Written in 1987, the song was first released in September 1992 and did not make any waves at all. DJs actually refused to play "Creep" because of its melancholy vibe. However, in June 1993, the song reached No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on the chart for 20 weeks. As many that did not rank top 20 in its day... it became iconic afterwards and looking back today. Still so many artist yet in the 90s fighting for high ranking status that sometimes grew larger in time.....
52 but find it hard to pass on my knowledge without these kids just learning without them trying to make a buck. We where just sat in the back of some dude's Pontiac and rode the streets just bumping bumps and learning. Not sure what these fucktards are doing now.
I'm 74 and still rockin' to it too. Some poll somewhere said the best rock 'n roll song ever is Stairway To Heaven. My vote goes to Radiohead's Creep as the greatest rock song ever. My singular wish before I die is that I never have to hear Stairway to Heaven again. :D
You could go down the rabbit hole on Radiohead. They are IMHO the greatest band around today. Up there with Pink Floyd and Led Zep. Go for OK Computer and Kid A, and In Rainbows.
My cousin sings this in his cover band and kills it!!! The lyrics are so sad to think someone actually feels this way about themselves. Love this song.
Great reaction to an iconic song!👏This song is on my list of all time top ten songs & has never left it for over 20 years. Not only is the music beautiful, but those lyrics, combined with Thom Yorke's voice - MASTERPIECE! Hence the reason it gets covered so much, but no-one can achieve the perfection of Radiohead's original - Thom wrote it & you can FEEL his raw emotion! *PLEASE PLEASE* react to Street Spirit (fade away) by Radiohead - it is so memorising - a haunting song 💗 Also 'Karma Police'; 'Paranoid Android'; 'My Iron Lung'; 'Daydreaming'; ''Fake Plastic Trees'
Such a deep and beautiful song. U can feel the emotion of vulnerability and self doubt. Im turning 60 and will always rock with this. Thanx so much, Peace
He wrote ssong about a girl he fell in love with in college but did not have the ability to talk to her. When he finally did talk to her, she blew him off. He played this in concert a few years later and saw her in the crowd.
I think the ranges of him going so high with the music cranking, right back to melodic and quieter to me is maybe what is going on in his head. I have Bi-polar Disorder & my moods can flow like that sometimes. When self depreciation enters your brain. Just my take on it
If you want an appreciative comment section and you like Thom Yorke’s high notes, react to Nude by Radiohead. I guarantee you’ll enjoy the song and Radiohead fans are always looking for good reaction channels , and you are one!
Yeah I am GenX, started HS in 1991 and ended college at 2000 (music in the 9os in every genre - alt/rock, grunge, hip-hop and techno - all just shined and shined with one incredible band, emcee, artist after another) Radiohead got HUGE off this song, and kept growing and evolving to become THE ultimate band of the last 30 years (just this man's opinion obviously but, 5 of 9 albums hit the Rolling Stone Top 500 albums list, that's no small feat)....peace/
He feels he's a creep because he sees a beautiful woman and he starts thinking about all that is wrong with him & he'll never get her, so then he feels creepy dreaming, thinking about her, "im a creep, Im a wierdo, what the hell am I doing here, I dont belong here". He has such a low idea of himself he almost wonders why he even left his house, with this beautiful lady in the same room
The sad thing is, lots of us have felt this way, and lots of us have also made someone else feel this way without even knowing. It is SO important to pay attention to people, ask the guy in the parking lot who is just sitting there if he's ok, say hello to strangers, smile. We have to try to change ourselves first.
A often covered song, not always succesful, but imo there are two special versions worth checking out: 1 Post Modern Jukebox feat. Hailey Reinhart , and 2 The Warning 's drummer Paulina Villarreal.
58....still dancing to it when my cousin plays it & still cranking the car stereo up & singing my Fat Czechoslovakian Ars off!!! (Just not the high notes...Alto over here)
Yo dude - just found your channel - Love that you're reacting to old stuff. Can you react to the Scarling cover of this (Creep) please - be fun to hear a yoot's impressions on it
Personally, I think the best version of this song is by the a cappella group VoicePlay ft. Anthony Gargiula. Cesar DeLaRosa puts so much should and feeling in his voice.
This is older than 15 years. It came out in 1992

Yes baby Gen X had it best:
70's we were kids
80's we were teens
90's we were in college (Radiohead)
Musically, its perfection
Yo dude - just found your channel - Love that you're reacting to old stuff. Can you react to the Scarling cover of this (Creep) please - be

You like this, you’d probably dig a lot of grunge tracks from various bands. Try something by Soundgarden.
Would love to see you react to Stone Temple Pilots, Plush or Interstate Love Song.
please do this same song BY-- Creep - Vintage Postmodern Jukebox Radiohead Cover ft. Haley Reinhart......😃

Going through your videos and enjoying the content, but you pause a lot, which disrupts the flow of the song. Sometimes less is more. FWIW.

Mental illness is painful.
