- This is a clip from one of my live meet-ups with the Tier 1 members of my Keep the Blaze Alive Coaching Squad (aka “The Squad”). The Squad has three levels of membership, and we meet weekly online with a 2-hour livestream where I answer questions and tell stories, and the Tier 1 members get two monthly two-hour Zoom calls where we talk face-to-face. I also host two 3-day events per year for my Tier 1 members. Learn more about The Squad at / coachingsquad
The thing that stood out the most to me, is Pat always thinking of helping others when preparing. Stand up dude!
What other reason is there to prepare?
@@jacobcarter5923 survival. Self survival
if Pat had a special dial number i'd call him before 911
The thing that stood out most of me was the beautiful woman in the tank top with the tattoos lol
@@sapper12b71 lol that’s his wife
Never ever thought of a reflective vest with security on it,,,,,, golden!
I dig how Pat gets this type of content out in sub 5 minutes
Yeah, no back story leading up to the back story, explaining the results that lead to the OG backstory that got to the point of todays topic.
Wow I did not consider having a security vest to differentiate me and the shooter. Thank you Pat, I will be ordering one too.
A serious detail that is often overlooked. Something I thought about as soon as I started carrying, didnt want to get shot in the process of trying to do the right thing.
100%
Get a construction helmet too. In a disaster, a helmet and vest... you are automatically the authority (if you wish).
Please do not go running into an active shooter situation if you come across one. You are not a former Delta guy. You're just a liability and another person getting in the way.
@@joeaardvark9214 bullets aren't more dangerous just because they come from a former delta guy. I'll take a bullet from an amateur early in the fight over a bullet from SWAT later, any day of the week.
If it's your kid, I would hope you would too. (Pat would agree, otherwise he wouldn't be sharing this.)
Meds. BSI. Rubber gloves. Last week bicycle rider strike. I was first. Lots of blood. Had my kit. Next person that stopped was a nurse. Gave her glovers. Alive and stable when the squad arrived. Just a thought.
BSI?
fuck, "i dont wait permission, im going". pat mac would fuck shit up as a first responder to an active shooting. great man, great role model! greetings from germany
Texas and the „Cops“ make this Even more badass.
Some people may consider Pat a threat or danger with what he knows and can do. Meanwhile he is a thoughtful and caring protector, whom given the situation I would appreciate having by my side in time of need.
CAG doesn’t make bad men, it kills them.
This is the shit we needed to learn in high school. Love ya Pat, keep it habitual.
Pat is a great gift to the prepared citizen!! So refreshing to see a high speed dude not trying to make videos only showcasing his cool guy skills and just trying to pass along knowledge for anyone to use in everyday situations. Thank you Pat!
Every human could benefit from your know how. Not only super-thorough but you get to the point immediately. Almost a lost art these days, cheers!
After 22 years of fire and ems it looks like you cover everything without extra junk. Great presentation.
Simplicity and precision in all things! Thank you.
Great load-out. Thank you for sharing it with us, Pat. Stay safe and stay warm
These new video series are stellar! Been a huge fan for awhile but this brings your channel to a new level. Solid work.
Loving all this knowledge you've been dropping, lately. Thanks for being out there.
Please keep these videos coming..great basic information for those of us who unfortunately cant make it to learn from you in person!
Keep these videos coming Mac! Love all the refreshers on Basic Dude stuff! and I really appreciate how the info is straight forward and not taught in a "look at me I'm a bad ass that knows everything" kind of way.
The info in this video is priceless especially for people who don’t have the training pat has. Thank you sir for being one of the good guys👍
Pat you keep the redundant logical things fresh and fun with your delivery.
Pat you're the man and a great AmeriCAN!!! Thanks for all of the great information and positivity. Keep kicking butt!!!💪💪💪👍👍👍👍
Pat is killing it!!
I would also like to give a huge shout out to CJ for all the film work!!
Found CJ’s burner account
Great information, Sir! 550 cord is a lifesaver!!
extremely well done and well thought out Pat !!!!!
Always putting out killer stuff. I live up in VA and need to get into some of your courses. They fill up fast. Keep on rolling brother
Thank you for sharing the knowledge Pat Mac.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
You are the best of us, Sergeant Major. Much peace and dreamless sleep.
Dreamless sleep is bad for you. Dreams happen during REM sleep, which you need for actual recovery.
The hands free light is legit. I’m full time fire and I tell all the new guys and girls who get assigned with our station… get a headlamp and keep it in your rig bag. Use it all the time.
Great point about the glasses! I am getting to that magical age myself!
Pat is the BOMB !!!! I have been watching these videos allot lately and have learned so much!!! I really admire Pat and how he thinks things out. I am a former Sgt. US Marine Corps infantry - 0311 (1983-1989)
You are doing a “VERY GREAT & FABULOUS FAVOUR” on people who want to living a normal and healthy life with their FAMILY. Keep It UP .
“GOD LOVEs YOU AND BLESSED YOU WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE“.
Thank you Pat and team!
Also no plate carrier set-up for an active shooter response?
Absolutely 💯 Knowledge and Experience there Sir!! 🔥 Thanks for sharing 👍
Hunters tack, I hunted deep in woods for years and always used bright orange ribbon tape. Thanks Pat I am definitely adding those to my bag.
Same here. I get tree tape for free from my job. Orange, green ,and yellow work great.
second bag in truck is the GET ME HOME BAG. Short distance. first aid /water/extra mag for side arm/eagle scout stuff/ fire material in both is a chunk of roofing felt paper. light wet or dry
Great prep information Pat, a couple of things I didn't think of. I would think if you use hunter tacks, you also remove them as you leave the area too.
This is an excellent video! Thank you for sharing the knowledge
Definitely need to update my kit, great tips
Very well prepared. Thank you for the video
Sweet, my first ever UA-cam appearance! What a great weekend this was. Looking forward to the spring meetup 🤘🏻
Seen this covered before, love it !!
If anything bad ever happens to me! I hope Pat Mac is in Ireland at the time!!!!!!!
That vest added to my bag this week thanks my brother 🙏🏽
That fluorescent vest is a game changer. My biggest question when I was getting my CCW and permit was “How do I identify myself to cops as a civilian and not the shooter, in other words: how do I not get shot by the cops trying to protect myself and others” and I never got a satisfactory answer. The organization I train with says to be at low-ready with a hand up. Nah. The vest is brilliant and I’m ordering one now. Thanks for the information brother.
Fabulous information! I’m buying the reflective vest ASAP!
Wow, way more than I expected. I need to start thinking outside the box.
Love this guy. No messin around
Fun fact, super glue was actually invented as a field expedient suture. It works , always carried a bottle in my bags when I worked construction. That and a roll of electrical tape, drop or two on glue wrap with tape and go back to work.
Good stuff Pat. Thanks
Damn, I never thought about the vest!! Great way to help not get shot by adrenaline!
This is awesome 👏.. years of experience in that bag 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
FUSE! Why didn't I think of that...great idea and I happen to keep some around for fireworks. Thanks for the great idea Pat!
Great info , thanks for the video.
Pat has got to be my new favourite person on the planet. Outstanding citizen with a body of knowledge more ripped than the mind of Buddha. Videos shorter than the attention span of an average TikTok user, yet packed tight with hardcore information so dense you could give it to Michelangelo of molding.
I have all of this, but additional is tow straps, som chain, links, crowbar, long jumper cables, sockets and tools, tarp paper towel, folding chair and I cut a big hole right through the drivers seat to be able to take a shit while driving
Chalk is a huge item to carry as well. Marks alot of different things that you can't use a sharpie etc with. The grease pens are great too. P mentioned those. Great info brother. Keep pushing. AI. FOR KNOWLEDGE is key I say.
Love your videos sir thank you for sharing.
The orange safety vest for an active shooter situation is brilliant. I've wondered how to deal with such a situation without being seen as a bad guy. Excellent.
Damn this is a great breakdown!
Great Vid, some good info all of us can use maybe not everything but the point is to take away 1-2 items and one day they may help you out in a bad spot. Cheers
I too drive a blacked out truck. I feel like we’re brother now🤪😎👊 Keep on keep’n on man. Good stuff
See?! MAC HAS THE KNOWLEDGE. REAL stuff. Practical. To the point. No extra nonsense. LOVE IT PAT! Even my 7 year old daughter loves you! She’s been watching you since she was 4! Haha great stuff man
Awesome info, his GO stuff is more in depth.
Vest is a great idea. After Eric Talley last year in Boulder.. I thought about the same thing to give a responder any extra way to see I am not a threat
Doing Gods work sir ! Real man and patriot 🇺🇸 💪
i live in idaho,in a rural area,,,,,near the montana idaho border,,your on your own here if something bad happens for the most part,,,,,,help can be hours away,,if you can even get help,,,these skills and what you pack are life savers,,,,thank you,,,,,,
Great content. Keep it coming
Great advice
I loop my headlamp onto the drag handle and zip it into the main compartment. I can find it in pitch black and have never had an issue with my zippers walking open.
Thank U for This,Sir
my bag is about the same. I do keep a stocking hat. either for me or for the cold shock victim in whatever condition
I'm glad their is people like pat Mac out there
Learning from an expert, for the school of life!
Great setup
Got it all but will take my hunters vest to get my 8 & 10 year old. Thank you
Food for thought...You could build these bag kits for whatever scenario and sell them easily. I'd buy one lol.
Great video boss! 🇺🇸🪖
Never heard of hunters tacks. That is an awesome idea!
I prefer flagging tape. But the other consideration becomes, how tall is the person using the hunters tacks? If they are 6'6 thy are placing the tacks higher than some one who is 4'10.
This was some useful info.. I don't know that I would carry that much.. I will be getting most of it though! I'm not qualified for all the medical stuff.. Maybe now that I'm retiring I can get qualified though!
Thanks Pat.. You're the man brother!
Love Pat he's the man!
Super noob marine here. Can’t say how much I appreciate your knowledge and your willingness to share
"God of death" hahahaha.
@@joeaardvark9214 Not sure god would be part of death or killing people.
Were those paper maps...?
holy cow...! what a novel idea..., but won’t we always be in cell range..., hahaha...
Soooo, much info., in this short video, thank sir.
hey man, i just wanted to say i respect the fact that you carry gear with the intent preserving your own life and that of your loved ones, but also that of the innocent. i think thats a big thing a lot of proponents of gun control overlook is preparing everyone to be their own first responder and to be the first responder of their fellow man.
This is amazing
Adding security vest. Thanks
This man is prepared!
Ok, so you're a Veteran and former Law Enforcement Officer. Thank-you for both services. Although I didn't quite make it, I was two weeks shy of graduating BLET. From a former Coast Guardsman, Semper Paratus!
I carry a road flare. it's good for signal and starting fires.
Excellent share
Great info! Thanks for sharing??
I need basically zero of these things. Living in an urban centre in the UK. But MAN is it fascinating to see and hear about, I love all this prep stuff. Probably makes me a prepper haha damn. I stretch to carrying a fire extinguisher, high-vis vest, torch, first aid and foil blanket in the boot of my tiny urban Renault Zoe lol which is probably unnessesary. I'm like 2 minutes away from assistance whereever I go so I guess it's more for fun than practicality... Would love a larger vehicle and a boot full of gear though, just so interesting to think about.
I've always liked maps growing up as a kid. Even as an adult before smart phones it amazed me that some couldn't "read" a map. Nowadays im also surprised how much people rely on GPS and smartphones to tell them where to go.
Great stuff. Peace
Wow alot of knowledge jammed into a short video!
Great idea with the hunting tacks. Never knew those existed. 🤙🏼
Important thing is brand/type of vehicle.
I have a Toyota Tundra as well because I know I can trust it over most of the other brands.
True.
I drive what is reliable.
I do not participate in the vehicle wars business.
Toyota's are made in America.
On point brother, I teach/ tell people to pack the exact same things. Road maps/ atlas and a non-electric compass can be essential! Keep up the fire brother.
Pat is one cool dude 😎
My friend in a PD lost an officer to an ambush, citizen kills the shooter, then the citizen is killed by responding officer who saw him with a weapon. Vest is a perfect idea! Thanks Pat for a great piece of advise. When we were plain cloths we had the same problem with uniformed officers not recognizing us.
That’s the problem^
Never engage an “active shooter” yourself. Chances are the responding cops 🐷 will shoot you as well.
Better to create distance and take care of yourself or your own family. Trying to be a white knight and protect others in public will likely get you injured or killed as well.
Wish I didn’t have to say all that, just have heard too many horror stories of a “good guy” getting killed by overzealous responding cops. And most departments SOP’s are to neutralize anyone carrying a firearm.
Or a good out come.
Good shit. So many of my friends don't even have jumper cables and give me shit for having a med kit, fire extinguisher, bug out pack, and a vehicle repair kit.
What a wonderful world
