Thank you for this video. I think it would be really fun if you found an older friend, someone over 60 and styled her. I would love to see what you do with that.
I’m laughing my head off. I’m living in small town Mexico where the streets are “cobblestones” (river rocks) and the sidewalks are all different levels and angles and broken. The only suitable shoes are Keene sandals or sturdy sneakers. What a relief from the tyranny of fashion. Women are under such pressure worrying about details like this.
It sounds lovely. I wish I lived there. But women and men are under no pressure. They think about such things for pleasure, not worry. They love putting together outfits and strutting them out. But surely even in your small town there are going out places to dress up. I always wear flats, because Im always late somehow and always parked million miles away. I guess the high heel ladies are smarter and more organized than me.
The biggest mistake I see around in most of the women nowadays is pairing dresses with white sneakers - every day and for nearly every occasion, and not as an exception. There is so many comfortable shoes to choose from and it is a big mystery to me why one would want to torture their feet in summer heat with bulky closed shoes that require wearing socks…
I understand ur point! Heard it a lot from other women . I personally think it can work but I do agree that especially for summer styling there are a lot of other casual and elegant shoe options.
I love wearing shoes with socks in the heat bc it offers protection from sun and pollution. And why I wear just white sneakers? Bc I want to buy as few shoes as possible that goes with as many outfits as possible and is comfortable. Minimalist life style and easy for traveling, less to pack.
Tennis shoes have mesh in them and are therefore very comfortable, not sweaty at all. They are designed specifically for people to exert themselves even in hot weather. You couldnt be more wrong. And I imagine they do it because they like the look. I switch them around with Mary jaNees, amnd sometimes even lace up sandals again, but o course people will always wear tennis shoes if they intend to walk in summer.
Me too, I have linen midi dress from mango with stripes and not sure about the shoes even after this video. Need more casual style too. All these heels arent wearable in my location, would soon break them maybe even with my ankle 😂 But anyway thanks Diana, I like your videos a lot!
I love your advice and you got me thinking about my combinations. I'm awful at picking shoes and handbags and then nothing matches or mix well I would love a video about a "capsule wardrobe" but with shoes and bags! How many is the minimun to have? Which are the basics? I need your help!
Interesting question! I’d say two pair of shoes, and 2 for bags is the minimum, I use a lot accessory sets, matching shoes bags and accessories, which allows maximum rotation. Check out this video on my channel to learn more about accessory sets : ua-cam.com/video/gfWDyZByies/v-deo.htmlsi=MnhHy224dH8rdhNZ
I am new to your channel and “European Fashion School”. I find that many of your lovely combinations are sleeveless. I’m 70 and don’t like my bare upper arms. Would love a video/videos on retaining this lovely style with my body restrictions!
I don't think most women nowadays wear high stiletto heels, and the lower heeled shoes you show seem to have thin heels and little foot support. Every year I search for good quality delicate leather low heeled strappy sandals and shoes. Very occasionally I have found a pair. Maybe you could do a video on the ones you find.
Yes, you’re smart. Those are the shoes to wear to look good and be comfortable for day or evening, not to immobilize yourself with foolish footwear choices. I keep mine from year to year because they’re so hard to find.
Strong feet and ankle muscles will support themselves and don’t need extra “support.” It’s also a matter of personal style. Her shoes are fabulous and look wonderful on her.
Helpful video! All of your optimized ensembles are beautiful. To focus on timeless pieces and avoid trendy pieces that become dated quickly, do you have a suggestion in place of mesh flats? What else would you consider a delicate flat? Thank you- would lone to see more videos like this with more dresses in other seasons and also skirts, suits/workwear.
Thank you! I know how to dress for spring, winter and fall, but i was completely lost on how to dress for summer. Your videos are helping me create my own summer style! ❤❤
I sure miss skin-tone shoes that “disappear”. They solved a lot of problems. All you needed to worry about was the “season” and “weight” of the shoe. In other words, sandals for summer, closed toes for winter. Just pay attention to the heel. That needs to come back! For those, I went for very high quality since I wore them a lot, and always looked good.
@@ceasarsaran8573 Hi. They were perfect for clothes that WEREN’T neutral colors. It’s so easy to pair shoes to neutral clothing, but colorful clothes were tricky! Intense ‘jewel tones’ make beautiful lush confident garments and black or white shoes just ruin the effect for being too “industrial” or “clinical”. They fail to “finish” the excitement a brilliant outfit presents. They drag it down. A shoe that concedes or defers to such strong clothing is perfect.
@@lobodo988 sounds nice. Seems like most clothing I wear needs a shoe that does something. Girly dresses need something to counteract them like a sporty or an industrial shoe... office clothing needs either polished shoe to make it more formal, or a relaxed shoe to make them more street...
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the *esluxy* leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
All such great points! Can you do one about pairing jackets or cardigan with different types of dresses? My default is always a denim jacket, but struggle to find an appropriate jacket to wear with more dressy dresses. Thanks!
For me turning 71 tomorrow August 1 I am despairing trying to sort out my deformed feet from wearing poor shoes over the years. I just cannot wear pointed toes and heels anymore. I really struggle to get the shoes right for the outfits I wear
Sneakers are the choice in NYC for summer. We walk everywhere here, and the sidewalks are too dirty to wear open shoes unless you want your feet to literally look black with gunk by the end of the day. But that doesn’t mean we have to look bad in NYC! I opt for high top platform converse in black or white, and I don’t wear maxi dresses. The platform gives the lift of heels, and the midi/mini hem of the dresses make the shoes feel like a purposeful statement rather than just chosen for practicality. For lovers of maxi dresses, I’ve seen them paired well with low top sneakers, sometimes even as a pop of color. Works especially well for people with longer lines proportionally. Moral of the story: sneakers can look great with dresses, but they have to look like they were purposefully chosen, not just for comfort.
I enjoy watching your channel and love the stying ideas. This is meant kindly. I think the English word you wanted is to say is “exude” as in, exudes charm. Excude isn’t in the English dictionary. I know you like to get it right. :)
The dress choices shown did not represent a wide variety, worn by the average woman in MY opinion. All were strictly for young or very thin women, also just too clingy and tight (except the mini dress) 😏 Maybe another video will address a bit more variety? ☺️👌🏻
I agree with the comment on the fishnet shoes. Not all trends are attractive and that one is awful, in my opinion and did nothing for the beautiful dresses you modelled. I agreed with many of the other ones but I also disagreed with the pink shoes with the Twiggy-look dress. The other shoes looked way better but I would not have worn any of them with the dress and gone more monochromatic. I am very into the raffia bags for summer though…that I am in complete agreement.
I never see anyone wearing the kinds of Italian shoes I wear. They look really good with dresses, skirts, pants, or shorts, they’re very well made, soft and comfortable for soft surface or pavement. Yet everyone is always showing either complete flats, which are bad for the feet with no support and the mules slip around, or they show heels whether kitten or stiletto, which are uncomfortable and really bad for the feet.

That *esluxy* looks waterproof like a collab was done with "Melissa" not an insult either! Its very cute!
Hoe can I get a refund
Thank you for this video. I think it would be really fun if you found an older friend, someone over 60 and styled her. I would love to see what you do with that.
Bought the clear bag from *esluxy* to go to a concert. It was GREAT! Breezed through security and wore it as a crossbody so I could dance and groove!!

Fabulous and insightful video Diana. All those dresses were beautiful.Thank you ❤
Fabulous!!!! I wear a dress several times a week! Thank you!

I can’t wear shoes that are tennis shoes in the desert in the summer. It’s 120 outside you have to wear sandals keep your feet cool😊
I love wearing shoes with socks in the heat bc it offers protection from sun and pollution. And why I wear just white sneakers? Bc I want to buy as few shoes as possible that goes with as many outfits as possible and is comfortable. Minimalist life style and easy for traveling, less to pack.
I watched a vlog yesterday which showed that the majority of women in Paris were wearing white sneakers... Every outfit, every age.

Thank you. What about shirt dress or a line midi/maxi cotton dress? Could you do similar video for pants, jeans, please? Best regards.
Yes, I'd like to see her style much more casual outfits

Beautiful outfits! Really useful tips.
I always watch your style love ❤️..I'm 5ft3 and you helped me look taller and elegant

Your ideas are great! Please use more flat shoes since those heels are not practical at all. Thank you!
Thks for your feedback! I am actually filming my new video about looking taller without heels! I think a lot of women will appreciate it!
For once, I agree 100% with a style video. This video is style & fashion in harmony!❤
Excelente video. Hoy aprendí nuevas cosas que pondré en práctica en mis outfits de verano. Gracias

Love the first dress!!!
Wow Thank You 🎊 I hope you do more in this series

So glad to hear that! I also don’t wear a lot of dresses during the year, but in summer I let myself go feminine and flirty 💯😊😂
Thank you for this video, it’s excellent!

Shoes are the most fun part of an outfit. Why would you want them to disappear?

My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
Very useful tips. Thank you. My f. dress is midi.
Very classy lady! Thank you!
Sorry I really couldn’t tell what the shoes looked like I think we needed a close up shot Thanks so Much 👍🏾😊
Спасибо,. Диана за полезный контент.
Sorry, the mesh shoes look terrible with everything.
😂😂😂 still my favourite ones
I don't like it either but they are super trendy and I'm afraid to get so used to them that I'd end buying a pair😂😂😂😂
You do you!!!
Exactly. Not just terrible. It’s totally horrible. That’s what I wear when I go swimming in the ocean.
I like them.
Love these tips!
Great video❤️ Love the tips since I tend to overthink many stylings.
Glad you liked it!! 😊
The mesh flats with the ankle strap looks the best compared to the ones without. The strap gives it a more elegant appearance.
I LOVE the white and black dress you have on!! would you wear a red open toe heel with that? or is that out of fashion?
Great suggestions, thank you! 🙌🏻
You're so welcome! Thank you for ur feedback! 🫶🏻
Excellent advice! 😍☺️😊❤️🥰🦩☀️🌴
Very glad it was helpful! 💙
Dear Diana, Could you explain the difference between structured and non structured bags (in a video ) ? Thank you in advance.
How about do's and don'ts of petite styling, please?
Next video on the channel August, 6th , please stay tuned ! 💙
Ready to learn❤
For me turning 71 tomorrow August 1 I am despairing trying to sort out my deformed feet from wearing poor shoes over the years. I just cannot wear pointed toes and heels anymore. I really struggle to get the shoes right for the outfits I wear
I'm 49 and I can't wear them either!
@gailselkirksmith. Same here.

Great video.
So helpful.
Love this brand too, I’d never heard of it before.
Can I ask you height please ? ❤
So glad to hear you liked it! I am 1,68 cm
Great video. Would really have loved to see the mesh ballerina you mentioned so often linked here as well. 😢
Thank you! Those I am wearing are quite old, but I added another pair from mango I own, they’re also super soft and comfy 💙

I joined your programme for styling last year but haven’t made use of it but maybe I have time left
The sunglasses on the correct combinations make a difference.
The brown dress, I'd go for a light natural leather shoes and bag.
Where did you get your hat and straw bag? Thank you.
The dress choices shown did not represent a wide variety, worn by the average woman in MY opinion. All were strictly for young or very thin women, also just too clingy and tight (except the mini dress) 😏 Maybe another video will address a bit more variety? ☺️👌🏻
Even young women don't wear these as often bc we want to be comfortable
I would like to see the best of strapless bras. Great channel.🎉
Thank you
You're welcome 😉🫶🏻
Please tell me what size you wear these dresses from this website . Thanks
Or matt gold, silver and blush.

I woud go for nude colored shoes.
All dat kislux bags sssssoooooooo gorgeous
and what about long sleeve kaftan dresses?
Black shoes have a place, but, I don't like black colored shoes for summer.
I've tried twice to get the free style portfolio but have not received it. What is up?

They look like the mesh 'no show' socks my daughter wears for running 😣
Most of these would pair better with kitten heels.
I like the videos but I wish you had included sneakers
Second pair of shoes look like torture similar to binding our feet. Free the feet! Wear comfortable shoes!
They are super comfortable and soft ))
I thought the app was free?

Couldn't see them properly.I don't like trainers with dress
I have 2 elegant pairs of shoes, 1 purse so ... 😅
LOL ! Ur not always right
The embellished mini dress with pink satin shoes and white bag, really? 🤷♀️
Thomas up😂
Your shoes should always match your bag color.
Well, dresses didn't impress) thanks for advice with shoes and accessories!)))
Glad the video was helpful! For dresses, it’s a pity though! But guess it’s a matter of personal preference.
People who dress like that don't want to be saved bruh😭
Those fishnet ballerinas of this year - They are just not flattering on anyone… sorry… they just are not class, smart or elegant… 😊
I usually like your videos, but lately you have been pairing outfits with those mesh shoes. Why in the world do you wear liner socks look alike? They are so tacky! ☹️
I only buy my clothes at Costco, so this advice is useless
I haven’t worn a dress in several years but still watched this vlog out of curiosity… it made me glad I don’t have to deal with these details!
Baillerines are awful
