I got one around March 2023 for £9.99 just before they stopped selling online. Also got the impact driver, multi tool and drill driver for the same price. Added a couple of batteries and a charger and I was ready for anything diy 😂 they're really good for the diy market
Great deal 😉👍 💪
That seemed to work pretty well. Having never bought an ALDI power tool in the past I would now actually consider it. Great review Rob CHEERS
Defo give them a try brett, Aldi and Lidl in my experience have never let me down.. as yet ! Cheers mate 😎
You ar getting me hooked
🤣don’t blame the messenger 🤣😉 cheers Reggy 😎
Hi Rob ,good review on this battery grinder from Aldi ,great video mate. catch up with you on Thursday at 7 , take care 😎👍
Cheers Shaun, see you Thursday mate !
Good tool and great price..good review.....but your battery lasted longer than mine!
Cheers , I’ve not used it for a while.. I’ll have to check how the battery is doing 👍
@@WeekendShedHead Thanks
Another Aldi run!👍🏻Great tool to have especially at that price. Nice buy Rob😎
Cheers Mike.. great bit of kit for the price
Top review! Thanks for sharing. Bought this bad boy sometime last year. Not actually on my weekly shopping list, but when I saw the 40v, body only, on offer at a penny shy of a tenner, well, it would have been rude not to.
I have to agree with you wholeheartedly: cracking bit of kit! Plenty of power, and every bit as capable as my Hikoki 18v.
Can I just say, a couple of months ago, I picked up the cordless mitre saw. Again, it was on offer at £49. I did consider the Trend at one point, but as I'm not on that battery platform, and it does get mixed reviews, decided to give it a miss. I do have a corded Makita, and the Ferrex is not as capable, but at that price, with a wee bit of fine-tuning, it is great for chucking in the back of the car, as it is much smaller and lighter and works anywhere indoors or out, meaning you are not as concerned with creating dust in someone's house.
That's great deal at £12.99 Rob, a cordless grinder is a real boon, I use mine all the time, barely use the corded ones now unless I need the 9" !
It’s certainly a nicer experience without the cable😉👍 , cheers Rob
Love mine, cut about two metres of granite worktop and still had two bars on the battery
Great stuff 😉😃
That's a great tool and price Rob, especially being cordless.
Take care, Jeff
It’s really is a little beast, very powerful .. and well balanced on weight.. can’t go wrong for the price . Take care Jeff.. all the best Rob 👍
Hi Rob, you got a bargain there mate. I'm guessing it's not brushless but hey! at that price, it was a give-a-way. Nice video, regards, Fred
Hi Fred, you’re right not brushless.. but a great bargain product for what I need., cheers Rob
Cheers Rob..... the only thing for me is the battery life on the whole though it would be a handy tool to have for bolt removal or the like when you are doing a bit in the garden and cant be bothered to run a lead. does the cost of it with the 2 batteries, the charger and the tool match other alike cordless grinders?
Hi mate, yeah I agree.. if I’m using something over a long period of time I’d go for cable tools.. but real handy without those pesky cables on the one offs and awkward jobs, I think this battery is good for about 1hr of constant use.. but I’ll keep you posted, cheers Rob
Excelente vídeo. Saludos desde España.Gracias
Odd one for you guys. I got a 20V brushless grinder from Aldi a few weeks back. Haven't used it yet, but I've noticed when turning the spindle by hand it doesn't rotate freely. It makes a 'ratchety' clicking sound every few mm as I rotate it, so there's turning 'resistance'. My old corded Aldi grinder spins freely. Any ideas why this? There's nothing 'loose', it just seems to be engineered that way.
Forgot to add: I'm in Australia -- we only get 20V tools here.
Is the guard on the right way round usually the sparks and dust come toward you you’re fighting against the wheel
👍😉you’re right Steve.. didn’t even notice while I was doing the filming , cheers
6:11 how comes you are not grinding on the marked lines? Hehe.
It will be good to know Rob how long the batteries last and when you keeping charging, do they still give a good performance from the first time you use them.
KR Shed Goat 😊
😉👍the line was the centre line, needed to go both sides of it.. im re plasterboarding the ceiling as well once complete 😎 I’ll let you know on battery.. but my guess is an hour of constant use! Cheers Rob
@@WeekendShedHead ah gotcha👍🏻. Hope you don’t get too dusty. Be interested to know what tools you use when you come to re plastering. See you on shed space.
I can’t fault my Aldi 40v drill n grinder, scraps everything I throw at it.
👍I’ll be buying more Ferrex cordless tools 😉👍
My 20v keeps shutting down every 3 seconds faukty claim made
Oh that’s not good
