMTjHxm0/v-deo.html I forgot sorry!
Great coloring tips! Can you use Tombow markers for this technique as well? If so, do you have any videos of them? Thanks for sharing.
You can use tombow but I would recommend using them as watercolor with watercolor paper. They are water-based markers and don't blend like alcohol markers on regular cardstock.
Absolutely stunning cards, Kelly! I don’t see the link for how to print digital stamps. I’d really like to know more about it.

I am fascinated by digital stamps but what type of printer do you use that would print on Cardstock?
I have a Canon Inkjet
@@KellyTaylorCards The ink doesn’t smear when you use alcohol inks? What model?
Lovely cards. I’m not sure about digital stamps because when I colour then with alcohol ink, the black print ink smudges. Do you know what I am doing wrong? I have an inkjet printer. I really would appreciate your input to my problem 🥴xx
User error some along the line ! X
Kelly, did you print with an inkjet or a laser printer. Did you have to watch out for smearing? Thank you for your usual excellent teaching!
Ty for sharing these digital stamps to color. What software do you use to print them?
I use word. Here's Nancy's video showing how she does it ua-cam.com/video/ICDaMTjHxm0/v-deo.html
Ty so much for the link..I think I'm going to try digital stamps and trying my hand at coloring images. You are awesome!
Ok did you use an inkjet printer or one that uses toner?😊
I use a Canon Inkjet
They do remind me of Jennifer McGuire, if they were surrounded by a slim black edge then the color they would remind me of Gina K LOL
Haha Gina does love her black mat 😁
