This is the seventh video of a ten-part Breath of the Wild any% speedrun tutorial series. We're finally leaving the Great Plateau and going through Hyrule Castle for the weapons we'll need for the Blights and Calamity Ganon fights. I hope you've found these videos helpful so far. Hi, here's a quick tip I've found helps me (a beginner) with the upcoming fights. I like to grab the knight's broadsword by the 6aa route chest as a backup sword so that if I mess up a bit on a blight and I don't know what I should do to finish it off, I always have a sword which I can use when I need to save other weapons' durability.
this is great, also for people not confident in beating blights in the short meal time (me) u can get a naydra fang in the chest (lmao im dumb and mixed it with the shroom crates) next to the lizals at the beginning of castle
Yes! In that chest behind the ivy under the stairs. Excellent meal booster, but adding it in my script made the video a little too long
Can you specify where to shoot on windblight skip?
how many arrows should i have left for it to be safe for me to stun the moblin?
Minimum needed there to still make 7 in zelda's room would be 3-4 depending on if youre also using an arrow to shoot a malice eyeball in the 6aa route
If you dont shoot an arrow for anything else but the boulder launch, you should still have 4 arrows left when arriving at the castle

But I have a question. I wanted to buy the dlc, is there anything about the dlc that affects the speedrun and I might regret? I think I heard something like that but I'm not sure
Nope, should be fine. They just took off the section to even mark wheter or not you have dlc installed when you submit a speedrun. The ONLY thing i can think of is that theres a dlc treasure chest near the lizalfos when you first enter castle, that if youre not careful to turn your camera away from them to camera blind them, they might be more likely to notice you... its something about the way the game loads in that chest when youre moving quick
where do you drop into the castle after blss? is there like an infographic or marked area on the map itself?
If you watch on the video, i go past the leaning shekiah post and drop down where theres supposed to be a gate
I have a little problem, every time I die in the blights I spawn again in the room with the Moblin, am I too fast or what am I doing wrong?
Great question! Yes, youre too fast lol.. basically, the game didnt catch up to you after the windbomb to sanctum. To fix this for more efficient blights practice, i find that if you pause and manually save the game while link is holding onto that wall that you use to set links facing angle for windblight skip, the game will load you inside the sanctum consistently, instead of back in zelda's room

Two quick question
1: I keep failing the wind bomb to get back in bounds and end up not getting enough height do you know how to fix that?
2: would you consider making a video about the IST glitch?

1: As far as getting height goes, you can treat it a bit like tree wb and delay square placement a bit. If by "keep failing" you mean exploding link with no flight, it's possibe that dropping circle bomb too fast on that slope can cause it to roll slightly out of alignment and fail the wb.
2: i will add an ist video to my list. Im so behind on making more vids, but ive been busy trying to finally break the 30 min barrier. Im sooo close. Once i hit that goal, im gonna finish batching out some more vids and ist is pretty sweet but ive gotta learn more myself still ;)

Ps, when i do the oob wb up to zeldas room, i jump, drop circle, pull bow, turn camera all the way up, then drop square and blow circle. Maybe that slight delay while i turn camera os what gets me consistent height
i cnt seem to find the perfect windbomb timing to zelda' study
Takes practice. Try a similar timing to the tree wb in stasis, that'll get you more height
The blights are much harder with the new route compared to the old one cause you have to get everything first try because you don't have much arrows
Yeah inventory is def stripped down in this route, but as long as you aim carefully, you should be good, and there is some room for error
I saw a route that kinda gets the best of both worlds with getting ancient arrows and getting some arrow rng opportunities
When I do windblight skip, the arrow connects AFTER the cutscenes instead of during it. Is my aim off or am I walking in too fast?
Maybe try when you unpause after eating your meal just pressing B, don't hold it. That way Link will walk into the cutscene zone instead of sprinting. Hope that helps
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast I figured out what the problem was. For some reason I didn't have my royal guard's bow equipped, but I've gotten it consistent now. Thanks
@@Ajsavage11 ah lol yeah that's a learning experience most of us go through. For 3 ancient arrow route, I like to unequip the bow as soon as i land the windbomb going up to zelda's bedroom. For 6aa, i unequip as soon as i fire the shot to distract the moblin in that room. That way, the royal guards bow automatically equips when you grab it.
I doubt this will get a response but holding down and B on the 6AA route isnt giving me a jump off the wall and im so lost

Idk if someone will see this but i HOPE! I Decided to go for castle btb in my runs but still going for blss route on plateau. I end up having the boko lance instead of the axe and i just cant find a consistent setup for the castle btb with the boko lance. Anyone who has an idea?
I find it easier to blss of the temple of time window ledge
I dont have an amibo but great tutorial i think a btb is faster theres new strats that are faster then blss
You dont need amiibo, you can grab razorshrooms out in the field otw to castle. Where are you seeing or hearing about new strats from?
How many razorshrooms do i need in total for no amiibo?
4 minimum. You pick up the 4 out in the field. So yeah, the 5th in the box at castle is optional, but very recommended bc it makes your attack up timer more lenient to work with

No more banana rng... or rng of any kind really, except maybe chuchu spawns for no amiibo :)
