"Smoking Cigars is like falling in love.
First, you are attracted by its shape; you
stay for its flavor, and you must always
    ◦remember never, never to
    ◦let the flame go out!'

I've heard a lot of different opinions on Cuban v New World most of the growers were from Cuba now in Central America they know their craft they know how to prep the soil they turn out a product that I think is superior their always trying new methods, and the reason for the quality decline in the Cuban product is the rollers followed the growers to the New World and their children have now learnt the growing and rolling skills, and unlike Cuban cigars you can be certain your getting a authentic cigar when it's a New World cigar.

I just discovered home rolling, there are a few good sellers of whole leaf online, we definitely need more. Getting whole tobacco leaf, rolling my own, and discovering that my first few cigars can be just as rewarding experience if not more than the commercial bought cigars just blows my mind. It has taken my respect and enjoyment of the craft and art of cigars to new levels.

I truly appreciate the topic and the entirety of the interview. The points touched on spirituality and respect are the main reasons why
I got into the use of cigars, by extension of tobacco. As a child, I grew up to the essences of my grandfather sit in the shade of his favorite spot in the yard sipping coffee with his tobacco pipe in hand…. As an adult working in the project management department. I have some tough days that the only way to get relax is the ritual of the cigar. It’s deeper than we think, it’s a deep spiritual experience of a journey from lit to offering the end to the ancestors and local land spirits. Thank you 😊

Now I must admit I have only smoked a handful of Cuban cigars but I can say, I don't see the hype. Either the quality was way better 20 plus years ago, or maybe new world cigars have just gotten that much better...... But I don't see any point to buying Cuban unless they are the same price as new world cigars. For one, why would you only want to smoke tobacco from one small region when you can buy cigars from all over the world or even a mix of differ tobacco‘s from around the world in one cigar. To me that's what makes cigars fun and keeps them interesting.... Wondering what this tobacco mixed with this kind, bonded in this other kind of tobacco and then wrapped with this other different kind of tobacco. So many different combinations to come up with endless flavor, profiles, and strengths. Like for me, there had been some amazing tobaccos coming from Mexico these days. The San Andreas wrapper has been a stand out choice for me and I was given a few Mexican puros with diff mixes that was just out right amazing and tasted like nothing I ever had before. Brazil is starting to get more attention so I'm hoping they start making more quality tobaccos.
There is no reason why a Cuban don't cost the same as a Perdomo, Rocky Patel and other high quality cigars in that 9 to $15 price point.
