Hey I live in Canada with a ball python and its the middle of winter and he doesn't seem to want to leave the warm side of his encloser is this okay?
That basically means it is trying to stay warm. You may not have it warm enough. I use digital temperature probes whenever I want to know the temps. I check directly under the heating element and I also check the far side of the enclosure as well.
What beginner snake would you suggest?
Are you referring to venomous or non-venomous?
