Ferrex and Parkside make good power tools for the money. And if you get 12 month's out of it ,it's payed for it self. Thanks for the video and your honest opinion ,take care Phill👍👍👍
Thanks! The pendulum action helps the blade to cut through the wood and make it easier for the blade to remove material rather than a simple up and down action.
I might be in the market for a replacement for my old Bosch which is slowly wearing out. This looks like it might be worth a look. Have you tried the dust port connected to a vacuum? it's not a deal breaker for me, just interested. Cheers Phill.
I've not tried the dust port Steve I tent to do most cutting in the garden although I don't see why it wouldn't do a decent job the port looks pretty standard. Good saw for the money I would say.
@@bayadere8308 I think I was using number 1. If the material is thicker I would user number 2 it helps the blade to remove material without getting clogged up with sawdust and helps to get through thicker material. If I was cutting thin wood or metal I would have it set to zero.
@@ivanfernyhough3851 it helps to get through thicker material faster. Straight blade on zero gives cleaner finish for thinner materials and gets through slower than the angled pendulum settings.

Cheers Shaun 👍🏻 I agree 👍🏻
Thanks Phil, looks like a bargain buy, has all the functionality of the Bosch one I bought about 30 years ago for about 4 times the price !
Yea Andy they have really figured out how to get the costs down on modern tools compared to a few decades ago.
thanks for the video.. what is the pendulum action used for?.. ta ;)

The laser guide on mine is completely off. Do you know of a way to calibrate it? Nothing in the manual. Thanks
