  • Currents dropping yet ANOTHER banger! All I have to say is DAMN, this track is BRUTAL. Based on these singles, I feel it’s pretty safe to say this next album is going to be their best one yet, and it’s not even close. Which is also saying a lot, considering all their albums have been amazing thus far. This bands consistency is incredible. But anyway, I hope you all enjoy the cover! Any suggestions for old Currents songs for me to cover while we wait for this next album are more than welcome - have a few from The Place I Feel Safest in the works. As always, thanks for stopping by! If you enjoyed, make sure to sure some love and like and subscribe if you haven’t already!
Tuning: Drop F (this is a first for a Currents song I believe)
    Tone: Neural DSP Archetype Petrucci
    #Currents #Vengeance #TheDeathWeSeek

Wow drop F dude? You picked that up well!!! I automatically assumed drop E from the heaviness and previous Currents songs lol great work dude!

Haha yea man! I was shocked myself! Funny thing is it sounded heavy as FUCK to me as well so I automatically grabbed my 8 string thinking maybe they went LOWER than drop E (despite Chris saying he doesn’t play 8 strings) and was quickly shocked to realize it wasn’t even drop E! But yea man they MOSTLY use drop E with the occasional drop G#, so I guess that difference of a semitone just rocked my world when trying to decipher it 😭😂 but much appreciated my man’s! Can’t wait until we get a full album announcement!

Yes this album will honestly be their best yet especially looking forward to more of their melodic side in this album, honestly I would put the place I feel safest ahead of the way it ends as far as technical approach to their writing but every album and EP blows me away, this song is by far their heaviest and Brian’s vocals are a little different too in an amazing way!!

Amazing job my guy, yea there's a number of songs on this album in Drop F along with Drop B. Which is different from their usual Drop E and Drop G#. Definitely a banger of an album. I had to go learn this one really quick

Bro I love how you play. It's like you're just in a happy peaceful place. That's dope. I know some people would say you look bored. But nope I don't see that, I see peace and you're just vibing. And amazing cover as well. I'm working on my cover right now. I'm using my 8 strings(the first 7 strings cause I have it tuned to a Drop G# with my low 8 tuned to a F. I used it for a lot of after the burial and volumes covers. So I digitally down tune the Drop G# part down to the Drop F). That's only until I get my other 7 back from getting setup. I might post my cover on both guitars. But I don't know. Great job though my guy! I love to use your Currents cover to help me learn the parts along with my GP files and tab books from Sheet Happens. I also have the jam tracks too. Which brings a different aspect to my practicing the songs. For me it's like what I would use for my in ears during a show lol.

Your every cover of currents are great Alex. Always on top. Consistent. Thought that was drop E.
I always wanted to see a cover of very old currents track called Derelict.

Thank you for the kind words! And yes, I had thought it might’ve even been lower than drop E at first, it sounded so heavy! I’ll try to give that a shot though when I have a chance, I’m a bit rusty on their older material so I’ll have to check it out again and get familiar with it 👍🏻

@@alexweinmuller Btw there is no covers of Derelict present at the moment. You might become the first ) I do understand that old songs are not that popular in terms of raw views.

He’s seriously a musical genius, between Currents and Shadow of Intent he never misses. And BRO they’re amazing live, I’ve seen Currents three times so far, and Chris with SOI in January of 2020 and all of those sets were top tier

@@alexweinmuller He really is I love every single song from their albums and the singles too and it's amazing even though I just know one or two songs from SOI, Brian's vocals até amazing too, my favourite metal vocalist, it's so damn raw and aggressive and the lyrics hits so damn hard, it's perfect, as soon as I have the chance I'll go to as many of their shows as I can

Amazing how you figured this song out so quick. Did you use a pitch shifter at all (like at 0:54) and if so how many octaves?

Thanks my man’s! And yes, I did use a pitch shifter! It was a whole octave from where you see me playing it I believe!
