  • In this video JP the Bee man performs a live honey bee removal in New Orleans, Louisiana. The bee hive is very large and requires the use of ladders to do the job. This particular job took all evening and into the night but the bees were very gentle and that is always a bonus in any bee removal job. JP is a professional bee removal specialist with many years of experience doing this sort of work so enjoy the video but don't expect to be able to perform a job like this for your first go, especially without using protective gear. JP will go just about anywhere to remove bees but home base is Metairie, Louisiana, approximately 10 miles west of New Orleans.

    My Uncle had bee hives, when I was 9 yrs old I had a swarm enclose my torso and left arm from a tree I was stood under. I didn't panic and slowly and carefully, so not to frighten them, followed my Uncle to an empty hive and they walked from my arm into the hive. It took 45 minutes, and I remember being fascinated looking and eventually finding the queen. Not one sting, nothing, I remember they were heavy and warm, and smelled wonderful.
    My Uncles friend said I was now Bee touched, and now that they knew me, they would never hurt me.
    I've picked up Bumble Bees who have gotten too heavy with pollen, and helped them. Honey Bees often land on me. Over the years I've often had Bees walk on me as I've been gardening, never once have I been stung. They are very special creatures. People don't realise how much we need them, they're an important part of the worlds ecosystem.
    Great video, I really enjoy watching people working with the Bees to save them.

    Thank you JP, for rescuing the bee colonies from the city. You were and are amazing! Now they'll be transferred out into a more suitable environment. Where they won't be exterminated by humans. Thanks again for saving them.

    Your video is the only one I've seen that showed the queen long and clear enough for me to be able to tell which one she was. That was a very large hive that looked like had it been in boxes there would have been 2+ brood boxes and 3 or 4 supers at least.

      Bart Hamburg 🤫 don’t tell anyone there not high at all 😂 and kinds of materials can be used as long as there’s nothing on it that’s harmful when you burn it. But this is what it does. The smoke produced by the smoker triggers a reaction in the bees and leads them to believe that their hive is on fire 🔥 🐝 🐝

    • @ilikecheatsdotnet8451
      @ilikecheatsdotnet8451 5 років тому +43

      Most bees are as gentle as pie, as long as you have smoke to put them into save the hive mode, instead of attack mode. Africanized bees on the other hand dont care about your smoke, they will fuck you up quickly. These on the other hand are European bees/american honey bees, unafricanized.
