“‘Vengeance’ is the manifestation of pent-up aggression over the last few years since the release of our album The Way it Ends. It’s becoming disillusioned, taking yourself to places you never thought you’d be, and the rage and despair that comes along with that. It also talks about the desire to let those feelings go and to move forward, but not without digging deeper into that negativity first and exploring the satisfaction that comes with the right revenge…”

Coming back to say I think Chris Wiseman is one of the most underrated and talented songwriters and producers of this scene and generation. Look at the work he does across Currents and Shadow of Intent, the atmosphere created in each track. He is so incredibly musically talented and I will simp for this man until the day I die

Absolutely. I can't wait man!!! Dying for new album. It's all recorded and ready! Let's go!!!! ( Man this song will grow on me but this is the first song ever heard by them that I didn't instantly fall in love with. That being said I'll grow more of course but I know this album will be my AOTY)
@@forevermarked5826 I hope so. As a HUGE Currents fan, these last two singles have been fairly mediocre IMO. I miss the variations/switchups in all of their other material, both of the new singles feel heavy for the sake of being heavy, idk. Maybe in the context of the album these work better
@@mikeormoab yeah honestly haven't been super impressed by either of the two singles. I like this one a lot more but I feel they're missing a little bit of their melodic/groovy aspect. In any case new album is gonna bang

This album is crazy fucking good, but sometimes the transitions to the clean parts really cut the vibe too harshly
And I love both, what I see is that if this band is to ever surpass this amazing work, it can be about that, having the clean/screaming parts match a bit better
