- The IWI Tavor x95 has been in service with the Israeli military since the late 2000's. This rifle was a huge step forward in creating a bullpup that translated well to shooters from other platforms.
• IWI Tavor X95 Overview
There's a lot to be said about the newest addition to the bullpup lineup, but we believe the new Hellion will agree with many. This space gun is packed with features, shoots extremely well, and works well with Beskar armor. This is the way.
• Springfield Hellion Bu...
You were constantly saying TAVOR is a battle tested design, like Hellion isn't. VHS-2 (Hellion) has been in use in Croatian army since 2009. It was used in Iraq and Afganistan. The fact that is new to American market doesn't meen it is untested and new rifle.
You are absolutely correct. There are reports of the VHS still being used in Iraq an even in the current Russo/Ukraine conflict.
Well, why wouldn't they be in use. This is military rifle, manufactured for longevity, precision and endurance. I know my country have sent some AK-47 and high caliber cannons to Ukraina, but I am not sure about VHS-2.
The VHS kicked butt in the French military trials too, Glad they have made their way to the States. Not sure where they got them either, but we had someone comment on the Hellion review video that a couple of their guys on the front line in Ukraine were using them.
@@texasgunexperience5096 Ukraine army have also their proprietary bullpup rifle, mostly special units. Also, bolt release on Hellion have to be pushed with thumb, not pinched.
Thats a heavy push for a thumb, but maybe we are just being weak. That Malyuk looks super interesting, would love to see one in person.
My girlfriend got me the x95 for Christmas and got her the Hellion. After around 400 rounds through each I love them both. I do like the backup sights on the Springfield way better. JUST GET THEM BOTH ! LOL

The piston systems are different too - one is a long stroke piston, the other a short stroke piston - which also has an effect on the resulting accuracy.
With these bullpup rifles being able to adjust the buttstock is a big deal. Thanks
Hellion doesn’t come with an A2 flash hider, and never did. It comes with a 4 prong flash hider… Just a correction
Awesome video, gonna need more space guy footage though.
ha! We are down for any excuse to nerd out!
Thanks for the video. I had an AUG for years and it hated suppressors, I bought a Hellion last month and have 400rds+ suppressed threw it, No jams, with No Gas in my face, Perfect. The Hellion even has a forward assist. The controls are good enough. May just throw my ARs away. lol . Take care.
Right on! Thank you for sharing.
I going all bullpub. AR are cool but im short and bullpub works best for me. I have the hellion and fn ps 90. Going to sell my scar17s, saint evac, and saint edge. Lol
Thank ypu Bryon for such informative videos . Please do more videps on Sub machine guns . Star Z84,Uzi,Saab-Bofors CBJ-MS ,Brugger-Thomet MP9 etc. Pleae 🇨🇦
Never tried the Tavor, but I do have a Hellion & AUG.
I duel-wielded them at the range once, with the Hellion in my left hand, & the AUG in my right. I was very surprised to learn that the AUG actually has less felt recoil. & although both triggers are pretty "meh," I actually prefer the AUG's trigger because it's a straight-pull [back] trigger, whereas the Hellion's pivots really far, like in a revolver.
They're both similar but different, each has its pros & cons. If I ever see a Tavor, I'll be sure to try it out.
I own both and love both, the Hellion will soon have a surefire suppressor and the X95 will run unsuppressed
Like how you operate!
After looking at both, I went X95. The somewhat awkward VHS safety was a bit off-putting for me, and of course, the mag changes. Those items shouldn't be too hard to get used to, but the X95 still 'fit' me a bit better.
The Tavor length of pull is about the same as the M16A2, or my Magpul stock all the way out. The safety is easily manipulated with the left hand trigger finger, so an ambi safety is not an issue for me. THAT SAID, I really wish a larger aftermarket case deflector would come onto the market; to make shooting from the left shoulder less distracting.
I also went with the IWI traditional pistol grip w/standard guard. I also tried the Manticore folding charging handle, but went back to the stock part. The original part gives a camming action to help unlock a sticky bolt, as well as a forward assist button, to nudge the bolt that last bit forward to fully lock, if needed.
OVERALL, a great comparison! I've considered swapping my Tavor for a VHS, to compare and contrast features...Problem is, I like my X95 a LOT!
Sell it and save up for a black rain ordnance bullpup
Dunno why youd get a tavor in 5.56 when the 7.62x51 is just as small lol.
Love mine!
What fore-grip is on the Tavor?
chopped down magpul vertical forgrip
Your videography is way too good to have the amount of subscribers you have.

The Desert Tech MDRX & Keltec RDB are both the most modern and best bullpups on the market.
Haha, no chance in hell.
TAVOR X95 discontinued replaced in Israel by the M4, no accuracy, problem with barrel design (2 rings weaken barrel), NO PARTS...TAR 21 is superior
Haha, no… all their M4s are in service is only because they were gifted. That is all.
@@TransformersHoarder I am not the only one who talks about the problem of the x95 barrel.........I prefer X95 330 13 in Micro-Tavor,
Bullpups are overrated garbage. The very definition of 'tacticool'.
It's okay brother, I can't afford one either
You mad bro???
Yet they are in military use around the globe.
huh? 🤣
@@TheAeasy19 lol
I own both and the X95 is far better in build quality. I like both but if I'm going to war its the X95 all day
Agreed
