It is not easy, but U make it look so easy.
Thanks for sharing, and I usually use fresh cranberries, and a very easy and healthy recipe, I use.
Fresh cranberries, in a 1 Lb. bag, 2 oranges, peeled and sliced and 3 tbl. Spoons sugar.
Put in a blender for few minutes, and enjoy fresh.
Thanks for sharing, and Happy Holiday.

Every other year at the end of the season when cranberries are on sale, I buy a BUNCH and throw them in the freezer. When raspberries come in I buy and freeze them, then I combine the cranberries and raspberries. I make enough to last for a year or 2 and use it on EVERYTHING. This year I mixed some with some cowboy candy and put it over cream cheese and put it on crackers. OMG what an amazing combo. LOVE LOVE LOVE cranberries.

    Thank you for your video.
    Six cups cranberries.
    Nine cups water.
One cup sugar, (I use half cup)
Boil the snot out of the cranberries (that's the good stuff)simmer a while and mash with masher. Strain through cheesecloth for clearish juice or through a wire mesh strainer for the thicker Juice. (I like it thicker myself)
    Add sugar stir and bottle.
You'll get about two litres of real cranberry juice and if you want the store bought "experience" with your juice, add lots of "water" and sugar. Water is so profitable and the sugar is the "fix", ... lol
The dehydrator is full of carrots and there's five quarts and eight pints of potatoes cooling on the counter.
I finally got my assets and did something.
But yesterday was good too with a dehydrator filled with apples and eight and a half pints of apple sauce.
Anywho, after days of not having a failure, one quart and two pints failed to seal, ... What's with that? (grumble, grumble)
The potatoes make the best home fries I've made in a while.
There's still thousands of pounds left in the field un-dug too. ... I'm tempted, ... They're the best potato I've caned in a while.
Have a great one and good luck.

Great video. I'm addicted to cranberries. Oranges are such a great touch to cranberry relish. I also garnish the top of the bowl of C relish with slice twisted for a pretty Turkey Day presentation.
I love cranberries and stock up every year on bags of them. I put them whole into a yellow cake mix, coat with sugar and pour into a tube pan then drizzle with glaze..yumm everyone loves it.
I tried something new last Thanksgiving. My vegan daughter requested my homemade cranberry sauce too be sweetened with Maple syrup...it was the bomb and the kids didn't even know :)). I love raw C relish too.

QUESTION… I’m disabled so lifting a water bath canner isn’t something I can do anymore. Would this steam canner work for anything I would normally water bath? If so it would allow me to once again can more things. Before our house fire and when I got hurt a few years later just out of our garden I would put up over 500 jars a year not including canning meats.
Now just to keep a few easy meals on hand I use a Carey canner but it can only hold 3 to 4 jars at a time so not practical for canning batches.
I started watching UA-cam and your channel in 2018 while recovering from spinal surgery. I LOVE your channel and how you inspire so many to learn to can and follow safe practices. I learned to can from my mom who would be over 100. Things sure have changed over the years. I’m going to be doing this. Can you double or triple the batch? God bless

Yes to the orange zest! I do make my own cranberry sauce but we don't eat sugar, I use a low carb option combo of stevia + erythritol. Would I have to use something additional to be able to can it? I have a stock pot & a pressure canner available to use.
Thanks & Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!

Without the sugar, it will turn brown within a few months on the shelf

How much were your cranberries this year? I haven’t seen them yet or Turkeys. Los Angeles area. Anybody else?
