Best way to describe either era Diane era is a beartwarming show with a biting sense of humor While the Rebecca era is an over-the-top, farce with a ticklish sense of humor.
@@Brandon-lw1wxAs much as I absolutely loved the Sam/Diane romance, I think you're right. Writers probably could've done a great job with Sam and Diane's first year of marital "bliss" and then baby, don't think the show would've run another six years.
Shame that scene with Nick Tortelli didn't play out. He ends up whispering in Diane's ear and reducing her to pudding within seconds. This show was the best.
I hated Carla. She could see everybody's flaws but her own. I also didn't buy her as a heterosexual woman. She enjoyed Sam's horndogging as much as the men did. Weird fucking character.
Yeah the show became less intelligent in taste and acting like your taste in acting entertainment. The only two things good left in the show after Shelley Long left were Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth.
"Here's a man quicksand would spit up..."
ROFL! The writers in this show were the unsung heroes. Hilarious!
4:21 Shelly Long was so KING.
The writing on that show was just amazing. I can only imagine what the writers room was like each week.
"On behalf of all the intelligent women in the world let me say Whew!"
i still got to say.
dianne rules over rebecca.
dianne brings a bite to the show.

...and as Diane might say, "Viva la difference!"
Don’t mind Sam, he’s a little depressed. This is the year his age caught up with his IQ. 😂😂😂
I can see what attracted Frasier to her.
her impression of a jock is scene stealing
The best show ever!
"You're taking me? The only thing you should be taking is penicillin." Gotta love Diane.
Diane was amazing, I wonder what fantastic scenes she'd have had in Seasons 6 to 11. Lots of married turmoil and great pregnancy moments no doubt 😢
The show would have been cancelled sooner. The Diane schtick was getting old by season 5. They had an opportunity to change gears and it worked.

Yah marriage is death to bachelor laughs
@@zaxxx1975 Nah, those writers could have handled anything.
I imagine she would have had many great moments as she would have been in prison for Murdering Sam lol
4:05 that line always cracked me up. They threw the insults pretty fast in that fight.
Great writing! Comic genius.
love her!!!
BEST SITCOM CHARACTER EVER
YES!!
Ahhh Markie Post....
She’s so gorgeous
Shame that scene with Nick Tortelli didn't play out. He ends up whispering in Diane's ear and reducing her to pudding within seconds. This show was the best.
Loved that girl so much.
Carla: the cruelest character on tv, ever...
She kind of spoiled the fun for me. I wish Diane and Cliff had stood up to her more.
She was too mean to live. I never found her funny. And that's rare on that show.
I forgot how funny Diane was sometimes...
@Duggygee 123, and then you sober up.
cheers with diane is the best
@MissShelley-e7l yes after she left cheers was not anymore good like with her I love conversation Sam and Diane the best ,,,,
Genius writing…..
"Who is the bimbo desour?" That was a good line of hers to one of Sam's datesl
"du jour" actually... as Diane herself would not hesitate to point out.
@@independentfilmchannel1476 stupid French spelling!😡
two words.. Nick Tortelli...
OK, I'm as surprised as anyone, but there's some Tortelli camel toe at 2:26 that is a scene-stealer.
More like "Diane Chambers in HD for 4 and a half minutes straight."
The Tortelli's---what a creation
Truly one of the shows ever made.
Too bad Nick didn't make more appearances. He added a lot to every episode he was in.
Looks like Whoopie dresses Sam
Couldn’t make Suma 😏 …every scene was a zinger especially the last that included Cliff 😅
yes
266...Yep.
My feelings for Diane are the same that Carla has. I hate Diane.
Loved Diane. Hated Rebecca.
My feeling were love at first episode for Diane.
I hated Carla. She could see everybody's flaws but her own. I also didn't buy her as a heterosexual woman. She enjoyed Sam's horndogging as much as the men did. Weird fucking character.
@Thedrunkape96. You hate Diane for the same reason Carla did. She was always too smart for you both.
Diane was one of the worst actors ever I was pleased when she left the show improved out of sight
Sure. So bad, she won an Emmy for Cheers.
Your taste is matched by your eloquence.
You couldn't be more wrong.
@@samclark1239 Agreed - the opposite is true. She was excellent in the show and her replacement was a disappointment.
