They will, and rightfully so. Low cost, fast CPU, software support for (probably) 3-5 years.
Rusty Chain agree! The price is a steal considering the specs. There are also a lot of 5S/6/6S/7 users who are still holding out. They will most likely upgrade to the SE if they want to.

That’d be soooo funny if the SE 2 sells SO well, completely dwarfing the Pros, Apple decides to have an “iPhone classic” series.
Imagine an iPhone 8 Plus style body with upgraded internals, cameras, nice big 16:9 display but upgraded to OLED and a larger battery with a 3rd gen Touch ID. I miss the classic design.

The best deal in phones, just when no one I know wants to buy! I asked my mom if she wanted a new phone camera to replace her 6s, and she said no. She said "I get so many compliments on my pictures!"
Not the best deal, just seems that way if you only look at Apple products and insist on getting a newly released phone.

I personally think the iPhone XR is the best phone when it comes to battery life so far. But this new iPhone SE looks perfect for a business phone
@Greytonic X Bigger doesn't mean that a phone can do more. It's not like a tablet or laptop where bigger screens have more content to interact with. Hell, in my experience with moving from the tiny 4.0" iPhone SE to the 6.1" iPhone XR, most apps just have a bunch of wasted open space on screen.
A 4.7" phone is perfectly fine for a business user, as it still does literally everything the 6.1" and 6.5" phones are doing.
Greytonic X ok ok I totally understand your point. But from my personal experience with the older generation using iPhone 6/7, they tend to like the smaller phones. Also when I do get the iPhone SE I’ll be mostly using it on job sites. The camera on the SE is just perfect for taking pictures when I’m at certain jobs
@@TurboPikachu I....agree. I got the xr as my main and I sometimes use the 5s for youtube as background noise. The 5s seems to be better for focusing on business because it isn't as big and emersive as the xr so I get less distracted. If only it wasn't so laggy...
@@TheChaosofra My original 2016 SE was still fast enough for me even in late 2019, but after I heard from many reliable sources that the SE2 would be bigger, I no longer had a new "tiny" iPhone to look forward to, and my SE's screen was never good for UA-cam/Netflix/Hulu/etc to begin with. Very happy to have moved up to the XR, especially for watching 21:9 movies as the extra-wide screen and much louder/bassier speakers make actually watching hours of video content on the go feasible for me ^^

Question Rene: Do you think an Watch could be used to bypass Touch & Face ID such that those who wear masks and gloves could automatically be logged into the device? Seems to work on a Mac. That would sell me on the watch in these covered up virus times plus a big benefit to doctors and nurses.

The face recognition does work with polarized glasses, always works when I wear my oakleys and they have the prizm polarized lens
Thanks for the informative video. I’m still rocking my four year old SE and I love it, despite getting laughed at. I just returned from Asia where there are a lot of people wearing face masks, I’m pretty sure they won’t want to adjust their mask each time they need to access their device. I think the SE will be a big seller.

The SE is good, just the battery is a bit lacking. I hope the A13 efficiency and the removal of 3D touch to increase battery size makes this phone last all day. If this phone can give 6hr of SOT, I'm definitely buying it.

In Australia, Apple has the 64gb priced at $749 and the 128gb priced at $829. Is this still a good deal?
I've only ever used Android phones and currently using a Nokia 7 Plus which I've owned for 2 years now.
I am curious what do you think will happen with XR till the end of the year, once iPhone 12 lineup is ready?
I had XR for few months and it was awesome phone. Personally, it could be a good approach for Apple to keep XR as a part of the next lineup and as low price faceID alternative to iPhone SE.

The real question: Does sidegrading from an XR to an SE 2020 make any sense? I'd love to have a smaller phone since the Xr is a tad too big for me but giving up FaceID and gesture navigation seems like a bad trade-off. The rumored 5.4 inch iPhone 12 can't come soon enough.

Honestly. I love how fluid the gesture system on the x is. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it. lol anytime I see an iPhone with a home button it looks ancient to me.
I use both technology iPhones.
Private and professional use.
I’m totally into Face ID (and gestures interface) since the first hours of use, frequently stumbling on the home button on the other iPhone.

Is iPhone SE plus likely to be launched? Is Apple planning on that?
Just bought the 11 to replace a failing and abused X, I was pondering for the SE because of its size and price. But the lack of night mode and returning to the fingerprint sensor and my dry skin issues associated with it, made me chose the other modeI. love my 11. I see the rumors for 12 but I want to return to LCD for as much as possible as my X was riddled with that green stripe on the screen. Regarding cases, for the 11 I bought a Lunatik Taktik case that saved a work 6s from many mishaps.
So tempted . Due an upgrade from pixel 2xl . Phones are just getting crazy right now . Think I will go back to the small compact retro days . Only downside is no night mode will miss that off my pixel .
Rene you made me realise I can get another apple product like a watch and this still is cheaper than the 11 .
I just took my 5SE for battery replacement and the problem was “crap” in the charger port- a one minute and free repair. Battery health is at 84% but it wouldn’t recharge. The new SE sounds perfect for the price but my old one is working again.

Is the home button on the SE solid state like the iPhone 8? Or a physical button like the previous SE?

I am among those who will preorder in the morning. Touch ID was my hold out point and my iPhone 7 is dying. If the 11S/12 launches in Oct with under screen Touch ID I'm going to feel a bit stupid but at this point it was spend money on a new battery or a new phone. And if I am lucky I'll get a few years out of it.
Also honestly I prefer the home button but don't think they can give me a perfect phone with with little to no bezel and some kind of home button. So this will likely be my last phone with a home button.
The only question is will this be a 6 month phone? Or will I use it for 2-3 years like I have most of my phones.
I have gen 1 SE and i don’t have to “always” press. As long as i raise to wake then it just needs my print. The behavior has changed to this from having to press, but it should be noted that it is not necessarily a requirement.

I'll add that the touch id doesn't "almost always work" either. I constantly have to redo my fingerprints on my SE.

Maan, the less than awesome battery life and the lack of Night Mode unsweeten the deal quite a bit for me... And they very probably did that for that purpose. Looking forward to seeing battery tests and night photography tests
