It had been dry here too, until this past couple of weeks. My mom has a bunch of hostas. I wouldn't have ever thought to cut the root of it. Tfs! Blessings!

So you can grow from a leaf cutting with no root on it? Like accidentally broke the leaves off, will they root??

Hello, On Hostas I have grown a lot of starters from parts without roots. If it is broken off near the ground will have better luck. I usually just put it in Water and see what happens, sometimes they do not take root. During the summer I am always starting different plants. Trial and error. Lots of plants can be started and shared like this.
