    What a fabulous drummer.
I have just bought this snare (in the UK). It’s one of the best aluminium snares I’ve ever played.

This snare, in the medium tuning, sounds just as good to me as my 1968 Supraphonic. Wow.

That's one great sounding snare drum, especially the low tunings. How are you guys miking it? That also sounds great.

How come such a shallow drum to have so much body? What do you prefer this size or the 6.5?

How do you guys mic these snare demos?

So what's the difference between "mirror steel" and sensitone steel? difference in quality? Does it taste almost the same?

I don’t recommend eating your snare drum.

I don’t know what I’m missing… how do you get it it that dry? Is it just mixing? When I tuned my drum to a similar range to medium tuning, the fundamental pitch of the batter head rings out for a very long time. It was hard to even match the pitch of the batter head here because it’s so short
Im assuming there is no muffling, that wouldn’t make sense for a drum demo, and I know there is no internal muffler on the drum

im gonna guess its in your resonant head that needs tweaked, or your snarewires themselves, batter head is a small part of the whole sound

try tuning your resonant head asshole tight and adjusting the top head to your flavor. IDK why but it works for aluminum and steel very well.
